I have recently created a php form in flash and created a simple page to display the text boxes in Flash version 8. It does not seem to work and I don't know what it could be that is stopping it from working properly.I heard it could be my web hosting company as I have a file called dead.letter in my server corresponding to it.I just thought if I post this someone could just have a sneak at my code for the flash and php too![code]

I have recently created a flash website and on the contact page i wanted to put a form that would send the information the put in directly to email. After creating the form and coding the flash code which is below i coded the php file and loaded it to my webserver to see if it worked (the webserver supports php scripts) I am not recieving any emails from the form can any one look over my code and tell me my problem.

I have a Flash webpage where I visually designed a Form. I have not been able to find how to give My form the generic capabilities of an HTML/CGI Submit-able Form. For clarity, I included (below) my Form code for my HTML Webpage. I went through the tutorial on creating the email form with php. I followed it and made my own movie, uploaded it to my webserver and tried it. I havent recieved and emails. Then I downloaded his source file and changed the email address in the php and uploaded it and Its still not working.

What I am trying to accomplish is creating a flash based form. Basically a form that people fill out if they want to book an event. so there would be several fields to fill out. Name, Date and Time of Event, Contact Number, ect. there would be text fields to fill out and combo boxes. I just want a simple form where people fill out that info, it makes sure that everything is filled out before submitting. then when you submit it, it sends the info to a master email... where we can check it and get the info. does any one know of anything similar that i can use as reference to help me accomplish this?

I am creating an order form for my flash site. I have never done this before in flash but I have in visual basic. I have a few questions:
1. Is assigning variable names to checkboxes and radio buttons the same as in visual basic? I mean i know that you probably assign them in the properties. ex..say i name a radio button 'radio1', to run a check in my actionscript whether radio1 was checked or not would it be something like if(radio1){}
2. After the person fills out the form I would like to have the results of the order sent to a pre-specified email adress in a certain format. What would be a good way to do this?

My mission here (and I'll try not to convolute it too much!) is to edit a flash based form from a decompiled SWF. The form's main purpose is to record user information in text fields, attach a file and email both to an external address using a few PHP scripts (I'm presuming) to dictate how the information is delivered. My problem is that SO THINK decompiler does not attach ACTIONSCRIPT to the layers and frame in the timeline, instead it exports each Action-script as a seperate .AC file. I have not yet been able to export an FLA that allows me to edit the scripts effectively, and am wondering if there is a more effective way to use a decompiler in this case, or if there is another solution to the problem.

I build signs for a living and I want to create an form that will calculate the cost of materials based on an initial size of the sign. I am at step one with the scripting after having laid out some input text fields for width, height, and area. The catch is this. I need the area text field (named A_txt) to calculate the width input text field (named W_txt) and height input text field (H_txt) and auto update A_txt as the numbers are inputed on the user side. The area text field will be the initial number for other calculations later in the form for determining the price of the customers sign.

I have a super involved and somewhat silly site I've been working on for a long time piecing together fragments of AS2 code and modifying them to the best of my limited ability.The site is here:http:[url]....I am finally adding the last steps, a series of contact forms with a PHP script in the back end. Anyway, I implemented a form script and have it triggered by clicking the "CONTACT" button you can see on the lower bar. So, click contact and once the form opens (an external SWF loaded into an MC), type away and everything works fine unless you use the letter "f" in either upper or lowercase. It causes the screen to flash and for the form input to lose focus.It works (in that you can enter everything normally -- the form doesn't function, but that's just the PHP which I have yet to edit.)

I am trying to create a simple form using Actionscript 3 that will collect data from a form, then pass that data to an asp file. I have attached the following code to the submit button,but this is not working.I'm not sure if I have to add anything else and I don't understand why this is not working. I am having some issues with a php email form that I am using in my AS3 project. the form works perfect and all communication is good.however when the user is on the page and wants to tab to the next text field it jumps to one of my hyperlinks on the same page and not to the next text field down on the php form.
is there any way to stop this from happening.I have tried placing the php form on a seperate layer in a seperate mc and I have done the same with the hyperlinks .you can see what I mean by visiting this development site.(after entering go to contact)http:[url].....

I have only two fields Name and Email in a Order form and a PayPal button for payment at PayPal ( into my account).I can do the mail portion but have no idea about PayPal code, however on search here I found one code and after pasting this one to the PayPal button it redirects to my PayPal account.But the question is anybody can post a message and leave the site without paying me. How can I do this thing so that the user will forced to pay before posting the mail form.

I'm struggling to get the form to to go to a new frame once the form button has been submitted. [URL]Using ActionScript 2.0 The submit button is at this following path:
Scene -> txt8 (MC) -> t8.1 (MC)
The button has the following code on:

The onClipEvent(data) is held on the movieClip txt8, as this is the clip that holds the all the form components.

The next from frame that i'm asking it to go to, is directly after the txt8 MovieClip. Both the the txt8 MovieClip and NextFrame have stop(); code on them.The form submits all the info into the database, I just can't get it to load the next frame.

I have an HTML form that I want to upload to MySQL with PHP. That part's easy, but the thing is I want the submit button to be a Flash object. Somehow I need the Flash button to submit the form, but I think I can figure that out. The tricky part is that I need it to set another PHP variable before submitting the form. The variable will be determined by a bunch of stuff, but I can code that in actionscript later. I just need to figure out how to pass the variable back to the webpage. A $_POST variable would probably be fine.
edit: What if the flash object returned some javascript and set a variable that way? making it submit the form as well while still catching a variable?

I have always wondered this functionality but would like to know what your approach is for this task:
Lets say a project requires three forms screens:
Screen 1 is user info
Screen 2 is product Survey
Screen 3 is Contact info
All three forms will be generated on runtime. So the application cycles starts with Screen 1 which has the usual user info fields such: First Name, Last Name, Email and until user fills in all three fields, application will now allow the user to go on the screen 2.
I have only dealth with one screen form and have never programmed a segmented form. I usually declare a BOOLEAN and set it to false and after making sure that all the fields are filled then the BOOLEAN Value is set to true and user is able to submit the form.
Now having to deal with 3 different forms, how do you handle such situation. Does one need to set Boolean value to false for each screen when the screen is initialized or loaded first?

I have noticed two differences between spark and mx forms which are causing me some problems. It seems by default the mx forms are arranged to the label is above the form input item. In Spark they are arranged next to each other. Also the label in spark forms are bold by default.For example MX code could be
