I have been trying to find recources on loading a .swf into a sepearte one.for instance:I will have an HTML layout with multiple flash movies. I know I can load movie into the .swf that the button is in.my question is. can I have the navigazion on the left side of the screen communicate with another random .swf to load the additional content?

Each record contains the same swf file however, each swf file points to a different mp3 for previews of different audio examples. So far, everything is working fine. My problem is that I need to be able to stop the sound from one swf when I click to play a second swf .The only solutions I see in Flash forums deal with loaded swf files. These are not loaded files they are separate files within a page. View 3 RepliesI am working on a flash piece that is composed of one master swf that has five options/sections within it. Each option loads two separate swfs that operate at the same time. Within those swfs are url links which open in the same window, replacing the page with the flash piece on it. Is it possible to link back from the opened url in a way that will go to the frame in the main swf's timeline that will reload the relevant swfs?
I had suggested just targeting a _blank window but the person I am attempting this for doesn't want that.
I am aware that I can share simple Objects using LocalConnection, but this does not (in my limited testing) appear to work with NetConnection or NetStream.
In short, I wish to have a single SWF that acts as a NetConnection proxy for other SWF files in the HTML page. The client SWFs require direct access to NetStream objects on the proxys NetConnection.
Is this at all feasible, or will each client SWF require its own NetConnection?
I am aware that I could build the entire application in flash and utilize a single NetConnection internally, but this is NOT what I want to do.
This may be straight forward however I'm still new to AS and flash so am unsure of how to go about it. All I want is on the release of a button for an SWF to load into a separate static page rather than loading into a Container on the _root. How is this done with AS?
View 2 RepliesI have created a small image gallery for use in a CBT Program.What I am looking to do is, each image in the slide when clicked needs to go to a separate html page.I currently have it working as far as being able to execute a single External Call to go to a HTML Page, but it is working for the entire gallery not individual pictures.I am thinking of separating the way the MC are loading into the container, then tying External Calls Specific to the individual clips.

This is NOT the same as my last thread as i am after three and NOT ONE as last time. In the attached movie there are three seperate movies loading into three seperate tweens. Please note that i am happy with this movie as it is, and do not want to change anything about it except for the script itself. It refurs to three seperate clips "b.a","d.c" and "f.e". What i want is for the script to incorperate all three clips under one name of "mc" And instead of have three seperate widths, "width 1","width2" and "width3" i want the script to also incorperate all three widths and heights into just one name of "width" and one name of "height".

I have a source file (test.fla) in the file i have a symbol called "vrviewer". I am trying to load an HTML page inside the viewer (vrviewer). The html page loads 28.ivp using the supplied ivp player called "pureplayer.swf" (this is called out in HTML (28.html). I would much rather load the ivp file right into flash (if i could) but do not know how to even begin doing that. I tried using the geturl function to call the html file into "vrviewer", but that did not work.
There is an event class called IVPEVENT in cs3 but im not sure if i can load my ivp file using just the class

I have a html paga which loads a flash(flex) swf file. Using https it loads successfully with Chrome, Safari and Firefox, but not with Internet Explorer.Another page, a simple aspx page, does load in Internet Explorer using https (and no flash in it).Haven't found anything so far on the internet to solve this... So, apparently, Flash Player is running inside my html page, the swf is loaded over the internet but the swf is not displayed in internet explorer browser... Very strange. How can I debug this further to see what the problem is?Meanwhile, in the left down corner, IE keeps on saying: 'Waiting for https://....In all other browsers it works like a charm.You can see that IE shows a Certificate Error, but that's also the case in other browsers. I already clicked on Certificate Error to install the Certificate, but with no success.
Alright, I wanna know how toave a transition animation play when the user moves to another section in a Flash site.Would it be possible to make the entire timeline of a loaded movieclips play backwards to the 1st frame before it is unloaded and the next section is loaded in? or is there some more advanced AS involved in having an outro transition?

I have a flash header for an html site that is about a megabyte and obviously needs a preloader. Unfortunately it won't work to have the preloader loading at the top while the rest of the html below is visible — it will end up looking like the top navigation is cut off, as the top 10 pixels of the nav bar is actually in the swf header (fully loaded it will look contiguous)Is there a way to preload it in one html page and then once it's loaded into the cache automatically jump to the page with the big swf?

View 2 RepliesI have a site where all the pages have a common SWF embedded at the top (Nav and banner), but the rest of the page is HTML.Everything is working fine, but I'm finding the 'independence' between the HTML and Flash is making for some sloppy transitions from page to page.I was expecting the SWF to be delayed, at least for the first page visit(and I have a preload routine inside the swf to make it's delay and appearance a bit more visually pleasant), but was surprised to sometimes find the SWF appearing and playing while the HTML content was delayed (resulting in a SWF floating in black).What I'm wondering is if there's a way I can do some sort of preload on my index page.BUT, not the standard one that I'm sure everyone would suggest (like the javascript image 'preload', or the newer 'css visibility' preload trick). The problem with the standard one is that it doesn't check to see if everything is loaded.What I'm after is a routine on my index page that invisibly loads some of the elements from my inner pages (common swf, maybe some of the images) and WAITS until it's done before moving to the inner pages (displaying the company logo and/or a load status in the meantime).Many people would suggest a preloader inside the common SWF on my inner pages (which I have), but the problem with that on its own is that it doesn't stop the HTML from displaying.

when you go to the home.html page an animation will play from start and then stop at the end of it. However, for all other pages i.e contact.html aboutus.html we need the animation to skip to the end straight away and not to play the whole animation through. I was thinking this would be controlled by a variable or some kind of external text file ect. Basically in the first frame the actionscript needs to basically say
"if this html page is aboutus.html then go to the last frame and stop" and with the index page it would say "if this html page is index.html then keep playing"
