Is it possible to login through flash using one Dynamic Text Field and one Input Text Field and no buttons? If so how? I have seen many tutorials dealing with logging in to PHP using flash but it requires you to make your own php scripts which i am not familiar with. Can some one tell me how to do this with PHPBBs existing php scripts... I can make this happen, but the problem is that the dinamic field shows its new text in the same format as the Input field. For example, the input text is written in TimesNewRoman and the dinamic text is in Arial, but when the dinamic text shows the input, the text is still in TimesNewRoman when I want it to be in Arial.

I am creating a form, and I would like to have a highlight around the input text box when the users is focused on that textfield.
i have a highlight movieclip(just a rectangle outline that is a movieclip).
How would i go about placing the highlight mc around the text box? would i use focus_In eventListeners? and call a function that can outline a box that is the input text background?

I've been looking everywhere and I can't figure this out. I want an empty text entry box, where you type in a word and hit enter. When you hit enter, it adds this word to an array. The array shouldn't have a limit of the number of words allowed.

I would like to input a numerical value into a dynamic text field using a button. The numerical values is one, the button is called a1_btn The dynamic input text field is called results_txt This is the code I am using. Even though it shows no script errors, clicking on the button doesn't input the number on the dynamic text field.

I am facing a problem with loading dynamic data through XML in Flash. I have 09 text fields which are taking data from XML file and if for example there are 05 News then rest of 04 input boxes displays "Undefined" in Flash at the front side. I am using following code which gives me Undefined error:

I am trying to make a bar graph that tweens to the height, or decrease, according to the number defined in the Dynamic text box. I would like to use the tween class from MX for a nice bounce effect. Here is my code:

ICC1 is the dynamic text field that displays a number from a formula through a couple input boxes. ICcost is the name of the MC I want tweened.
As I have it now it doesnt tween, the height just goes to the ICC1 number which is ok for now. Is there a way to set the tween to happen when flash registers a change in the number?
I want to be able to have these numbers read, and then it goes to the specific frame, if I change Event.ENTER_FRAME it works, but then it is always looking for the rfidread function.

I'm trying to pass text from an input text in frame 1 to a dynamic text field in frame 10. Thus when the user enters text and clicks the submit button it takes them to frame 10 and shows them what they typed. It's not working but I'm not getting any errors. Here's the link:

I'm making a calculator using Flash MX that works the same way as the basic calculator found on windows (not the scientific one). But having the user input a number, store it as a variable, store which function the user wants to perform and clear the text field then store the new input in the same text field as a different variable and multiply or add or divide or subtract the 2 numbers and getting the equals sign to display the answer when clicked is harder than I thought it would be.

Does anyone know of a component other than Text2Curve that is available? View 1 RepliesI have created an organizational chart for the company I work for displaying all current employees. Each contact is shown as a button that displays a 'popup' window on rollover. All of this works perfectly. What I want is to create an option to click on each button and the individuals email address be added to a dynamic text field at the bottom of the page.
Just to clarify, I am able to have text entered into the text field on each click, however, clicking on the next button removes the previous text. I want each click to create a new entry in a list. For example: "contact1; contact2; contact3;" etc etc. The end result would be for the user to copy all text (email addresses) from the dynamic text box and paste it into their Outlook "To" section.
is there a way to make it so when you are done putting something into an input field it will automaticly add/subtract from a dynamic field.Dynamic1 + Input = Dynamic2where each time you change the input text it will readd dynamic1 and input show it on dynamic2

View 1 RepliesI'm creating an XML-driven pie chart in AS3 with 2 text boxes in each pie slice. Both text fields are dynamic in the sense that they are populated by the XML doc and then told where to place themselves in the AS3. I've got them both using the same x and y position to place themselves at the moment (which of course puts them right one top of each other), but I'd like to make one of the fields (which acts like a label or a title to the larger number and % text field) place itself in a particular spot around the other text field. The result I'm looking for is to have the smaller "title" text field appear approximately 5 pixels above and left-justified to the larger "percentage" field.
Anyway, here are two sections of code that I've currently got. The first chunk, for the Tags portion, sets the position for the "percentage" text field using a good old x and y method. The second chunk, for Titles, is setting the position for the smaller "title" text.

Is there a way to pass the textfield A text to a dynamic text input (flash) as I'd like to use the font embedding flash offers. I can make it work when loading a value from a txt file but I'm not sure how to access the value identified above as KitGroupID_16_TextOption_38 and make it appear in a dynamic input box. Eventually I might want to have 3 font choices for the user but I'd like to just see if I can get this working properly first.

the last of many problems, is that at the very end of the test, you're shown your score, and you have the option to type your name in a text box and click "save". Doing so will apply you score data (time elapsed, date, correct answers and percentage) along with the name you typed in, and output in a form, that you can save or print off, or whatever. The problem is, the input text box will not let you type in it. If you mouse over it, the mouse stays a pointer, you don't get the text tool. If you click on it, the cursor appears for a split second after you release the mouse button, but you cannot type anything in it.This is the actionscript for the output form:
