I have a little test swf to test calling an ActionScript(3.0) function from JavaScript. I am using the Flash documentation as a reference:

I get following error: Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: [URL] cannot load data from 192.168.3.5:4854. at TicTacToe_fla::MainTimeline/TicTacToe_fla::frame1() ". I tryed to solve this problem about 3 hours, but I failed I have the file crossdomain.xml in the same folder like my .swf file on the server with this content:
[Code]...
I'm having trouble with an AS3 AMF RemoteObject request that is hosted on App Engine. I have a crossdomain.xml file in the root of the domain, and also one at the remoting endpoint.Here are the contents of the root crossdomain.xml:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<cross-domain-policy>
<site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies ="all"/>[code].....
Loading the swf file and testing it on my machine works just fine... I think that may have something to do with me having the debugger version of Flash Player. When I push it up to App Engine to make it public, other clients access it and get a Client.Error.MessageSend Channel.Security.Error error Error #2048 url: http:[url].......I am using Flex 4 beta, and the App Engine Python runtime. I have tried full wildcard in the crossdomain, and even accessing the data endpoint at a relative URL so as to avoid this error.
why this is not working.I have an application with a new class I just created. The class loads, but will not call it's own internal function.
package com.parkerandkent.components.classic.photogallery {
import caurina.transitions.Tweener;
import flash.display.MovieClip;[code]....
"Test 2" will not fire here.And I get this error message:
CallTag.as , Line 10 1180: Call to a possibly undefined method init.
var speed:int = 4;
addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,MoveRight);
function MoveRight(event:Event):void{
[code]......
I am getting a strange problem while I am making my release build swf.The swf is supposed to make some internal server calls and then display the data and also play it.When I make a release build swf and excute it, while making server calls it throws exceptions likeSecurityErrorHandler: [SecurityErrorEvent type="securityError" bubbles=falsecancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2170: Security sandbox violation:file:///Path to the swf/WebPlayer.swf cannot send HTTP headers to **Method Name to bring data from the server***]And after this nothing can be done as everything depends on the data from the server..I have updated my cross-domain.xml on the server to support the master-only policy file but that also didnt ..My cross-domain.xml is
<cross-domain-policy>
<site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="master-only"/>
<allow-access-from domain="*"/>
[code]......
I mixed a.com and b.com in my original post, I'll try to rephrase stuff correctly:
A HTML page is loaded from a.com
The HTML embeds a Flash client from b.com
HTML contains a Javascript function that makes a connection to a.com, ie the origin of the HTML, not the origin of Flash
The Flash calls that Javascript function
Question: Do I need to have a crossdomain.xml in a.com?
Why am i getting this error, when tweenBtnOne is a function call?All my code is on frame one.ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable tweenBtnOne is not defined.
Code:
import fl.transitions.Tween;
import fl.transitions.easing.*;
[code]........
I am trying to access instagrams API with FLash, I keep getting a "Security sandbox violation: cannot load data from https:[url]....? client_id=...etc" but it works in the IDE. It is loading the cross domain policy file from https:[url]....and I have security allow [url]........ in the swf.
View 1 RepliesI need to get a javascript var in my Flash application. I like to be able to just set a variable in the javascript (client constraints) rather than define a function.
Can this be done? I am trying to use the ExternalInterface.call()
AS:
ExternalInterface.call("function(){return window.someVar}", null);
JS:
var someVar = "Test";
This does not work and I suspect it is because the ExternalInterface.call() does not like the anonymous function.
I have a function defined in JavaScript like so:
function fadeBack() {
alert("fadeBack called");
};
I call that function from my Flash file like so:
import flash.external.*;
flash.external.ExternalInterface.call("fadeBack");
This works in both Safari and Chrome, but for some reason Firefox won't ever call the function. Still, I can't figure this out. How can I fix it?
I have an mxml project with one button which browses for files and then uploads them. It seems that when i select a file lower then 200kb it passes ok but when the file is bigger it throws SecurityError: Error #2000: No active security context. Where is these restrictions set for size limit?

while running my flash application i get the below error

Any one come across this situation where users of a cd-rom gets security problems when for example click on pdf button to view in separate window.
View 3 RepliesWe're producing a desktop application that includes html and swf in AS3. We get the following error: Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. The following local application on your computer or network: C:UsersDave%20ZelenkaDesktopworld-source...world.swf is trying to communicate with this Internet-enabled location: C:UsersDave ZelenkaDesktopworld-sourcesample-htmlsample.html To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings. You must restart the applcation after changing your settings.
So, I know how to resolve this by clicking the settings. But our users won't want to do that. What doesn't make sense is that the swf file isn't pulling anything from the Internet. The world.swf file shouldn't be communicating with sample.html, and not only that, they are located in the same folder.

I have built a FB4 application which accesses a .NET web service of a partner company. The app runs just fine in FB4 development environment, but won't work when published to my server. I can not figure out how to get past the following error: Security error accessing url Destination: DefaultHTTP It is unlikely that I will get a crossdomain.xml file on their server, so I'm trying to get it to work using a proxy. The proxy.php is located in the same directory as the swf, and it works just fine if I use it directly in the browser.
The following is what I currently have setup:
proxy.php:
<?php
$session = curl_init(trim(urldecode($_GET['url']))); // Open the Curl session
curl_setopt($session, CURLOPT_HEADER, false); // Don't return HTTP headers
curl_setopt($session, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true); // Do return the contents of the call

we have an internal webservice developed in our company and i have connected that web service using flex and am able to get all the methods/operations from that service. but wen i try to get data from methods i get the following error msg while running the applicationSecurity error accessing urlUnable to load WSDL. If currently online, verify the URI and/or format of the WSDL (http://ispl30:8080/MGEMWS/MGEMWS?wsdl)am not able to figure out what the problem is?
View 1 RepliesI am trying to use a browser to debug my flash app as it needs External Interface. But whenever I try to attach the Flex Debugger to the browser running Flash app, it shows
SecurityError: Error #2000: No active security context.
I already checked the other question with same title as my error but changing code is not the solution here as it is an existing code and I don't get this error while using a debug version or when I am not running connected to a debugger.
Possible Duplicate:Error 2000 in flash SecurityError: Error #2000: No active securitycontextand nothing else; no other errors or traces, just that message in my debug flash player. Now the code I have inherited for this project is huge so I have no idea where the issue could be. I already knocked out a few security issues by embedding my xml and css during compile, and I've reached a dead end.I do load swfs dynamically but everything is local to the main swf. Now I should point out that the customer is loading the swf by simply putting the address of it on a file server into their browser (its not in a web page - yes I know this is bad practice but its what they want).
View 1 RepliesI use UrlLoader.load() in my flash app. And I'm handling UncaughtErrorEvent.UNCAUGHT_ERROR to stop the app when an uncaught exception occured. UrlLoader.load() works when you are connecting the internet normally. But if the connection to the internet was lost after your browser loaded the app, SecurityError happens when UrlLoader.load() is called. I can not catch the SecurityError by using try catch and UNCAUGHT_ERROR happens and it stops my app. I don't want to stop the app when UrlLoader.load() failed because I'm just using UrlLoader.load() to log some unimportant information.
And I think timeout error also can be ocurred if it takes a long time to load. And I also don't want to stop my app due to the time out error. How can I solve those problems? And are there more other type of errors which can be ocurred and stop my app?
I have an application that connects to a binary socket server running on port 2234. I use the python policy file server, which I downloaded from [URL], which runs on port 843. If the client app is trying to connect to a socket I can see that the server is receivng the request for a policy file and that it sends it to the client. However, in the client, I get a security sandbox error. How is this possible? And is it possible to check whether the client really received the policy file? BTW, here is my policy file:
<?xml version="1.0"?><!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd"><cross-domain-policy><allow-access-from domain="*" to-ports="*" /></cross-domain-policy>
I have created a crosdomain policy file, I have added code to my flex app, and I still get security sandbox violation...have I done something wrong? Here are my errors and file snippets:
Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: http://mysite.com/folder1/folder2/media/swf_demo.swf cannot load data from http://mysite.com/folder1/folder2/media/locXML.xml.
swf_demo.swf is my flex application
The following lines have been added to my flex application:
Security.allowDomain("mysite.com");
Security.allowDomain("www.mysite.com");
Security.allowDomain("http://mysite.com/folder1/folder2/media/locXML.xml");[code]..
When i am running my file locally it runs well but when it runs from a server, it throws an error
[Code]...
I googled a lot. I found a solution of cross domain policy funda but i am not clear with it. Anybody has ideas of getting rid of this problem..?
i'm trying to integrate with a plain http service which has both http/https flavors available for consumption. sadly they never thought of a flash client consuming these services and it will take another 6 months to roll a crossdomain xml policy file on their service (there security team has to approve the process, pm team has to include it in their roadmap and blah blah). i've already implemented the flash client which works fine from a flash ide security sandbox. is it possible to get around this crossdomain policy requirement.
my flash file will always be hosted as [URL] and i will be communicating with [URL]. i'm saying [URL] because they do some loadbalancing at the backend and allocate random servers on connection (which is fine from their server side design perspective). I tried putting following two lines in the constructor of my movie clip, but couldn't pass through the security sandbox error:
I have two Flash files: pre-loader and application.
Pre-loader: (D:ProjectsFlashAppsddedd.fla) is doing basically this:
var mRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://localhost/flash/dd.swf");
mLoader.load(mRequest);
}
Application file: (D:ProjectsFlashAppsdddd.fla) is the real application and among other things is doing this:
_loader.load(_request); //where _request = "assets/html/style.css".
When debugging the pre-loader, at this point I am getting an error which says:
SecurityError: Error #2148 File SWF http://localhost/flash/dd.swf cannot access local resource file:///D|/Projects/FlashApps/dd/assets/html/style.css.
The application must be loaded by the pre-loader, it won't start when called directly. But apparently, the security settings are preventing such duo from being possible to debug. Normally when it is on a remote server, it is working ok.
What I have done so far to resolve it:
Added crossdomain.xml to my local i:xampphtdocs folder:
> <?xml version="1.0"?>
> <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
[Code]....
Set File > Publish Settings -> Local Playback Security -> "Use local files only" in both files. It didn't work, so I set it to "Use network only" Also didn't work.
What else can be done to be able to debug these Flash files locally?
I tried to deploy my otherwise working flex app on a web server (tomcat 6).It threw a Channel.Security.Error.After some research, I became aware that flash movie loaded from flash_movie_domain will not be able to load resource from any other domain.Some suggested adding a crossdomain.xml.However, the crossdomain.xml route doesn't quite make sense.In this case, I am loading resources from a third party web site.My understanding is that I need this third party website to include a crossdomain.xml on their root directory in order for app to function.The third party web service is provided as is. I will not be able to change what's given. Since the third party is providing public access, it already explicitly give permission to the general public. Adding a crossdomain.xml to their root seems to be a redundant act?
View 1 RepliesI am trying to load a swf file which contains xml based image gallery on 25th frame of the timeline inside flash professional cs5.5 using actionscript 3. while doing so i'm getting this error "SecurityError: Error #2000: No active security context". Below is the as3 code:
stop();
import flash.net.URLRequest;
import flash.display.Loader;[code]........
I have a Flex and Java application and i am using BlazeDS between flex and java. Generally my application works fine. I observed when ever i try fetch data little faster(not giving gap between two fetch commands) then i am getting the error "Server error :faultCode:Channel.Call.Failed faultString:'error' faultDetail:'NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed'"
I guess when ever load is increasing on BlazeDs, i am getting the error. I am calling the java service using following code
[Code]...
I'm using this code to call a actionscript 3 function through javascript
[URL}
and I want to call the acrionscript 3 function from a javascript function, but not on a button action.
actionscript code:
//call to javascript
ExternalInterface.call("sendToJavaScript");
//call from javascript
[Code]....
So I have an AS3 audio player which receives commands from Javascript.I have a function in the flash file called 'set_song', which sets the URL for the song to be played. The first time I call it using something like
Code:
document.getElementById('audio_player').set_song(response.url);
(response.url being the URL response from an AJAX call) it works fine and all the other functions on the player work fine but if I then run the same function a second time I get the "Error calling method on NPObject!" error in Firebug. I googled this and it said it was something to do with permissions but;
The site is at dftba[dot]com
The flash file is at dftba[dot]com
The javascript files are at [1/4][dot]cdns[dot]dftba[dot]com
The audio files are at vox[dot]dftba[dot]com
And I have
Code:
Security.allowDomain("dftba[dot]com");
Security.allowDomain("www[dot]dftba[dot]com");
Security.allowDomain("new[dot]dftba[dot]com");
[code]...
