I have a legal document that I need to include in my movie, and it needs a link to popup for printing. What is the best way to do this. I converted the .doc to a pdf, and opened in AI and converted to a SWF if that helps. Isis required to use Java for this type of action?

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to make an XML driven popout menu (click a menu item to open its submenu) and have run into a snag. I haven't figured out how to "hide" elements that aren't supposed to be on the screen.The menu is constructed completely out of TextFields based on the structure of a simple XML file. I added Event Listeners to each of the TextFields but I can't figure out how to make those TextFields go away when they are not supposed to be seen.
I have tried to add each TextField onto a common DisplayObject and the use container.removeChild to remove the TextFields that shouldn't be there but I keep getting errors telling me that the target of removeChild must belong to the caller. So how do I manage the visibility of menu items based on mouse clicks in a menu?I've attached the specific AS file (SOMAMenu.as) that handles the menu if anyone finds that helpful.

I need to have an .swf running for a game. Within this .swf there will be a "Help" button, which, when clicked, needs to create a new popup window from a different .swf file. View 1 RepliesI used the tutorial to create a centered popup window as explained in the tutorial below http:[url].... , and it worked just fine in IE and Thunderbird.What i wanted to do next was to make that popup fill the entire screen, and I did that by changing the width and height values in the AS to screen.width/height, and that worked perfectly in Thunderbird, but it doesn't work in IE.
PS. The status bar at the bottom of the window stays there no matter the value I assign it in both of the browsers; why is that?

View 3 RepliesI am trying to make a print button that will print the contents of a mc...this mc basically holds a dynamically drawn floorplan which can be zoomed and panned...I want to be able to print the contents of the mc, and only what is viewable in the mc at the time of the print...so if you are zoomed in, all that prints are the actual objects visibly seen in the mc...I think it may be with the print command using bmovie but I have no idea how to assign a #b lable to the frame.

is it possible to print all the frames of a flash presentation?I don't use Flash that much, I update a flash file that was created by someone else, but now I've been asked to do a print out.Any ideas on the best way?
