I have successfully embedded the swf in a web page but when I play the video from the web page the quaility is significantly degraded. Unfortunately I have no control over the internals of the swf so what I would prefer to do is to embed the mp4 rather than the swf. I understand Adobe Flash Player supports mp4 since version 9, but I haven't been able to figure out the html to make this happen. Here is the code I am currently using with the swf.[code]...

Nov 8, 2010I just updated to CS5 - I'm working on a custom video player. It works fine embedded in a web page both locally and on the network. It works fine in the debug player. However, when I test it in the authoring player I get a NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound error and no video. I have tried setting the Local Playback Security publish settings to both local and network - doesn't find the video either way.
It used to run fine in CS4 in the authoring environment.

Mar 9, 2011Ive imported an FLV into a Project. Some computers wont play the video back if the Flash Player is set to Full Screen. The screen goes black during Full Screen. If you set the player to regular, you can see the video playing (embedded into design) but once you set player to Full Screen the video plays on its own right at centre of screen. Im working on a Touch Screen Display that has the display set to Portrait mode. Im investigating if the display card is causing the problem.

When I upload all the files online, nothing shows up. When I right click on the live webpage where the file should be playing it sees the swf, it's just playing and/or displaying anything.

Dec 18, 2010I have successfully set up a media server and used media encoder to stream my desktop to the server. Then I used Flash CS5 to create a actionscript, adding the source url and published the swf, skin and html files. This swf/html can work locally with skin without problem.
Then I uploaded these 3 files to my apache server. After that I try embedding the streaming video into a forum post. I used the forum's BBcode [flash] to insert the swf file with full path into the post.Though the video can be played, but there is no skin.The forum also supports html code. What codes to I need to embed the video with functional skin?

Aug 3, 2010I have two mp4 video files on webserver, i wanted to play them in flash player(flv player) on my asp.net page, but i couldn't be able to play them, i also tried to play them in quick time player the same prob occured. but i waz giving the accurate path, there were no spaces in mp4 file names etc. Does it need to have mp4 player(or codec etc) installed on webserver?
I have also some wmv files on that server , and i am playing perfectly using silver light player, and media player object on my website.

Apr 3, 2009I am trying to find a way to embed a live video stream on a webpage accessible via the internet. I have my video server setup so that multicast streaming over my LAN works. The only problem I face now is figuring out how to embed the live video object into my webpage. I am wondering if I could use a converter like ffmpeg and flex to accomplish this? Feb 19, 2010Setup: an online tv channel with "youtube" like clips and categories our own flash video player which can be embeded into other remote sites as2 flash player Goal: To track who's embeding my videos, at least with basic statistics per domain.
Since it's AS2, it's harder to do this. My ideea is that I can create a php page which should be opened each time the player loads on any website; than the flash player can do a "geturl" of the php file which has Google Analytics code or some other decent tracker.
The geturl command could contain a variable like the Video Title which already is included in the player; and this title would pass on with GET to the php file and setup a dynamic page title which can be tracked very well. Problem: how to i use the GETURL function without have user's browser open a new tab or window. Is there any hidden way to do it?
Professional :: Flash Player 10.3.1832.5 Causing Webpage To Blank?
Aug 22, 2011Since recent versions of Flash have come out (perhaps the last few weeks), when loading up the website, [URL] , the flash loading bars show, various SWF files in their layer appear, but then when loading completes, the web page goes blank (usually black, sometimes white).
This occurs on Windoes 7 (64), Vista and XP. It occurs in IE9, IE8, and various Firefox browers. So, I am comfortable believing that it is a recent Flash player issue.
The HTML page loads a file "back.swf" which in turn loads "menu_eo.swf" in level 10 and "intro_eo.swf" into level 5.
What it looks like is that when the intro page finished loading and moves to the correct frame, the screen goes blank.
My clients rarely update their Flash Player, but I asked them to do so this morning. They had the same problem in all those other browser and operating system after updating to Flash Player 10.3.1832.5.

Feb 3, 2011I am having a problem getting my flash file to work on my webpages. I first converted the original .avi to a .flv format,then I imported the.flv into flash. It has a skin because I wanted the users to be able to stop and pause the video. When I test the file outside of the web page it works fine. The skin file, the .flv and the .swf are all in the same folder. But when i Upload the webpage , the flash does not play online. If i preview in design mode, the flash file plays. Although with out the skin. Now if i open the flash file outside of the webdesign software it opens in a web browser and all works.

For exemple in a ByteArray format so I can save it to local disk... With the NetStream and NetConnection I can play the video without problem, but I can't find a way to access the data. using the URLStream, I can download the video file [URL], and I can access the data I want but I can't play it?
Is there a way to play the URLStream, or to get data from the NetStream?

Flash :: Video Will Not Play In JW Player On Android?
Nov 8, 2011I cannot get JW Player to play anything on an Android device (real or emulated). In fact, even the default video and default setup that comes packaged in the JW Player download will not play! I've tried re-encoding the video... nope. I've tried prioritizing the HTML5 player over the Flash player... nope. I keep getting the error:
Cannot play video
Sorry, this video cannot be played.
Worth noting, it works fine on the web and in an iPhone.
UPDATE: Here's an example of the unmodified default player directly from the JW Player download: [URL]. Try it on your Android...
