May 18, 2009Most of the time when previewing the fla as either SWF or HTML, an message prompts up asking to disabled AC_RunActiveContent. Unfortunately unable to find reasons for this happening. Jun 24, 2009So, I have a 3 minute mp3 file on my stage; the idea is to provide background music for my animation. So I go to preview the animation, and everything works fine, until I stop the preview. Then the audio keeps playing on and on. If I hit the preview again, obviously the music starts up again, and then won't stop, in a vicious circle of death that has me fleeing from the room.
To make it clear, I'm not previewing the audio file, I'm previewing the entire animation with the audio file on the stage.
Cannot See Whole Flash Movie When Previewing
Aug 17, 2009when i preview F12 my flash composition, i cannot see the entire flash movie.only part of it. the rest is cut off. and there are no scrollbars to move the image to see the rest of it.

Jul 30, 2009I was wondering if there was a way in Flash to preview externally loaded images in Flash while still working.I am loading images externally to keep the file size down on a piece of elearning but now I'm afraid maintenance will be a nightmare since you don't actually see the screens until you publish. I have interactions on the screens so I need to see them for their placement on screen.

Mar 1, 2010I'm looking to develop an application that essentially allows the user to upload their company logo and have it appear on an image to simulate what a product might look like with their branding on if that makes sense. Does this kind of app have a proper name or search term I could work from? Ideally there'd be a prebuilt solution as my flash isn't very good. I have an idea to achieve this with say PHP and a combination of jquery and css but I think a flash solution would be more elegant.

May 9, 2010I had been using Flash CS5 as a trial for the past 6 days without issues. Yesterday, I made a change to a file, and went to preview it, as I had several times before. This time, when I slected preview movie, Flash crashed umexpectedly. When I launched it again, it came up looking very corrupted - window as messed up, and any an all attempts to load any of the workspaces resulted in Flash crashes. I had to completely uninstall it including all prefs to get it to work again. I am hesitant to try a preview movie again.

Jan 27, 2011I've written a simple preloader which I've put in its own movie clip. The code is as follows:

The code works out a value between 0 and 1 called 'loadVal' this is used to animate a masking object a distance defined by a variable called 'yShift'. loadVal is rounded up to give a whole number that is displayed in a text field showing the percentage of the movie which has loaded.The preloader seems to be running and it will trigger the move to play when it completes but I can't see the preloader previewing in the Bandwidth Profiler, even when I set the data speed to be very slow. I've noticed this issue before and it is annoying as I need to see how the preloader looks and works.
Professional :: Get Flash To Stop Playing Audio When Previewing While Working?
Nov 25, 2011For a class project I have to make kinetic typography and so I need text to go along with some audio from a movie (in Flash). Every time I press enter to preview what I've done and what I have to do next, the audio starts and doesn't stop till it's done and this is a little over a minute long, and it's really annoying. If I don't start from the first keyframe, I can't even hear the audio, it doesn't play if I play from the middle. How do I press enter to play and have it stop when I press enter again? I can load the swf by CTRL+ENTER but then I can't see what frame I'm on and what frame I want. :|
