I have used the kirupa tutorial on a flash email form and it works GREAT! The only thing is I want to have required fields that need to be entered in for the form to send. If the user doesn't enter anything, it will ask them to in order to send the email.how I can do this or adapt it to the kirupa tutorial code?
View 1 RepliesI've created a form in flash to for customers to send email from the website. I'm using action script 3 - (mailto: ) There are two problems.
1) It doesn't send. A blank email form comes up that the user has to fill out - doesn't work with their email client.
2) How can I get it to validate?
I am creating an order form for my flash site. I have never done this before in flash but I have in visual basic. I have a few questions:
1. Is assigning variable names to checkboxes and radio buttons the same as in visual basic? I mean i know that you probably assign them in the properties. ex..say i name a radio button 'radio1', to run a check in my actionscript whether radio1 was checked or not would it be something like if(radio1){}
2. After the person fills out the form I would like to have the results of the order sent to a pre-specified email adress in a certain format. What would be a good way to do this?
I don't know if this is too much to ask but could someone give me a quick overview on how to create an email form that actually sends the information to my email? I have the form created, and I'll post the .fla file (I allow a laugh at my elementary flash movie. This is just a final project for an intro to flash class), and I understand I'll need the .asp file from GoDaddy setup on my hosted space.

I believe my problem lies within the email_data var. And I believe the problem is the "&" that has to be there. If I take it out I dont receive the information placed inside the corresponding input text fields.
How can I send email to several email addresses by clicking the submit button one time. I am using Flash AS-2 .Shall be glad for any reference.

I'm currently using Macromedia Flash 8. I'm doing up a website purely on Flash, in of the page it involves a "Contact Us" where there is a Form. I need these informations to be collated and send automatically as an email to my email account. I've tried to follow some scripts from this Forum. But when i click the Submit button, nothing happens and I did not receive any email at all.

However, I would really like instead to allow them to either send it to an email address right after recording (without them having to save it to their computer first and find the file), OR to let them save it so that the site owner can access it (They would know that it was happening.).

View 1 RepliesI have only two fields Name and Email in a Order form and a PayPal button for payment at PayPal ( into my account).I can do the mail portion but have no idea about PayPal code, however on search here I found one code and after pasting this one to the PayPal button it redirects to my PayPal account. But the question is anybody can post a message and leave the site without paying me. How can I do this thing so that the user will forced to pay before posting the mail form. No idea how to proceed?

View 1 RepliesI try to send an email from flash wit php. The problem is that I have a main movie which loads external swf files. One of them is my contact swf too. And when this is loaded and I fill the contact sheet doesnt wants to send the email. If I upload only the contact file with published in flash works fine. So finaly I think that what is wrong is that the external contact swf is loaded isnt on the root. I must change some scripts but I dunno yet what becuse I tried a lot os change but becuse Im a very newby dont works.

View 4 RepliesI have tried following the tutorial for building a Flash webpage email contact form using Actionscript 2.0 and the PHP script written in Dreamweaver to process the website visitor's information.When I receive the inbound email message in my inbox, it only contains the "Name: ", "Email: ", and "Message: " titles that I wrote into the PHP script followed by nothing. The actual visitor's info and text that was entered into the text inputs and text fields on the Flash webpage is missing.I have a button symbol instance named "sender" on the root timeline. When clicking that to send the email, Flash does not make use of the Boolean value returned in the echo PHP function of the variable $sentOk to move the Flash movie timeline to either the success or failed messages on those respective frames of the timeline. The movie just stays on the current frame which is all of the form objects and the "sender" button.[code]My GoDaddy web hosting account ( on a Linux server ) has assured me that PHP is allowed to run on my remote web domain. Does anyone in the Forum, any of the moderators, know of why I am not receiving the same email results that Lee demonstrates in the PHP Email tutorial?
