ActionScript 2.0 :: Send ContentPath To PHP
Mar 1, 2006how can i send the contentPath from a scroller to a php file? The scroller has the instance name of ImagePane. I want to publish that contentPath to a txt file using php.

May 3, 2007I am trying to use the FLV Playback component to load FLV's dynamiclly into the flash movie.What I have is a asp page with a Recordset pulling the URL from the DB into the page using Dreamweaver. This is all fine.Now I have one instance of the FLVPlayback on the stage with flash .I am trying to load the url for the FLV file into the movie, via ASP, MsSQL and a url parameter. What I am trying to accomplish is to have a link on a page with a url that will open a popup window. In this window I will have the Flash file that will load the FLV based on the URL, and play it.

Feb 11, 2009I'm having a project where I rely heavily on loading external images in AS2.These lines works fine and I have about a hundred of them:
_root.pic.contentPath = "GFX/Data11.png";
_root.pic.contentPath = "GFX/Data12.png";
etc.
I have another loader which works as a magniyer for the aforementioned one. Is it possible to let it load up the same image as "_root.pic.contentPath" without having to type in code manually for each picture?

Sep 24, 2010how can I dynamically change the contentPath in FLVPlayback-Component, when one video is complete and the other one should follow? the code below it doesn't work for me. I don't show the full URLs, but the problem is definitely somewhere else. As separate contentPaths they work perfectly. I don't know why this shouldn't work, do I need smth. else to force FLVPlayback to refresh the content?

Why doesn't that load a video? The skin partially appears, but the video does not. Hitting "Play" gives a server error, even though I'm testing locally. Does FLVPlayback need the full MACHINE PATH -- file:////blah blah blah -- to access that local file? You'd think not.

Sep 2, 2009I have a single frame file that is a portfolio viewer. When I rollover a thumbnail an image shows up in my main_mc. This works fine, but am trying to get the image to fade in to make it a little nicer.I've spent countless hours already searching forums and testing code, but it doesn't work. I wonder if it's because I'm using only one frame?

Compile Send Don't Send Error On CS3?
Mar 12, 2009a week ago I bought the following monster template template:[URL]..my last changes to it were to the popup boxes that appear on the SERVICII page when you click those titles there. Right after those changes it compiled and published, everything ok, i did several other tasks in Photoshop then back to my flash and at the next recompile, Error - Send don't send Flash has to close. I reopened it and it keeps closing forced. I tried undoing my steps but nothing worked. I am desperate, the project is due completion on saturday and my source is messed up.
Can anyone tell me why I get that? Has anyone been in a similar situation.I am a flash newbie, I saw no errors in "Compiler Errors" or in "Output", just force closing the Flash CS3.

In other words, the cursor turns into a hand, then when the 300 x 250 pixel image is clicked, a new website comes up in a new browser tab. I assume that I will need to use a transparent layer as a button on top of the other layers.

Feb 15, 2011I desperately need to send variables from AS3 to PHP. I have been searching and trying for days to work it out but nothing seems to work. I have a swf which will be used for quotes, each part asks things like size, colour and other options. It has a summary part at the end that shows everything that has been added. I want to send these variables with there values to a PHP page to send an email. I can work out the PHP bit and I have tried several things to get the variables sent to the PHP but nothing seems to work. I want to send the variables to php when the submit button is clicked, it goes to the test PHP page which should then print the variables but it is blank.
