ActionScript 2.0 :: XML Slideshow With Variable Set Of Pictures Per Photo?

I've spend two days searching this forum, to find an example on how to makea XML image gallery "like the kirupa one" but with an adittional feature...with no success.I'm looking for a gallery setup that offers you an option to inlcude extra photos' per image..For example:image one can contain 1-5 extra pictures, which can be seen either viadynamicly attached numbers 12345above the picture or even bettera "play/pause project" button which will show the extra pictures of that same project...a kind of slideshow within a slidehow..with captions/fades ...the whole deal.

i have a question about text in a slideshow. i know how to make a basic photo slideshow with external images. but now what i want to do is add 4-5 paragraphs of text next to each photo (with possible scrolling). the text will be different on each photo.

How to do a simple slide shows that plays automatically and has transitions in between pictures, can some one direct me in the right direction. So far I have 1 picture that does a transition and it has this action code inside the same frame where the picture is placed at. The pictures were converted into movie clip symbols.

I only have 1 layer. It works fine, but when I try to put two pictures and test the movie, it does not play automatically, why is this?

I want to create a slide show by making a loop that loads images one by one, pauses at each photo before removing it, and then adds the next one. However, the code (shown below) seems to race to the very last picture without pausing.

I would like some assistance. I created an xml slideshow which works fine when viewed in a browser, but when I view it in Flash Player, it skips some of the pictures, leaving a white screen instead. Is there a way of overcoming this?

I'm working on an expo, and I want to make an installment with a screen displaying a slideshow of some 5000 (fairly lo-res) pictures from a photo booth, and one of these scroll wheels beneath to have the user/viewer being able to scroll through it. When no-one is scrolling, the slide show is looping through as normal.I'm under the impression that it's a quite memory consuming task to load in pictures and displaying them for Flash, so therefore I wonder if this is even possible to do in for instance a Flash projector without consuming too much memory and getting massive stuttering and lag?

The end result is going to be a "photo-stack" with each image layered on top of one another, all cycling through the list of images. So container 1 would start of showing image 1, then image 2, and so on. Container 2 would start with image 2, then 3, and so on. One the container gets to it's final image, it loops back to the first image. I've duplicated all the necessary functions and duplicated all required variables with different names so there shouldn't be any overlap, however when I run my SWF, only one of the galleries loads. If I try and load the galleries as external SWF's, only one gallery appears.

I'm running through the tutorial on this photo gallery, but I would like to modify the code some. Instead of loading the first picture in the XML array, I'd like to have it randomly load one of the pictures. Below is the code that loads the first movie:

I was taking a look at this great site at the link interior Design. How it's done that gallery? I noticed that the pictures are loaded in order, before they are asked to be shown. When the user clicks on the number of the image, it has already been loaded by the swf.

[URL]. It's a tutorial that shows how to create a photo gallery and load the pictures and comments via XML. My problem is the following, the gallery and everything works well, but I when I try to load it into a container then everything messes up. Here's what I have: I have a main movie (the main .swf file) with a container in it, when clicking on one of the buttons from that movie the gallery.swf loads into the container (the gallery is the exact gallery from the tutorial) and it works well, until I press the button to load it again.
It seems that it messes up the value of "p". I tried tracking it, on the first load it tracks normally p=1, 2, 3, 4.... but on the second load it reacts as if it's double tracking it p=0 1, 2 2, 3 3, 2 4 ... It seems that Flash somehow keeps the old value of "p" in mind. I tried reseting it somehow or something but I can't seem to make it work (or maybe I have to rebuild the whole thing?).
It works perfectly if I load it only once but if I load the gallery.swf twice or more times then it goes crazy (or since I have more buttons on the stage, after pressing one and coming back to the gallery, it does the same, it's messed up). How can I "reset" the value of 0 on every load or something? I even tried playing around with unloadMovie but can't figure out how to use it.

Having an online swf doing some slideshow with loaded pictures from an xml filme, how can I, after building the slideshow with some transitions, export the result movie into a flv/mov/* file?know how you can get pictures from a xml file into flash and then proceed to build the slideshow (showing, of course, the swf in the page).What I need is a somewhat hidden swf that would process this pictures and then export the movie into a folder.Example:
-> user uploads pictures
-> user click preview movie
-> pictures are loaded into the flash file
-> movie is built
-> final file is saved into some folder
-> user is warned about the movie being done and read to download

A couple days I started a topic about how to load a folder of pictures into a flash movie(photo gallery).
With some tutorials I almost got it but something is not working very good.The images are displayed to big. They apear out of the box they should be in.
I dont know where to look anymore... is there someone that can take a look at my files?
I will attach them in a .zip file. (the "img" map is empty because the file was to big)

I want to say that the code I am working with is the same found here: [URL] The code is working perfectly (pictures are displaying) when opening the file, work_diesel.swf by itself. However, my problems occur when I open default.swf, and then navigating to the section work. From there I hit advertising, and in that section DIESEL. HERE is where the problem is visible. The pictures are not loading AT ALL when doing it this way (the correct and final way).
I am just wondering if anyone can pin point the problem for me so I can change it. It must be said that the work_diesel.swf is loading from an external source into default.swf.

Flash slideshow by getting it to preload the next photo (from a folder of numbered jpgs) when the current photo is done loading, but I can't quite get it worked out and I'm not sure what I'm missing... What I thought I might try is to have two movie clips to hold photos, one on the stage and one off the stage.
I would load the current photo into the movie clip on the stage(pictures.slides) and when that finishes I would load the next photo in the movie clip off the stage (pictures.preloadNextPhoto) so that it would already download the image and would load faster when the user clicks "Next". It doesn't work. I won't load the whole script in here, but this is the movieloader function with the meat of the functionality:

I want to be able to use the slideshow function when called from a button. I take it that this would be a simple case of calling the function onRelease or something similar... Also on a slightly different though smei related point, I am setting up a gallery using the XML gallery though am going to be using multiple gallery options so that once a user has chosen a gallery set it will load the appropriate XML file...
