I have a contact form and i have a little problem when it comes to send a mail. I have the string message saying that the message has been sent but the receiver just get an empty message, empty email address from the sender etc... in other words the mail get send but it is empty.

I have made a contact form with PHP having 3 fields. (name,email,message)
When i upload it to my server it works just fine . Every mail i send with the contact form comes to my mail excellent.
But when i upload it to my client's server it doesn't work. The mail seems to the viewer that it was sent but the mail i get is blank of all fields.

The issue I'm having is that when I hit the submit button on my form, it doesn't send the information through. It just stays stuck on sending.... and doesn't send any information. I then ran a test with an even simpler code:Just to see if it was even connecting and I recieved this error:

Now I don't have access to the host server because I'm not the owner. I just designed the site for the client and I have been having these issues with the form. I did test it on my server and everything worked fine which led me to believe that the problem lies in the php settings of their host server. I contacted the host server and this is what they sent me:
"Dear client, 127.0.0.1 is localhost which you cannot use to send email. Please make use of your mail server to and send and provide SMTP authentication to the remote server. Note that the FROM address has to be the same as login email.
I created a funky mail form and i can't seem to send the info from the input boxes in my flash file... to the PHP script, stuff it into an email, and then send back a success or error response. View 1 RepliesI have followed a tutorial for a email validation contact form perfectly (to my knowledge) but I keep getting an error when the form is filled in correctly or correctly apart from the email input:
TypeError: Error #1006: value is not a function.

This obviously points to the SubmitFunction() in the AS3 but I don't know why

I'm using Flash CS3 and ActionScript 2. I've created a simple contact page, inside a movie clip (because I got it fading in and out), I've put the script on the main timeline, so not inside the movie, but the send and reset buttons won't respond all. I've checked the instance names and spellings are correct, here's the script I'm using:

I followed the contact form tutorial and created my own "join mailing list" form, but I want it to send you a confirmation when you press send on the form.
View 8 RepliesI've created a product registration form for my website and the basics of it work fine, ie when I click submit the info successfully gets e-mailed to me. I'd like to expand the functionality of it, however. As is, I get an e-mail regardless if any of the fields are filled in or not. I'd like for users to be directed to an error page when the e-mail field is blank and a thank you page otherwise. How would I do this? I imagine it can either be done directly in flash or would the php instruct the browser to navigate to the error or thank you page? Key is I don't want the form to be submitted if the email is blank.

I am creating a website in flash CS4 and I made a contact form and when I test the site out, I can type and click the submit button, so everything is fine there but it doesn't go to anything. Now I know I need a code to tell the contact form where to go, but I can't find one that works, or I may be doing something wrong. I also have been reading about PHP but I am not sure what that is. I found a site that said to put this code in the actions panel.

I'm making a web page and I wanna include a contact form in it so I'm making it in FLASH CS4. Using Action Sript 3.0. I watched some video tutorials in YouTube in how to make the Code and PHP form. But when I finished the form on flash I published it in SWF and when I click the submit button this error shows on the OUTPUT tab:

I followed the contact form tutorial and it works perfectly. However, I would like to add error messages so that the user is prompted to enter information in a blank field. I followed a tutorial from this site to figure out the code (I am very new to actionscript).I've entered the if and else statements in to the code. My problem is that if when I test the file if a field is blank it will bring up the necessary error message but it will still send the email and when it goes to the success frame, the error message is still on the pageke a look at my code and let me know what I'm doing wrong?

Greetings: I've used this method many times in the past to create an email form in a movie clip with a "send button" that accesses a perl, cgi script to email text input fields. It worked fine in past versions of Flash, but now I'm using Flash CS3 (v9.0, AS 2.0). I've tried 3 different cgi scripts I found online for this purpose and am sure the configurations for sendmail server & perl bins, etc are correct. All of the other "if" and "else" statements on the button work fine. But I can see a Safari (browser) error message saying POST was not used, but clearly it is. I'm trying to trouble shoot whether the problem is from the flash button or the cgi script. Has something changed in Flash CS3 from previous versions, where I'm certain it has worked before???

View 6 RepliesI added a contact form to a site, and the input fields aren't allowing numbers or certain letters. If I test the contact form swf by itself, it works fine. But as soon as I test it in the site, the problem occurs. I haven't got any other actionscript around the contact form, so am puzzled. The site is [URL] - the contact link is on the bottom left menu.
