Adobe Flash Cs4 : Xml Parsing Fatal Error Invalid Document Structure Line 1 File?
Aug 26, 2009I got a problem with adobe flash cs4 : I can't launch it normaly and its says that a fatal error has occured.. I really don't know what I must do.. Please, help me.... I've just lost like 3 or 4 files of adobe by trying to reinstall it.

In some function, I have:
var xmlList:XMLList = new XMLList();
xmlList = receivedXML.some.attributes.here;
object.functionDoStuff = xmlList;
The function functionDoStuff takes xmlList as its argument:
function functionDoStuff(xmlList:XMLList) {}
When does receivedXML get parsed, is it when we assign it to xmlList, or is it when it gets used in the next instruction by the function functionDoStuff?

Sep 24, 2010have an RSS feed, within Flex I have connected to the feed via HTTPService, the XML structure is as follows (not exact, but for the purpose of the question). I am able to walk down the xml and access the data within the title and link nodes with success but when I get the the description node and try to access the img and src attributes within it, I haven't had any success. Reading about parsing with e4x the example I get is:

I tried myXml..x:Item and myXml..x::Item but both throw errors. The first won't compile and the second complains about me trying to use NameSpace '0'.

Oct 16, 2009I'm working on a Flex application that processes and displays small amounts of HTML, sometimes including images. I'm getting the HTML out of third-party RSS feeds. Sometimes, I see this in a pop-up window: Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.
The RSS URL is just fine, but there's apparently something in the downloaded HTML that's causing a problem. Since the application is meant to run as part of a non-interactive digital sign, anything that requires a click to continue is completely unacceptable. I don't care how useless or malformed a URL is; the app needs to ignore the problem without pestering the user.
Unfortunately, I'm having no luck trapping this event. I'm sprinkling calls like this liberally through the code: [object].addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, handleIOError); where [object] is everything from the mx:Text object rendering the HTML to its mx:Canvas parent to the mx:Application top-level app, and handleIOError is a simple function that looks like this:

Flex - Error #2032: Stream Error Occurring On Fedora But Not On Ubuntu
Dec 4, 2011This error has been faced by many people, as seen via internet, but none of the solutions given worked for me.
Problem:I have a flex application which I am trying to run on a Linux machine. On Ubuntu, it works fine but on Fedora following error arises when a login button is clicked.

Details:Login button actually sends username and password entered by a user to a server deployed on same machine via HTTPService. That HTTPService actually sends data to db_mgmt.php on the server which takes care of authorization of the user by querying mysql database deployed on same machine.

Dec 20, 2009I'm having trouble with an AS3 AMF RemoteObject request that is hosted on App Engine. I have a crossdomain.xml file in the root of the domain, and also one at the remoting endpoint.Here are the contents of the root crossdomain.xml:

Loading the swf file and testing it on my machine works just fine... I think that may have something to do with me having the debugger version of Flash Player. When I push it up to App Engine to make it public, other clients access it and get a Client.Error.MessageSend Channel.Security.Error error Error #2048 url: http:[url].......I am using Flex 4 beta, and the App Engine Python runtime. I have tried full wildcard in the crossdomain, and even accessing the data endpoint at a relative URL so as to avoid this error.

Sep 26, 2008This is my first day to try and use XML to display dynamic text in Flash. My skillset is weak with AS3 and Flash, but I found some tutorials online and I have managed to successfully display the first record in mytest.swf. However I also seem to have all records displaying in each dynamic text box as well. My loop isn't stopping after each record. It's reading everything. And dumping the results into each text field.
I need to only display each record individually. Once I accomplish that, I will need to include some form of navigation. Lets say buttons that perform a NEXT, PREVIOUS, LAST, FIRST type function. Then lastly, I'll need to include some type of search navigation option by item number. I assume that I'd have to have a second screen that links to my primary results screen with an input form for the item number.

I was doing pretty good until I reached a node that was formatted thus;

This text traced a value of undefined.I have tried to research this and so far all I have been able to find out, is that this is a XML namespace and is very easily handled in as3. Unfortunately I have to use as2.How do I parse out this information into a dyamic text fields?
