I purchased a slideshow/bannner online and cannot get it to work on my main flash document. In CS4 I click on the homepage 1st key frame then from the library I drag the banner_mc into the homepage stage.
I have a flash website that's been running fine, but since I installed Wordpress on that server, the SWFs won't load from Internet Explorer. It still works fine in Firefox on both the Mac and Windows platforms. The Flash website is not associated with the WP blog at all, but it exists along side. I tried moving the blog folder up a level, farther away from the Flash site, but it didn't help. IE will see the index page, and the html elements, but no longer will load the flash. It's was working fine before. I should mention that there is also a b2 evolution blog installed in another directory on the server, if that makes any difference.
I'm building a portfolio website for my design work. The whole website is Flash based. I have a Flash banner that I would like to add to the website but I can't seem to place it on stage. Is there a way to stream the banner? If I do that, how do I place it's location on stage?
I am a c# asp.net developer and need to implement a number of flash website banners. Previously for static image banners I have implemented on_click code behind or javascript to log the banner has been clicked back to a database and process the re-direction. I don't have much knowledge of flash other than I know that a flash program can handle on-click events of the program. Therefore, can somebody suggest the best solution for capturing and processing on-click events of a flash object on a webpage.
I have made a Flash banner for my website using CS3 but I wanted to add a hyperlink to it so that when someone clicks on my banner it will bring them to a different page on my site, kinda like the way ad banners work on most websites on the net. I have the official Adobe CS3 Flash manual as well as another one on Flash CS3 just as thick but I can't seem to find anything in either that explains how I can do this.
I am having trouble adding a flash banner to my website and I am running php5. I want to use it to help my site sell the new iPad 2. Which product do I need to use to create the flash banner and display photos that I am selling on my auction?
I need to display a Username in a Flash Banner in my website. The Site is PHP and the header is made in Flash. My requirement is that, when a user Logs in, his name should be displayed in the Top of the site (in the Flash banner here) like "Welcome User". Is it possible ? I have the PHP file which displays username. All I need is that to merge it to the flash banner (through actionscript, isnt it ?)
I purchased a flash website template and am in the process of editing my main.fla file. In order to get listed on an advertising website with a higher rating, I have to place a reciprocal link to them on my site. However, I cannot figure out how to place an html link/banner on my site for other businesses. If I paste the html code in a text box, all that shows up is the html code rather than the image and link it is meant to generate.
My client is complaining that the site that will be hosting her banner is refusing to add the forwarding link to her banner (that upon clicking will redirect to her website). I'd like to know how I can add this function to the Flash CS5 banner I have designed. Also, I have a clicktag on my banner if that makes a difference.
I have been building a website in dreamweaver, but have flash buttons which work fine. But the banner I have made in the page just has a white background. When I export it in flash it works, and when I preview in the dreamweaver browser it still works. I do not know what I have done wrong. Is the coding in the server wrong for the flash?
I'm making a piece of flash used for a website banner, previously i've had very little experience with action scipt as i've made various animations only having to use simple functions such as "stop()" and i've made a never ending scrolling menu also, but now i want to have an event that "onPress" a small animation is played where the mouse clicked the banner. What would be the appropriate script to link the .swf i make to the "onPress" command? or what is the right command in general assuming it is that command
I am having this problem on a website where the flash banners for each page wont load in any browser until you either refresh F5 the page or try re-clicking the page nav links a few times. Once loaded they are fine, but if browser's cache is cleared, no go. [URL] Some research suggested "Usually this happens if there are a lot of linkaged objects in the library with 'Export in first frame' option enabled. If this is the case, please disable this option. The problem is not in the quantity of the linkaged movieclips with 'Export in first frame' option enabled, the problem is the size of the objects which are linkaged."
I'm trying to make a Flash banner for a website and I'm having trouble with the play/pause part. Right now I've got it set up as 100 frames with 10 keyframes and 10 pictures and at the end it goes back to the beginning. Here's my AS:

How do I make it so that it only reads the first part of hte code and then reads the next after the user clicks it the second time?

I have de-compiled the SWF and checked out the library, but really have no idea in regards to Flash files and their construction as to what is or isn't an issue.
i am making a website for a client, and i have created a template system which reads different XML files as the user clicks on different menu options. The same template is being used on all the menus (with different xml files).
This template has a slideshow feature which is behaving abruptly, sometimes it cross fades to the next image properly and the other times it just stops working or cross fades extremely fast.I have tried and tested the code for bugs many times, but as i am new to as3, cant seem to get the right solution.
I personally feel that the swf template is not being unloaded when a new menu item is clicked(and the new xml is loaded), then there is some sort of a conflict between the new and old code and it ultimately breaks up.
Is it possible to load a Flickr slideshow into a Flash website?
I know you can load it into an HTML page, but I want to load it into my 100% Flash website. However, I can't get this to work. I picked apart the HTML embed code and pieced it back together as a URL that gets me exactly what I want, but Flash will not do anything with it.
Here is the code I am using:
Code: Select allvar loader:Loader = new Loader(); btn_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClick); function btnClick(e:MouseEvent):void{ loader.load(new URLRequest(root.loaderInfo.parameters.flickrURL +

I am new to Flash AS3 and I was following a tutorial from Lynda.com to build my website. Realized there were some things I wanted to do that they didn't have in their tutorial but I searched the net and figured it out. Now I am stuck again.
I recently made a slideshow in Fireworks and want to it to load when a user clicks to the Portfolio page on my time line. Fireworks exports the gallery into an xml and index.html that has code to automatically load the swf that contains the slide show.

I am being asked to create an expandable banner for a website. They want an ad to start at 175x300 and automatically expand to fill the webpage when you enter the page. Then have a close button. I have basic flash skills and have never created this before.
It's pretty common on many Architectural and Engineering sites to have a small movie on the home page. For example: URL... I've made similar movies for my websites using flash, and there always seems to be a lag and an image icon while the movie to loads. Here is a site where the movie loads unnoticeably: hensonarchitect com. Is there a way to use flash and have the movie load without an image icon placeholder? The flash movie that I have in mind is only 90kb, so a preloader isn't needed.
Im trying to create a banner similar to the one seen on this website:[URL].. It has numbers to take you through the images, previous/next tabs and it autoplays with a pause button also. All the pictures link to various places around the site, and i cannot find anywhere on how to go about creaating something like this.
Ive been reading and watching tutorials all over and can do the basic tweening and autoplay/loop funtions with timer and timer reset in it, but i dontknow how to go about this one as im very new to this.
I've made a website using AS3 in CS5 Flash, I then decided to add a 'Slideshow Gallery' into the site. I made a new page, called it 'gallery' (this page is made from frames 73-86) and then looked at making a slideshow.[code]...
I understand that there are many methods to creating a slideshow on a website, but that isn't my question. What I really want to know is what is the most mainstream method of creating a slideshow on a website. What do you recommend? So far I've seen Jquery, Javascript, CSS & DHTML, and Flash. The first thing that comes to mind for me is flash, then second Javascript.

The photographer at this site [URL] wants me to modify the slideshow on the home page. He wants to replace some of the old photos with new ones. Can I do this with Adobe Flash CS3? If so, please point me to tutorials that will get me up to speed. Or maybe it's too difficult for a Flash newbie?
