This._parent.mc_video - ContentPath - Load A Video Swf In To A Master Swf
Aug 31, 2010
First off I am using flash 8 What I am trying to do. (or should that be failing to do?) load a video swf in to a master swf, Master swf has no controls and loads the video swf ok But no video content. Main file loads video swf in to mc_vidholder in the main swf Code in AS frame
I am using the MovieClipLoader object to load a swf into a master swf. I am the using a series of buttons to load various swfs into the master.swf - i.e.; navigation. Her is the code that I am using for the movie clip buttons go to frame 2 of the external swf MM_work is the movie clip that acts as a button. The first three lines of the function give the button its various states and interactivity the final line in the function is telling the movement.swf to load into the master.swf (or level 0) thus booting out the previous movie clip.What I want to be able to do is to fade out the current movie clip loaded into the master.swf (level 0) and once that has been completed to then load in movement.swf. Basically fading out the existing movie clip before loading the next one.
I can't figure out how to load external swf files(9) into my master.swf file one after the other. This is the Actionscript i have written so far.....(AS2)
var myItems:Array = new Array("swf01.swf", "swf02.swf", "swf03.swf", "swf04.swf", "swf05.swf", "swf06.swf", "swf07.swf", "swf08.swf", "swf09.swf"); var myMCL:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader(); var myListener:Object = new Object(); myMCL.addListener(myListener); myMCL.loadClip("myItems[0]", this.getNextHighestDepth());
The first swf loads alright into my master swf but i can't for the life of me work out how to load the rest after each one has finished loading. Don't know if i need a for loop or what?
I'm trying to get text to load from my master SWF file (_level0) into an instance on level 5. In the master file all I have is one key frame and this actionscript written into it.
ActionScript Code: var myMCL:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader(); myMCL.loadClip("preloader.swf", 5); _level5.textField1.text = "testText Field";
In the second swf (preloader.swf) all i have is on keyframe and an instance namedtextField1.Is there any reason why I shouldn't be able to load the text "testText Field" into it?
how can i send the contentPath from a scroller to a php file? The scroller has the instance name of ImagePane. I want to publish that contentPath to a txt file using php.
I am trying to use the FLV Playback component to load FLV's dynamiclly into the flash movie.What I have is a asp page with a Recordset pulling the URL from the DB into the page using Dreamweaver. This is all fine.Now I have one instance of the FLVPlayback on the stage with flash .I am trying to load the url for the FLV file into the movie, via ASP, MsSQL and a url parameter. What I am trying to accomplish is to have a link on a page with a url that will open a popup window. In this window I will have the Flash file that will load the FLV based on the URL, and play it.
When i click button 01, load the image externaly "01.jpg" in the ScrollPane. By clicking the button 02 change the path to "02.jpg" in the same ScrollPane, by clicking 03 the same thing, and so on.
I'm having a project where I rely heavily on loading external images in AS2.These lines works fine and I have about a hundred of them:
_root.pic.contentPath = "GFX/Data11.png"; _root.pic.contentPath = "GFX/Data12.png"; etc.
I have another loader which works as a magniyer for the aforementioned one. Is it possible to let it load up the same image as "_root.pic.contentPath" without having to type in code manually for each picture?
I am using the loader component to place images on the main timeline.My goal is to use a folder with multiple images.How can I modify the AS 2.0 code from myLoader.contentPath = "image.jpg";?I know it should start with:myLoader.contentPath = myVariable;How do I define myVariable to mean the path of the folder with multiple images?The folder will contain 1.jpg, 2.jpg, etc.
how can I dynamically change the contentPath in FLVPlayback-Component, when one video is complete and the other one should follow? the code below it doesn't work for me. I don't show the full URLs, but the problem is definitely somewhere else. As separate contentPaths they work perfectly. I don't know why this shouldn't work, do I need smth. else to force FLVPlayback to refresh the content?
I would like to make a game for christmas. How can i use _parent 2 times? i mean, i have a kinda complicated MovieClip, it's movieclip in movieclip, i think 4, and i want to a script do nextframe to the second parent folder.
The 4th movieclip when gets to a keyframe, it activates a script, to do nextFrame() in 2nd movieclip. I tried _parent._parent.nextFrame() and also _parent(2).nextFrame() but they didnt work.
I used the tutorial on Kirupa on loading external swf's. Before writing here I tried to find an answer in the forums, but no luck so here I go.[URL]..If you look at my files: Open portfolio.swf and hit one of the first two images (that initially flies in). here you will see that if you hit the second one, the rpesent one displayed makes an outro and the second one makes an intro, PERFECT!
Now, if you open default.swf (that has portfolio.swf loaded into a movie clip as you can see by looking at the source) and if you hit the second image, the first one makes the outro, and then makes an intro. So the shift to the second one is not happenening. Please, can someone help me to make this happen?
I just created a 448x380 SWF with the following code:
[Code]...
Why doesn't that load a video? The skin partially appears, but the video does not. Hitting "Play" gives a server error, even though I'm testing locally. Does FLVPlayback need the full MACHINE PATH -- file:////blah blah blah -- to access that local file? You'd think not.
on (release) { _root.rightMenu_mc.gotoAndStop("Animation"); }
It works fine the way it is but I read that it is better to use relatives paths rather than _root all the time but when I change it to _parent.rightMenu_mc.gotoAndStop("Animation"); it doesn't work anymore.
I have a movie load an SWF into a movie clip, in that SWF there is a button which tells a movie clip to .play, the movie clip inside that swf is called "clip". i have on that button _parent.clip.play();
I have several SWFs that I need to work when loaded into another container SWF file as well as work when they are stand-alone SWF files. Because of this, in circumstances where a movieClip is being talked to from another MovieClip I am using _parent as opposed to _root. It has been working fine until now. I have one circumstance that only works with _root and will not work with _parent. _root.content_mc.anim_mc.screenShots_mc.gotoAndSto p(2); Obvously this works fine as a stand alone but not of course once loaded into the container movie.
i can't get this preloader to work. i test it out, and it hangs. i've tried to change my _root to _parent values and nada. it just shows 0% and does nothing. here's the AS that i am using:
[Code]...
i got it off a tutorial a while ago. it seems to work in other flash movies that i have created, but not on this one. i've even re-built it from scratch, and still nada.
I have a _parent movieclip that receives mouse events and I want the clips inside the _parent clip (child clips) to receive mouse events also, but because of the _parent's mouse event handlers, the child clips are "interfered" with, or not received....how do I make it so both the _parent and the child clips can receive mouse events?
I make my base swf in which I load external swf's. In my base swf I have mp3 player. Everything works fine until I need to load external Video gallery or mmedija.swf. In video gallery I have
