Mar 11, 2003[URL]. I can't seem to get an email to go to my account. I have the php form adjusted with my information (and in the same folder as my swf file). I've checked with readyhosting, my site host, and it says that it supports php. Am I placing the script in the wrong place (folder)?

Feb 9, 2006I have a working flash php mailing form but the only problem is that I put some code in there to check if the email is valid before it sends it off but it doesn't seem to work. I did a test by just putting in a as the email and that worked, sent off the email without giving an error.

Is is possible to check if its valid before it sends off or is there another method for checking valid email addresses. I used that code from [URL] website.

Dec 9, 2005I created a funky mail form and i can't seem to send the info from the input boxes in my flash file... to the PHP script, stuff it into an email, and then send back a success or error response. Aug 4, 2004I went through the tutorial on creating the email form with php. I followed it and made my own movie, uploaded it to my webserver and tried it. I havent recieved and emails. Then I downloaded his source file and changed the email address in the php and uploaded it and Its still not working.

Aug 17, 2004I am creating an order form for my flash site. I have never done this before in flash but I have in visual basic. I have a few questions:
1. Is assigning variable names to checkboxes and radio buttons the same as in visual basic? I mean i know that you probably assign them in the properties. ex..say i name a radio button 'radio1', to run a check in my actionscript whether radio1 was checked or not would it be something like if(radio1){}
2. After the person fills out the form I would like to have the results of the order sent to a pre-specified email adress in a certain format. What would be a good way to do this?

Dec 4, 2010I don't know if this is too much to ask but could someone give me a quick overview on how to create an email form that actually sends the information to my email? I have the form created, and I'll post the .fla file (I allow a laugh at my elementary flash movie. This is just a final project for an intro to flash class), and I understand I'll need the .asp file from GoDaddy setup on my hosted space.

1) It doesn't send. A blank email form comes up that the user has to fill out - doesn't work with their email client.
2) How can I get it to validate?

May 10, 2003How can I create a mail form in Flash ? I know, it's been asked a million times before but this one's different. You see the server I'm on has UNIX servers, and don't support anything. Real crap, not even PHP, AS, CGI, ... nothing. So now what do I do to create a mail form without PHP, AS, Perl, CGI, ... ? I have no idea at all, all those forms use PHP.

Feb 4, 2009I am having some issues with a php email form that I am using in my AS3 project. the form works perfect and all communication is good.however when the user is on the page and wants to tab to the next text field it jumps to one of my hyperlinks on the same page and not to the next text field down on the php form.
is there any way to stop this from happening.I have tried placing the php form on a seperate layer in a seperate mc and I have done the same with the hyperlinks .you can see what I mean by visiting this development site.(after entering go to contact)http:[url].....

Oct 25, 2010I've created a product registration form for my website and the basics of it work fine, ie when I click submit the info successfully gets e-mailed to me. I'd like to expand the functionality of it, however. As is, I get an e-mail regardless if any of the fields are filled in or not. I'd like for users to be directed to an error page when the e-mail field is blank and a thank you page otherwise. How would I do this? I imagine it can either be done directly in flash or would the php instruct the browser to navigate to the error or thank you page? Key is I don't want the form to be submitted if the email is blank.
