I'm creating website which needs video stream from surveillance camera implemented. Camera is GeoVision GV-FD120D 1.3Mpix LowLux IR 2.7-9mm and it is linked to server which I have full access to (I dont have direct access to camera)
I was playing around with settings on this cam and I managed to turn on RTSP protocol access for this camera. Then I used VLC (on server) to open network stream with address: [URL]Works!
Ideally I would like to show the video in player like jwplayer , however it does not support RTSP protocol, but RTMP instead.
So I guess I would need some kind of software on this server to:
1) transcode the video stream from RTSP -> RTMP
2) stream it out from server so I can connect to it with jwplayer later
I heard of Wowza media server but the budget is pretty tight for this project so would rather use free solution here.
how I might get a Twitter widget working INSIDE a AS2 flash file?I found widgets on the twitter site, but, although I've seen references elsewhere to SWF widgets at twitter, right now the only thing I can find is using Javascript. (Maybe they canned all of the SWF widgets?)[I have found some AS3 stuff, but my understanding is that I can NOT load an AS3 swf into an AS2 one.]
Is there a way to load external javascript content into an object inside of the SWF? (kinda like an iFrame inside of the swf that can load the file with the javascript)
How do I embed a youtube video on my flash website (using flash cs3 AS2). I have tried importing video but after entering the url it keeps saying falied to load FLV:I'm not sure thats is the right way to do it. All tutorials on the web seem to be about HTML.
guide me through the process of embedding an audio recording widget on my site, where people can record short (~5 secs) voice clips? I have absolutely no experience with Flash but since HTML5 is not there yet, it's necessary.
I have a website with a header and navigation buttons at the top and i want to publish my wordpress on the same page so it looks like its part of the site.
This is in regards to Flash 9 (CS3). How can I embed an external .flv file into a full Flash site? I am looking for an action that can call a .flv and its components (player files) with play/stop controls. I see it's being done on this site
Im trying to embed a video from youtube into my flash site. I've looked at the other threads and the code cyan blue posted works fine however when I change the URL to my youtube URL nothing shows up.
I have an AS3 file that pulls an XML feed from a site. All the file does is display a number in a dynamic text box. On my desktop it works fine the feed is parsed in the output window and in the dynamic text box, joy! I upload the file to the CMS we are using and, no joy all I get is 'Loading' in the window. I get Loading because I input that in the tf so it wouldn't be blank.
So the question is, is there a fundamental flaw in my code or is it more likely to be the CMS? Im hoping it is the code, otherwise it is back to the drawing board.
We are writing a new social app that connects to FB using FB connect (actually, it's in Flash so we're using the FB AS3 SDK, which uses the FB Javascript API under the hood AFAIK).
When the flash app is served from our site - it works fine. But when we try to embed it in a 3rd party site (using an Iframe that points to our site) the following happens: when we try to perform a login to FB using the AS3 function Facebook.login(onLogin, opts), a small browser-based login to FB pop-up comes up, but it has the following error first
Or is it possible that FB don't support FB connect apps that are embedded in 3rd party sites?
I'm trying to embed a .flv file in my site. I encoded it from a PAL .avi using FLME CS4 at the preset values for 'FLV - web small', although I've tried a ton of different sizes, framerates, bitrates, and keyframe distances. However I do it, the video plays nice and smooth in any offline player (WMP, Adobe Media Player, VLC, RealPlayer). Then I embed it into the site with Dreamweaver and preview it in IE8, Firefox and Chrome.
Firefox and Chrome play it beautifully, and IE8 is jittery, jerky and stuttery. It's not horrendous, but it looks like it's running at 12-18 fps instead of 25, and it's noticeable, and it doesn't look natural. Once it's embedded in the HTML it plays the same whether I'm previewing it through Dreamweaver with the .flv on my PC, or I'm getting it off the internet (look for yourself at my 'test' video at [URL] make it play as smoothly in IE8 as it does in the other browsers?
I have googled for this, but they give different answers that only confuse me.Here goes: I have an .SWF MOVIE that I want to show in my html website that I created with Flash 8.I want to show this movie on a certain page (page 3). How do I embed that .swf movie into a specific part on my page?
I want to create a site that has an embedded vimeo video, how can I do that in flash? (just to clarify- i do not have the source video file, its just a video from a free video hosting site that someone else posted).
i have a flash site, and i want to call another flash file from another site. Its a magazine with the flip efect, the site is [URL], they convert your PDFs to flip flash books, i cannot do myself so i use this site, the problem is i want to put the flip book in a section of my site. [URL] gives you a embed code to put on html, but i dont know how to use it in flash, someone knows a way?
My problem is this. I want to embed an swf on my site which plays an FLV video. I do not wish to use a skin but want to create a simple roll over or mouse over which would start the video from the beginning. Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how I would do this.
I have a site with input fields to send message to people. Site will be in 5 different languages. How to embed (or not embed) fonts correctly so every language with its special characters will be displayed correctly? At the moment I don't embed the fonts - letting users system fonts to be used - this way I hope to avoid problems with displaying special characters. It works for some languages but some still don't display special characters
i have made a site in flash. stage size 955x600 i have exported it as fullscreen with no scale. the problem is that if i browse the site with a resolution of 800x600 (760x420 if i'm not wrong), the browser dont' add scrolls and its impossible to see the complete site. How can i fix this without resizing the site. i want the users to see with the proportions that i have now.. ijust want a scroll on the browser.
But there is no change in the appearance of the Text whatsoever.. I need the text to be crisp and clear.Just like the way it looks when we embed the fonts using the Embed... Button in the Flash IDE.
I was wondering if its still necessary to build a html site aswell as a Flash Site? Or is there a definitive and failsafe way to incorporate html into my flash site? SEO is a very important factor for me. I read this article: url...by Geoff Sterns in 2006, resulting in the following[code]
A client of mine has had 2 sites (both Flash sites) attacked over the last 12 months, so he's been asking: should he go for a static HTML site or stick with a Flash site? Is there ways to make a Flash site more secure?
pull some simple text from an external website's RSS feed into a basic text box in a Flash movie. It would need to be in AS2 to fit with the website. The RSS feed is on a PHP page: [URL]
I understand I need to pull the content via an xml / php page under my own domain in order to get around the Flash security, but I still can't scrape together the right code for it to work.
I made this BlogFeed.swf file. Everything works just fine in Flash IDE. It loads the XML, renders it, displays fine and that's it: the world is filled with love and data.
The problem occurs when I try to use my swf online.
Here's the scenario:
SERVER A (Altervista) hosts the swf file, trying to read the RSS Feed from... SERVER B (my client's server) serves the RSS Feed of his blog
[ things I already tryed ]
1) I wrote a crossdomain.xml file (allowing SERVER B domain to access the swf), place it at the same level of the swf file on SERVER A;
2) Set System.security.allowInsecureDomain("*") in the flash file
3) checked on both servers the server-to-server permissions (Altervista lets you do this via its own control panel; the client's server needed me to email the support: did it and they allowed me to connect)
4) moved the swf on ANOTHER server, on which I am completely sure that server-to-server communications are allowed, since I already did something like that.
Nothing changes: always getting the damn HTTPStatus = 0 and no items are shown.
What I really don't understand is why it does work from Flash IDE connecting to SERVER B and it fails (with NO IOError and HTTPStatus = 0, so no debug hints at all...) when I use it in server-to-server mode.
I've been experimenting with learning game coding and have encountered an issue I'm curious about...
At the moment I have 3 GIFs and 1 sound effect being used, with more to come. Now, is it more recommended to embed these files, which I'm been doing, or is it better to load them externally? To be honest, I really hate the idea of having to load them and would much prefer to embed them directly in to my project. What is the general consensus as to which technique is better?
setting up an RSS feed into my flash site. I've been trying to work with the code below, but when it displays the code includes all the HTML code of the RSS feed (ie image and link tags). I'd also like it to scroll.
Code (AS2):
Code: // create a new XML object var feed:XML = new XML();
I've created this code for an RSS Feed Widget I would like to post on a site. the Widget will pull info from various sites. The code is built on Adobe CS4. When testing I don not get any errors, however, it does not display any information either. Code: var widget //Widget; var rss; var textfield:TextField; addEventListener("widget-loaded",onWidgetLoaded); function onWidgetResize( evt:Event ):void [Code] .....
I'm trying to parse a RSS which comes from a page to Flash. But Im having some trouble, I wonder if someone could with some input/hits/tips whatever to take out links to picture, texts and attributes from the RSS so I can make flash with dynamic pictures. I found two components but I cant make them work.[URL] Also this tutorial but it seems confusing. I can get on with some articles, tutorials or something.?[URL]
