how to make a textbox that when a line of text is inputed, it doesnt overwrite whats already in the textbox, but instead goes to the next line.example:

For example user inputed his name. It is saved, but when he comes again he always needs to input at least first latter of his name. so I wonder - how to make Yahoo astra autocompletemanager component to pop up last inputed into it value on application creation complete?

how you start a new line in an output text. The reason I'm asking is since I'm making a quiz game and some of the questions / answers are to long for the text box and instead of making a new line by them selves they just continue outside the box.
The code in question looks like this _root.Question = "What colour is the sky in the day?"; and I would for example want to start a new line after "is".

i have other two textboxes instence Name txt2 and txt3 i want that the first line (only first line) show in the txt2 and rest of the contents in txt1 show in the txt3.

View 1 RepliesI have this information that is pulled in from a PHP database and displayed in a textfield within flash which works fine BUT when I go to copy and paste that text into another textfield (a note facility) it then means I can't make a line break. I've tried all sorts with the text field and can't see any reason why it wouldn't allow it. Is there something about different text formats that mucks it up?

in Flash CS4 I have static text like: Line1 and line2 It's in 9 point Arial Regular as a device font. If I set the line spacing below 3.9 the second line dissappears from the compiled SWF file. It still shows in the FLA file. The same thing happens at 6pt but NOT at 5pt or less.

View 5 RepliesWhen a Dynamic Multiple line text field is used in Flash CS3, it has a very annoying feature that auto inserts a line break at the end of inserted text. It also auto inserts a line break if no text is entered too.
I'm having a problem with this because the text is being saved from flash to a text file on the desktop. With every multi-line text field there's a nasty looking line break.
Any way of "turning off" this auto-line-break-at-the-end feature?

I have made one box that works the way it should, and now I'm about to make several boxes that looks similar (different size/different text though). Is there a way of doing a division with a remainder instead of a decimal? The best I could think of was splitting the whole number and the decimal and then multiplying the decimal by whatever it was originally divided by. If that is the best way, how would I find the whole number, if I round it, it might go up instead of down, which I don't want.

My goal is making a navigation section that is a scrollable box. I thought the easiest solution was to make a dynamic text box and put a scroll bar on it. Worked until it came time to make the links. It is only letting me make one link for all the text. Also I think I want more control for the mouseover look.
