IDE :: Make The Text Stay Center And A Certain Size So That It Won't Scale To Fit The Screen?
Jan 20, 2009
When you drag the screen in any direction the background scales and rezises.But How do I make the text stay center and a certain size so that it wont scale to fit the screen and will stay a certain size
I have a center window and a background in my flash file. I am trying to get the center window to stay in the center of the web browser screen and get the background to expand and fill the entire web browser screen below center window layer. Sort of like this site [URL] I've currently converted the background to a movie clip and have this code.
OK so i have a character that moves with the mouse. I need it to stay in the center of the screen(kind of like a platformer game). I can't figure out how to access the camera and move it. (Note: I have tried Vcam and moving all of the other objects but Vcam makes the file slow or something [or so i have heard] and moving the other objects in kind of like cheating [and for my needs is insufficient]) I don't have any code because i don't know where to start. Maybe someone can point me into the right direction.
i want a character to stay in center of screen and where ever we click on the page the character goes there , i mean that click position comes to centre with ease and we can also navigate map like age of empires, or DOTA but in that case character stick at its own position to map.
Im not flash developer so i dont know how to do this but i can do designing. I am attaching a fla with this pls do this experiment with that fla file so that i can understand it easy. Being a non programmer it is tough to understand these things for me. those brown sections in this map would be colusion areas , where we cannot move character and blue is river. so we cannot move character to river too.
[ X ] Problem solved I just came up with something i have some trouble to handle I've tried a couple of solution but none seems to work perfectly
What I'm trying to do is simple, get my flash to go full screen, but whatever resolution the user has, my flash must centers itself with the biggest proportion possible, and two movie clips goes right and left of it, as if they were borders.
I've been able to do this with a simple png, but i was not able with a movieclip where his dimension changes through time. ( i have a tween, so the mc gets really big even though just my stage is displayed)
Tried stage.stageWidth and stageHeight on applicationComplete, but for some reason the actual numbers returned do not seem to be accurate - the image always appears off-centered (stageWidth/2 - imageWidth/2). How do you determine the mobile device's actual screen size, to center an object?
I have finally finished my website. It works great, except the website is placed far on the left side of the screen. I would like my website to be placed in death center, kind of floating in the center and stay the same size regardless of how viewer adjusts the window size.I am trying to change alignment in PUBLISH SETTINGS (html alignment) but there is no "center" option. Only right, left, top, bottom. Here is the link to my posted .html: [URL]
Someone has created a map where there are little colored buttons over building locationsThe buttons were made so that when you hover your cursor over them, they will bring up a little chat bubble (like the ones you see in comics) with the appropriate street address text. What I cannot figure out is how to, after removing the cursor from over a button, make the text bubble stay put so that those who see the map can highlight then copy and paste the street address from it.
I'm trying to create a flash animation similar to this one and I want my text box to appear when the mouse is Down. I've created Whitebox and Text Layer but the problem is that they only appear when I make the click then dissapear immediately. How do I make the text box stay on the screen until another button is clicked?
Making an Flex App. Just wondering if anyone has created something that fits automatically to the users' screen size and how I go about doing this? One of the principle things is that I need an background image, which is obviously going to have to scale / resize to match the users screen.
How can I make my flash Webpage displayed same size on any screen resolution of my computer? Whether it is 1024 X 768 or 1280 X 960 screen resolution, the size of Webpage (Flash Webpage) should always be same so that user don't need to use horizantal scroll bar to view all the content.
And secondly, how can I scroll my webpage vertical on moving with my mouse like in the following link: The below link also shows that it's webpage size is always same on any screen resolution.[url]...
I recently created the following webpage: One challenge I'm having is on the About and Pricing pages. Is there a way to have my text size increase depending on how big the users screen is? Doesn't need to be exact, but if I'm on my iMac the text size is quite small when full-screen.
Made a swf [URL] some viewers see and hear fine but others are having sound and size issues and I need some practical answers. SIZE: I make the Flash stage the size of the original screen capture video of 1024 x 768 and right now it is set to
I have created a movieclip with programming and added a image via xml loader. I am scaling it down using tweenlite. But it scales as if the registration point is on the top left of the image. Do you know how to change it so it scales from the center?
Each time the square is clicked it scales up a little. What must be added or changed to prevent it from moving off center from its original position, and to have it scale evenly in all directions from its own center?
I have a map of the US and each state has a rollover that changes the color of the state...what i am trying to figure out is how to click on the state and have text appear to the side of the US map and have that text stay up until the user clicks on another state.
I have an image inside a movie clip that a user can scale from its center using the slider....works great.However the use can also drag the movie clip.After the movie clip is dragged to a new location it and then scaled using the slider it jumps back to the center of the stage and then scales.I have tried modifying the x y of the movie clip but then the scale is no longer from the movie clip's center.
var clipNativeX = holder_mc.x; var clipNativeY = holder_mc.y; function scaleClip(val:int):void[code]......
What I am trying to explain/do is to take a movie and not only have it follow a guided layer, but also to have it not dissapear.So for example, I have sucessfully made a movie move around a path as I broke some letters in to symbols and created a guided layer out of them.However I don't want the move to keep dissapearing and initializing as it transverses the path.To better explain this, please check out the online example: UrL...Now instead of holding down the mouse button and having the movie of hearts just keep compounding wherever the key_pressed mouse goes to, Imagine the hearts coming to screen as the movie goes through the guided layer so as to spell out a word. Here is the minimum that I think I need and I have edited it below and tried change the "mouseX" and "mouseY" to something such as flashmo_group.X and flashmo_group.Y but the resulting effect does not follow the path.[code]
how I could setup an Image so when it loads, and I change its Z value, it doesnt keep shifting in reference to the upper left. Right now, when I change the Z value of a Sprite containing the Image, it appears to move x, y (even though I know they are not changing). I thought that by putting it inside of a sprite, and then moving the image to so that its center was at 0,0 inside the sprite, that when I changed the z value of the sprite and not of the bitmap itself, it would fix my problem, but its not.
bmp = new Sprite(); var bmp1:Bitmap; loader.contentLoaderInfo.removeEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, fileLoaded);
I am using AS2 and I'm looking for a way to scale an MC from the center meaning that the width will expand equally on both sides.For example .. If the movie clips needs to expand +10 then it would be +5 on the left and +5 on the right.So, in order to simulate the movie clip going forward the position on the left would offset -5 then scale.
basically just wondering if its possible to scale an MC about the center of the stage as opposed to the top left of the MC? I thought about setting the X & Y as stage width / 2 + MC width / 2 but cant as the user needs to be able to move the MC which is much bigger than the stage and zoom in on a point in the center rather than just the center of the MC.
