ActionScript 2.0 :: Mail Form - Cannot Send Info From Input Boxes To Email
Dec 9, 2005
I created a funky mail form and i can't seem to send the info from the input boxes in my flash file... to the PHP script, stuff it into an email, and then send back a success or error response. I am attaching the FLA and PHP files as well as the external .as files that are needed for the FLA's effects to work. [URL]
i have about 10 fields most input text boxes and then about 4 check boxes...i have no clue how to use as3 and php together to send the form info to an email.
[URL]. I can't seem to get an email to go to my account. I have the php form adjusted with my information (and in the same folder as my swf file). I've checked with readyhosting, my site host, and it says that it supports php. Am I placing the script in the wrong place (folder)?
I have used the kirupa tutorial on a flash email form and it works GREAT! The only thing is I want to have required fields that need to be entered in for the form to send. If the user doesn't enter anything, it will ask them to in order to send the email.how I can do this or adapt it to the kirupa tutorial code?
I have a working flash php mailing form but the only problem is that I put some code in there to check if the email is valid before it sends it off but it doesn't seem to work. I did a test by just putting in a as the email and that worked, sent off the email without giving an error.
Is is possible to check if its valid before it sends off or is there another method for checking valid email addresses. I used that code from [URL] website.
For a company I made a website in flash. Everything seems to work fine except the mailform. Infact the mailform does his job but the message's I receive look like this: First name: <TEXTFORMAT LEADING="2"><P ALIGN="LEFT"><FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE="13" COLOR="#000000" LETTERSPACING="0" KERNING="0">Nick</FONT></P></TEXTFORMAT> Email: <TEXTFORMAT LEADING="2"><P ALIGN="LEFT"><FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE="13" COLOR="#000000" .....
I made a form in flash to send a mail to an emailaddress, when I export the .fla to .swf, then it works correctly. But when I insert that .swf in a .html-document and run this in a browser, it won't work! What could be the reason?

I am trying to create an email form in Flash 8 that sends mail to my hosting account email address. GoDaddy says that you have to use their coding, but how do I get this to work with Flash 8?Can anyone give me a hand? Below is a link to GoDaddy's write up on creating a PHP form-mailer.URL...
I'm trying to finish off a Flash menu that was done for my website & I'm a bit stuck - New to this game. Basically I have a menu made up of 5 items, each item leads to another list which has a "datefield", "nemericstepper" & "order" button. what I am trying to achieve is when the "order" button is pressed the "date" & "number" information is sent to my existing order page, customers details are then entered in the required fields & this is sent including the "date" & "number" via my existing PHP script to my email.
Had a customer purchase a template, customized it to suite their needs only thing was it has a built in email part to the flash which came with no php script ....and for the life of me I cannot get it to work properly, [url]if you go to the contacts page you will see the form I am referring to. If any one here who knows the php and action scripting well, please give this a look see. I cannot get it to send mail, clear button works fine, send button just does absolutely nothing, sits there and looks pretty.I have tried 4 different action scripts with this thing and am at my wits end.

I believe my problem lies within the email_data var. And I believe the problem is the "&" that has to be there. If I take it out I dont receive the information placed inside the corresponding input text fields.
I followed the contact form tutorial and created my own "join mailing list" form, but I want it to send you a confirmation when you press send on the form.
Basically I've created a simple flash form which is linked to a PHP processor to email to a client. I have both simple text input fields, and the ComboBox and DateSelector components from the flash CS3 menu.
Inputs from the text fields work fine and appear in the emailed form, I have set the var fields on these. However the ComboBox and DateSelector inputs don't appear, and i cant figure out how to set the var fields on these. How do you get the text/whatever is chosen from these components to actually appear in the emailed php form!?
