ActionScript 3.0 :: Cannot Access Flashvars Inside Loaded SWF

Here's what i am trying to do. I have an AS3 swf which loads and external AS2 swf. Inside the AS2 swf i have the following code which fetches the flashvars passed through html.
flashpar.text = "Params: " + _level0.name;
When i run the AS2 SWF independently passing the param through HTML. It works fine.
But when i load the AS2 swf inside AS3 swf. It is not able to fetch the flashvars, which is strange cz if i load the AS2 SWF inside another AS2 swf it works fine.
how should i fetch the flashvars inside the loaded AS2 SWF.

Game.swf, which needs to access FlashVars from Game.html... easily done withLoaderInfo(this.root.loaderInfo).parameters;It turns out that Game.swf is heavy enough to require a preloader. The onlyeffective way of doing that in AS3 is to loadGame.swf intoPreloader.swf, which is embedded in Preloader.html.The question is, where do the FlashVars go (in Preloader.html??), and how can Game.swf access those variables? I have two swf, one loads the other using a Loader class, in the loaded swf I have a NetConnection object which I need to access from the host swf, but I can't, if I debug the app, I see the obejct is there, but I can't access it, if I try to set a variable likeloadedSWF = connectorLoader.content (connectorLoader is the Loader object)loadedSWF is always nullIf I debig the app, I see the NetConnection in the loaded SWF, but I can't have access to it, I have try to use Security.allowDomain("*") in both swf to be sure, but nothing, I thought that only doing the allowDomain method I will have access to the loaded SWF objects

Is there a way to call a function inside a loaded SWF file?
Basically, I have a .swf file (A) that loads another .swf file (B)...I would just like to treat B as if it was any other instance added to my class .swf "A"...
Have to recast "Loader" with the name of your .swf file class:

So I am loading an SWF like this:

It will compile but I get a "Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference." So I am not targeting right. I did double check my instance name is correct and in the root of the loaded SWF

I am in the process of building a site for an Architect... Jamie Fobert Architects (projects) I am useing transitions between the projects and am loading details/text and images externally through flashvars, php and a mySQL database. Within my transitions I have a a preloader on the forst 2 frames the code is as follows (taken from a Voetsjoeba tutorial):

This works pretty well if the content is within the .swf, but when it is loaded externally it doesnt preload it at all. Does anyone know how I can adapt/improve this preloader? or somehow ensure that all the content being loaded externally is loaded before the transition plays?

Edit: I've come to realize the main problem I'm facing is that I want a text field that already exists in a movieclip or on the stage to take the string from a flashvar. For some reason it will not do that. How do I make a pre-existing text field change to match the flashvar text?

I have a A.swf which loads B.swf onto a movieclip and needs to pass it some FlashVars. When loading B.swf with html, I can pass FlashVars fine. When passing from A.swf, it gets a

I have a flash mp3 player that loads its info from an xml file and it works great. Im trying to load this same player onto another website and have changed the domains, xml info, etc to load new songs. I want to have this swf be integrated into a larger site and not just loaded at the bottom of an html page. Heres the player working: [URL] On the new site, I have a target movieclip named mp3player and is the same dimensions as the loaded swf is supposed to be. On frame 1, I have a loadmovie() and then a loadVariables() and I have copied/pasted the flashvars from the working html page into the loadVariables(). The site is loading the swf, but not seeing the flashvars. The swf is loading way zoomed in on the image that is supposed to be 120 120

Using php to declare a few Flashvars. No problems - they all arrive and behave. One of these populates a dynamic text field inside an MC. Simple enough stuff right? But.... when I try to test equality on that text field I get nothing. I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of. The MC is called "fake2". The text field inside it has a variable name of "choice_dyna" and an instance name of "fd2".

how I can access the coordinates of an mc, but its coordinates with respect to the stage.
What I am doing is using a dragging function, but while the mouse is moving I am also trying to trace the position of the mc itself with respect to its position on the stage, but it seems to keep giving me very small numbers, almost like numbers with respect to its original position. I am not sure yet though why this is. Here is my code:

I'm learning a lot by reading the questions and answers that are asked in the Forum. Now it is my turn to ask a question that is probably a rookie, but I have spend 3 days breaking my head to try to find a solution and have not found it yet.
I am trying that the program responds to each click of the player in a box that is white and turns red, with a random click in another box. Something similar to Tic Tac Toe.
My problem is that I can't make te program to access the boxes in the array by programming. When I try the program to access the box with p.ex.: "this.newBox.boxplus30.gotoAndStop (2);" I always get the error "object null or undefined". I have tried everything you can imagine to formulate that line of code, but without success.[code]...

I am learning how to create menu systems for a game and have a few different "screens" (movieclips with buttons and such).
I am getting Undefined Property errors when I try to access a button from the class file of a screen.
Example: I have a MainMenu screen. This has its own class MainMenu.as.
Inside the library MainMenu movieclip, I have a button, instance named start_button.
But inside the MainMenu.as file, I try to do start_button.addEventListener(...) and it says undefined property. I tried doing getChildByName("start_button"), that won't work either.

I create a new Ball movieclip and sets the Uid property:

From outside the movieclip i can access the property value by trace(ball_mc.uID);, but what if i what to reach the value inside the movieclip itself? trace(uID); or trace(ball_mc.uID); dosent seem to work.
