I would like to know if there is a way to make a flash movie that sends information straight to my email with the push of a button. Is it possible? Can it be done without knowledge of the person? I want to have a poll, and calculate the votes by hand, or eye, I suppose. I just don't want to have to set up a server of any kind.

I have the form created, and I'll post the .fla file (I allow a laugh at my elementary flash movie. This is just a final project for an intro to flash class), and I understand I'll need the .asp file from GoDaddy setup on my hosted space.

I had an idea of taking two pictures of a hand with a nutcracker in it, the first with the nut whole and the second with the nut cracked and then make it a button.It should also have a counter on the side so users can se how many "nuts the cracked" and a submission form with email, name, city and adress. When the user have cracked enought nuts they should be able to fill in the form and press send button so a certain email addy gets the info.

I have a slider ... This slider controls a value 1 to 5 ... I have written the script in flash to make that slider control the radius of a sphere in Maya (using mel scripting) ... so imagine I have two screens one with my flash interface with the slider and the other with maya and my sphere ... I have a interactive movie clip with buttons. The problem I have with my movie clip is that whilst the movie is playing and I click the forebtn, it stops the movie. Ideally I would like the movie clip to start playing straight away when I press the fore button.

I am attempting to create a Flash site with a Contact Us form where people can email me through the flash site by entering their Contact Information and it emails me there info.

I can receive the emails when I use this, however, it does not send me the information I type in the flash site. It just sends me a blank email.
So I have a PHP proxy that gets information from a website. Let's say the proxy gets the information from (www.example.com). It checks if the number of lines returned is the same as before, if not then there are more lines, it counts the difference then it need to push this information to the Flex client saying that it has new information, (x) more lines have been written.I am not really sure how to do the push mechanism on the php proxy because I am not sure how to actually push from the proxy to the client, never done it before.

This is a really easy one that I thought would be easily found on google but I can't think of the terminology. I'm using CS4 and AS3 with a few multi-line dynamic text boxes beneath one another. When I populate the top text box I would like it to automatically push down the other text boxes beneath it when the content flows on to extra lines.
At the moment it only wraps to the gap that is between each text box but then stops when reaching the text box beneath. Is there a property to allow for this (I've worked in Silverlight and there was on controls there) that I can just set or will I have to manually implement this and call functionality to re-set all the controls y properties each time I change the text in the text box?

How do you make an MC travel in a single straight line (not two, not three, only one) according to mouse position and current position?
View 3 RepliesI've managed to follow some drawing tutorias which work fine (mouse down draws a line everywhere you move mouse like MS paint).I would like to adapt this now if I can so that when a user clicks down, a straight line will follow their mouse until they click again and this releases the straight line. This should leave one line on the screen, then they are free to move their mouse and repeat the action again.
View 6 RepliesI am trying to move a playing card across the screen from the deck to the players hand. The deck is in a stationary position and each player has 2 card places in front of them which are also stationary. The deck is a movie clip called "deck" and the player cards are named "p1c1" and "p1c2"....(player # card #). The animation I am trying to accomplish is to duplicate the "deck" movie clip and move it to the players card. Once it reaches the players card, the stationary card will load the card image and the duplicated movie clip will be removed to make it appear as a smooth transition.
