I'm making a contact page in as3 and I need some help. How do I send post data to a php page on this web page http://parallels.fm. Basically I have three dynamic text fields and a submit button. If I can send post data from that page to a php page that would be great.

I am trying to do tiling with sprites. I want my tiles to be interactive, so that is why I am using the sprite object instead of using regular bitMaps to represent my tiles. You might be wondering why I wouldnt just use graphics.beginBitmapFill(tImage); and graphics.drawRect(0, 0,tWidth ,tHeight ); to pick out the tiles I want to use. Well reason being is because it turns out that drawRect() first and second parameters actually alter the location of where the actual sprite sits at.
So if I set the x and y properties of the sprite to x = 20, and y = 20. then I set my drawRect(20,20). it actually adds an extra 20 pixels to my x and y coords of my sprite. And I know the reason why, I just need to know a better way.
I'm trying to trace the path of an object by using setPixel on the object's position every frame in a BitmapData/Bitmap pairing. These pixels aren't showing up normally and I suspect I have a fundamental misunderstanding of the BitmapData class. Here's what I'm doing:

Using this code, the red pixels don't show up. If I initialize contrailBase to 0xFF000000 instead then I get a black screen on which the red pixels DO draw, but I need the bitmap to be transparent except for the contrail. What am I doing wrong?

I have a problem with strange memory allocation. I tried to illustrate the problem on a sample application, you'll find it in the attached zip file, or you can open this page: [URL] You'll also need something to see the memory currently allocated to flash applications - I use WSMonitor, please open it here: [URL] The code in the sample application is very simple. It does the following (please run the WSMonitor html, press "Start", and open the test page from above in another tab/window):
1. Download a file called "sample.swf". This is a swf file generated from PDF using pdf2swf tools, I'm sure you know this utility. The swf looks fine, it contains some images, but for some reason it causes me trouble - see below.
2. Once the file loads, I try to draw and display a bitmap representation of the loaded file, using bitmapdata and its draw function. So far so good. Note that I store the reference to the loaded MovieClip - I need it! Well not in this case, but say I might need it later.
3. Once the bitmap is displayed, you can click in the application. This should result in disposing of the bitmap. However, if I watch the memory allocation using WSMonitor, the memory usage won't drop down to the expected values - some tens of MB still remain. And that is the problem - say if I do this repeatedly with more swf files like this, I will have some hundreds MB of useless memory in my application - not cool.
From what I understand, the memory usage of this simple application goes as follows (let's say that after the start of my application, the usage is 0). After the swf is loaded, the usage goes to say +1 MB (reflecting the fact that I've downloaded some data). After the bitmap is drawn, the usage jumps to say +40 MB (why so much?).

I have displayobject with vector and image data And I am trying to scale it in order to get big jpeg out of it with JPGEncoder.The thing is that once I am resample it using the Bitmap class (Matrix) and with draw method it's getting pixelated.How can I take a container with vector graphic and bitmap image and rescale it to bitmapdata without getting things pixled.This is the displayobject:The image in the center is high resolution image which I resize and all the other elements are vector graphic.Since the image is high resolution and all the other elements are vectors if I just call the scaleX property of the displayobkect it increase the contenier size and it all looks very good. But if I want to take a bitmap data out of it it's look terrible, The fonts getting pixelated and even the photo.I will like to know it there is a way to do it without getting things pixelated.

I have a picture in a BitmapData object. And an array of points. I nead to erase the part of the picture inside a polygon specified by the points. In other words, draw a polygon specified by the points and fill it with transparency.
I have 3 objects. One BitMap that acts as my canvas. And 2 bitmapDatas. One is my buffer and another is my tiles. I am creating a tiling effect for a game. I would like to take my tile:BitMapData, and turn it into a custom object. reason being is I want each tile to be interactive. So I can click on each one. Is it possible to turn my bitMapData that represents a tile, into a custom object that has properties and methods. Sort of like a movie clip. and draw it into my buffer ?? Could I create a new class that extends bitMapData ?? Or would I have to get rid of the buffer and draw the tile objects directly into the BitMap ??
In other words, what is the best way to put Sprite or a tile into a BitMapData object or even a Bitmap.
I should mention that the reason for me taking this approach is that I have a PNG, with transparent areas, I need to test for collisions in the non-transparent areas, which is why I was using this approach

I'm really struggling to work out how to split a BitmapData object into two separate bjects, and eventually add them to a mc and animate them.I can successfully create a new Bitmap out of the left half, but when I try changing the Rectangle props for the second Bitmap draw method to make a Bitmap out of the right half, it doesn't work?Here's my code:
