ActionScript 2.0 :: Disable SelectionColor In DataGrid?
Apr 26, 2010I don't want any color painted on the row I have selected in DataGrid, not even white or background color. Is there any code can do this kind of work?

Feb 24, 2010I want to get rid of the typical Flex roll-over color in list-based components, and to display my own style of roll-over rendering. Setting useRollOver to 'false' is not an option, since disabling that will also make the List.isItemHighlighted() function to always return false. My custom renderer relies on that function. Can it be so hard? Is there no way of setting that roll-over color to transparent? Is there some other way for my renderer to figure out if an item is highlighted?

But after that, if data values are changed in any row of datagrid, sorting is applied automatically. I have a datagrid with about 10 or more columns, say for example a few column names are: Item Id, Item Name, Item Status and VerifiedState. Initially I want the column Verified State to be disabled.
Now When the value of the column, Item Status is Review Passed for a particular row, I want the column VerifiedState to be enabled and editable. Is that possible in Flex datagrid.
Actionscript 3 :: Datagrid Freeze Pane / Always Show Column In Scrollable Datagrid
Feb 28, 2012I have a datagrid with some custom renderrers and I'm just curious how I should approach the ability to freeze and always show the left 3 most columns at all times when scrolling left/right.
I thought that I might have to resort to 2 datagrids, side-by-side, the first showing the 3 columns that I want at all times, and the ability to scroll the rest. Only issue then I guess is linking the row selection to select that row in both and to tie the column sorts together...
Or would it be better to try and take columns 4+ and shrink their width to 0 as a person scrolls right, and then increase it back to the max width as they scroll left? Though that would cause funny issues to happen as the content of the datagrid would get smaller and smaller until you were 100% to the right and the scrollbar would disappear.

Mar 15, 2010I am working on a problem since a week soon, but I still couldn't make it work as expected. I have a DataGrid which has HBox with a CheckBox an a Label as itemRenderer (see Code below). When I tap in to the Cell the standard itemEditor pops up and lets you enter the content of the label. Thats the standard behavior. I works fine except for 2 problems:
If I enter to much text, the horizontal srollbar pops up, and the cell is filled with that scrollbar. As you see I tried to set the horizontalScrollPolicy to off, but that doesnt work at all... I tried to do that for all the different elements, but the failure is still existent. When I have filled more than one row, there is an other mistake happening. If I tap on a row, the datagrid selects the one below that row. That's only if one line is already selected. If I tap outside the datagrid and then, tap at any row the itemEditor of the right row will show up... Is there anything now wright in the setup of my set data method?

Feb 4, 2010I am attempting to style the headers in a flex datagrid and I keep getting the warning:

What does this mean? I have gone through a bunch of tutorials and none of them have worked. It seems like changing a the colors in a datagrid should be relatively simple.

May 13, 2011in Flex I have something like that: [code]and dg is ALWAYS pointing at DataGrid (even if dg1 has name DataGrid_test and dg2 = DataGrid_test2) and finally action is made on my first DataGrid (DataGrid_test).[code]and search still points at ColorColumn :/ My problem is really easy- I just want to pass to search different dataGrid on each state.But still I don't understand why it doesn't work. My search function uses algorhitm Boyer-Moor for searching through dataGrid.dataProvider for some text. If it find something then it is pushed into new array and after passing whole dataProvider I colorize rows with searched word.

Feb 7, 2011Does anybody know how to disable TLF in CS5, specifically, on import of an AI file?
When I import an .ai file into Flash, I want the text to come in as classic text becasue the TLF is to memory intensive and makes my application unusable (the application is very font heavy).
Right now, my workaround is to produce the assets of the file in CS4 and then open it with and convert to CS5. This is fine for the initial build, but is a pain when I need to make updates to the file.
MX Disable All Buttons?
Jun 9, 2009Is there a way to use ActionScript to disable all buttons in a movie at the start of the movie (or at any given time in the movie), and then re-enable them at a certain time? I'm using Flash MX (only version I have access to), and I know how to get to the ActionScript panel and use it for basic things like stopping/playing a movie or jumping to a certain frame, but I haven't figured out much about ActionScript beyond that.
(btw, what version of ActionScript does Flash MX have?

Feb 3, 2010On the root, I have a movieclip (input). Within it is 1 frame of codes (well, 2 layers, each with 1 frame of code...).
Alongside on the root, I have another movieclip (banana), which has a stack of animation within... the first frame within is labelled "main".
What I wanted was that if banana's current frame was main, then input is untouched (enabled). If banana's current frame WASN'T main, then input is disabled ENTIRELY (everything within is disabled as well, especially the frames of code).
What I have tried was applying this code on a frame on the root timeline:

I looked up some things and they said that enabled false or true only applies directly to the movieclip, and leaves all codes within the MC untouched.
ActionScript 3.0 :: AIR App - Disable .swf
Jun 13, 2009I've made an AIR Application. It definitely has a .swf file. Running the .swf file alone works till a point where user tries to press keys like A, S, D, etc from the keyboard which will not be detected as the .swf if running using a flash player. So inorder to avoid such problem I'd not allow the users to run the .swf file natively. Only if the .exe is clicked it must run. So is there any functions that implement this??
