Feb 21, 2008I am currently work on a quote generator for a tax company that is done in flash. The site is basically an online form that i have created. I am quite q newbie to flash.Now the problem is that I have lots and lots of checkboxes, all in various movie clips on different levels of the movie.I have given each checkbox its on unique instance name What I wanna know now is what is the best or actually just any way for me to at the end of the movie, check if each checkbox is selected or not and send those values via email (true or false values). I have already made function in PHP.

Aug 11, 2009I wanted to put a checkbox in one of the column of the datagrid. I tried using the cell renderer and could get a column with check box. But the problem is I want the datagrid for touchscreen and it should have multi selection enabled. As I select one check box the previously check box gets cleared. Pressing down the ctrl key do the job but in touchScreen that cannot be done. I read some posts in google where it was said that generating false CTRL press event. I have attached the cellrenderer for the checkbox that I have used.

Flex :: Checkbox On SQL Query In DataGrid?
Oct 20, 2009[URL]I have a checkbox renderer i am placing into my Datagrid. The checkbox needs to do a sql query on the sqllite database and see if the show is marked as watched, if it is then make the checkbox as checked and if not mark the checkbox and not checked.
What i would like to do further to this is add the watched items to one XMLList and add the not watched episodes to a different XMLList and have the checkbox on click= move from one to the other list as per watched or not.

Apr 15, 2012Context: I have a data grid where the following has been implemented. tabbing through each column in a single row and creating a new row when tabbing from the last column. The last column in my datagrid is now a checkbox. I set the 'editable' to false as shown below (since we don't want editable text to be shown when user clicks on/tabs to checkbox.
Problem: When I tab through the columns of a given row, I cannot tab to the checkbox column and therefore cannot use the space bar to toggle between checked/unchecked. The user is forced to use the mouse to toggle the check box. Question: How do I let user tab to the checkbox column, and press spacebar to toggle between checked and unchecked?

My challenge is this: How do I make it possible to check more than one box/service at a time? As it is now, when you check box/service no. 2, the first one checked goes back to inactive. Jun 29, 2009I have a movie clip which has onRelease, onRollOver and on onRollOut functions associated with it. Within that movieclip I also have a checkbox, but the checkbox does not check when I click on it. When i disable the "on" functions, the checkbox is then working as normal.
Is there a way I could have the "on" functions and the checkbox working simultaniously?

Jan 5, 2010I have a datagrid with 5 columns. The first column has checkboxs and rest four columns have data from the dataProvider.
I have two relating issues: First: I want the row to get selected when I click on a checkbox, or if i click on multiple checkboxes, every row should stay selected in the datagrid for whose checkbox is selected.
Second: If a row or multiple rows are selected, the corresponding checkbox should get selected too.
My code is given below:

May 21, 2010I have a small flex datagrid. The dataProvider is an xmlList. I have two columns, userList and user permissions. The user permissions column as checkboxes. The values for the checkbox are stored as 0 and 1 in mySQL. While returning it from PHP, I am converting them to true or false. Its returning the values correctly to the frontend.
But inside the itemrenderer, the checkbox is not being set to true or false.
Either everything is true or everything is false.

Mar 3, 2011I receive my parameters as 1's or 0's to fill a datagrid full of checkboxes. The funny bit here is that the checkbox control recognizes them as booleans! But then my checkbox control has a change property in which these numbers are converted to "true" or "false".How can I convert this changes to ones and zeroes again to send them back to database?I believed the ByteArray function "writeAsBoolean" would work, but I forgot the rest of the values inside the datagrid are kept as numbers. So that function will not recognize them and my webservice will ignore them, failing to write the data.
