ActionScript 2.0 :: Load Specific MC Within External SWF?

Firstly can I apologise if I'm asking something completely obvious... it driving me crazy.
I have an swf called "branding.swf" which has a movieclip (movie_mc) and a button (save_btn)
Once you press save_btn it loads another swf "summary.swf" which also has a movieclip "form_mc". Within "form_mc" there is another movieclip "loader_mc" and some dynamic text fields.
All this happens within a standalone exe "main.exe" and is loaded into "clips_mc)
Is it possible (surely it must be) to take the contents of movie_mc and display it within "loader_mc".
Basically, I want to do a loadMovie but instead of calling "branding.swf" I want it to only load "movie_mc" which is within "branding_swf"

I am trying to load an external swf at a specific x& y pos. from a button. This is the code I am using :

The movie loads fine if I remove xpos="7", ypos="119";How do I get it to load at that specific position?

I am using Flash CS3, Actionscript 2.
I need to load an external movie file into the root of my main movie, so it replaces the main movie, and when it loads, it loads at a specific frame (or label)of that newly loaded movie.
Explanation: My main movie, lets call it "Main.swf", has a button which is part of a drop down (tree) list. When you click on the button, I want to load my second movie called "bearings.swf", and to immediately go to frame #2 of the "bearings.swf" movie.

The title of my main file is "Gabriel96.fla". Inside this file I have a movie clip called "home movie". Inside this movie clip i have a button called "Symbol 32". Once this button gets clicked, I'd like it to go to frame "joe" which is inside a movie clip called "porrtfolio", which inside a separate file called "portfolio55.swf".

I'm actually creating a pretty simple banner that needs to stay under 40k size. I'm trying to load and unload an external .swf to my main swf file. So far, I only managed to load my external .swf, without finding a way to make it appear and disappear at specific frames (the external .swf shows up directly at frame 1, then when the animation loops over, it stacks over and over).
I read some things about onEnterFrame and counters but still wasn't able to solve my issue.
Here's my actual code. It makes the "horse.swf" file (located in the same folder as my main swf) fades in into my main swf after it has been loaded.
By the way, I used The LoaderMax system from greensock. because it seemed lighter and easier to manage than the native Adobe Loader one.

Does someone have a working fla to illustrate how to load an external movie and zoom and pan to specific location of this movie (with easing)? With actionscript, not necessarily with a control for the user. I am looking for it for some time and unfortunately my programming abilities are not yet sufficient to find it out from scratch (but I am working on it).

Basically once my animation loads I want to pull in an external SWF at a specific frame, basically like the "home page" swf that will display first. Underneath that I will have "About Us, Contact, etc..." and those will each load an external SWF into my movie clip. My movieclip right now is called mcHolder. Here is the code I am currently using for the buttons:

I have a guestion about preloaders. Every preloader that is available on the web loads the entire .SWF.But I want the preloader to load a specific mc. So that the .SWF will run as soon as that specific mc is loaded.
in addition: Is it possible to have an mc in the .SWF that will only load when the user pushes a button?

for my latest task at work, oh what joy, i have to create a small banner thing which reads data from a text file... BUT... it only reads from the text file IF there is a text file present which i labeled TODAYS date!
Get todays date IF there is a file present in a certain directory which is called todays date.txt (ie. 02042006) then it reads the info in that text file and prints it into a certain area in the flash file. If there is nothing present it just displays the default stuff!!

I made a flash website and had one page load an external swf.
In this external .swf are thumbnails that link to another page (frame) all within the external swf. when you go to these pages there is a 'back' link which links back to the main external swf frame.
My problem is this: let's say i click a thumbnail in the external swf and it goes to the respective thumbnail page, and then i dont click the 'back' button but instead click another link of the main flash website - then i go back to the page that loads the external swf and instead of going to the main frame of the external swf it stays at the page i was previously on.
How do I get the link on the main flash website which loads the external .swf to always load on the first frame of the external swf?[code]...

I have two flash files, say a.swf and b.swf.a.swf is the main swf file, embedded in an HTML page for a webpage. There is a preloader in a.swf too. In b.swf, when I click a specific button I need to load a.swf, but not from the preloader, from the content. To be precise, the content starts from Frame 24 of a.swf (obviously Preloader ends in Frame 23). I believe, the frame 24 has to be loaded in a.swf when I click the button in b.swf.

I have menu.swf which loads an external SWF (longmenu.swf)longmenu.swf has a long background on stage, which scrolls according to what the user clicks. It works fine on it's own with tweenLite. But what i need to do is to have menu.swf controls to which part of the background it scrolls or appears at once an item on menu.swf is clicked.

I have created a dynamic textfield which loads several text nodes from an xml file by using a for loop. How can I set each text node to load a specific swf? Does the eventListener need to be applied on the whole textfield or is it possible to add it depending on which xml text node is clicked?

Is there a way to use an loadMovieNum code at the beginning of a frame and make it load at a specific x and y coordinate? When I use this code it doesn't work...

It changes the coordinates of the main background image, not the position of the movie it just loaded. I tried something like this....

I have a SWF loading in right now, however it loads to the stages x:0 and y:0. Here's my code:

How do I tell it to load to a certain Y position. The x doesn't really matter because x:0 is good.

Using AS3 how can you load an external swf file at a specific frame of the newly loaded swf file.Using the AS3 loader class I have no problem loading an external image or swf movie onto the stage.But what I want to do is when the swf is loaded, go to the second frame (labeled "two") of that loaded swf.
For example, My main movie "main.swf" is blank.My external movie "loadMe.swf" has a circle on frame one and a square on frame 2.On the main movie (main.swf) is a button and when you click on it I want the square on frame two of "loadMe.swf" to appear.

I've learned recently that you can use txt file for simple data too, so I include it here as well.TXT contains (not sure if correct, should have same data kind as the xml):
point1&x=1&y=2

What I have:
- I have 2 dynamic textfields: text1 (variable: outPut1) and text2 (variable: outPut2)
- I have 1 input textfield: (variable:inPut)
- I have 1 button
What I'm trying to do:
- When typing point1 in the input textfield and then pressing the button,(onRelease), outPut1 textfield should show the number 1 and outPut2 textfield should show 2.
- Similar, when typing point3 in the input textfield and pressing the button, outPut1 should show the number 5 and outPut2 should show the number -5.
-It is not only for these three points, it should be applicable with say 50.000 to 200.000 more of such points, each with different x and y values.
To sum it up:So Flash (with AS2) should screen the nodes or txt (for those point names) on what was inserted in the input textfield, then fill the corresponding attributes (XML) seperately in the textfields and all that after the button was pressed. The same deal if it was done with txt, if possible (have read that with txt, loading of data would be faster?).
