I have a contact form on my flash site that collects the users name, email address and message. It then forwards this to my email address.The form is working, however I get an error after it has been submitted as follows:

So I have built a contact form out of AS2 and PHP. PHP 5 is enabled on my server, so that's not a problem. I think there is a slight error within my code somewhere. What happens is once online, you fill out the form and hit post, it goes to the "error sending email!". Below is my code so you can take a look at it. The contact form doesn't seem to sendI'm not sure where the problem is but i have tried to attach all the relevant files (i might of missed something). I don't even know where to start The email i'm trying to send to at the moment is redpandadesign@gmail.com but that will change to info@pedrovirgil.net once i have it working.

I watched some video tutorials in YouTube in how to make the Code and PHP form. But when I finished the form on flash I published it in SWF and when I click the submit button this error shows on the OUTPUT tab:

I followed the contact form tutorial and it works perfectly. However, I would like to add error messages so that the user is prompted to enter information in a blank field. I followed a tutorial from this site to figure out the code (I am very new to actionscript).I've entered the if and else statements in to the code. My problem is that if when I test the file if a field is blank it will bring up the necessary error message but it will still send the email and when it goes to the success frame, the error message is still on the pageke a look at my code and let me know what I'm doing wrong?

I have followed a tutorial for a email validation contact form perfectly (to my knowledge) but I keep getting an error when the form is filled in correctly or correctly apart from the email input:
TypeError: Error #1006: value is not a function.

the source files work perfectly when I upload them to my server - but when I insert the form into my flash website - I am unable to receive the contact email at all. The problem must be with the flash file becuase I have not altered the php (except to send to my email)
I am using Flash CS3 (but publishing for action script2) I have double checked all my input field sare named correctly with var_names that match the php code. The form fields have been created as a moviclip named "form" and the following action script attached:

I am creating a website in flash CS4 and I made a contact form and when I test the site out, I can type and click the submit button, so everything is fine there but it doesn't go to anything. Now I know I need a code to tell the contact form where to go, but I can't find one that works, or I may be doing something wrong. I also have been reading about PHP but I am not sure what that is. an array holds all the parameter names of the input text component (default GUI components shipped with flash).
trying to loop through the array: the following happens: var test2 traces out the correct x value of the input field var test1 traces out nothing.
so actionscript recognizes the input field but i can not read out the value of .text

I am using loadVars with the send method to send my contact info to a php file. This works fine but when I press the submit button the browser goes to the email.php file. How do i prevent it from opening that file in the browser window?

Code is working but i am getting the following error and it is driving me insane:

I have uploaded the swf file and php file on the server but my form is still not working by sending the information to my email.
I created a simple web site in flash cs4 with a contact form, however, when I press submit, no email is sent even though my site says it was successfully sent.

I have a request to create a contact form within one of our existing Flash sites, [URL] (password is "insight"). I can't use PHP because our server doesn't support it (long story, my company has very tight restrictions on what they'll support due to government guidelines on security online).
All the searches I've seen use PHP to accomplish this, so I'm hoping someone knows how to do this using JavaScript.
Is i can make contact form uisng AS 2.0 or AS 3.0 ?

I used this [Url]to create the AS code for the send button for my form + the php code as well from this Kirupa link.I'm being hosted by Godaddy with the linux server with the email being sent to...When I fill out the form and submit - nothing is recieved in my inbox.Having tested the forwarding from Godaddy to yahoo - does work!

View 2 RepliesI am creating a contact form and I have completed the form in flash.How do I get flash to talk to php so that when a user clicks on the submit button it will send the data via php to an email account. Right now I have trace functions that are reading the input in flash. I just need to figure out how to communicate to php. It would be a bonus if I the input text can check to make sure the email is a valid email.
