I've been playing around and still can't get this to work. My thumbnail gallery is loaded dynamically using xml and I have a link included with each thumbnail but can't seem to get it to work to load the link with each thumnail.In xml I have:

I just was notified by a web viewer using Internet Explorer that some of my site functionality is no longer working properly in their browser. Depending on the frame of the inner movie clip, the button goes to different html pages. This has always worked before, but perhaps now needs a workaround due to recent IE updates. A secondary problem i might also mention, has recently caused troubles in IE as well. I have an image on a page with a javascript link to open a swf file in a new window. This works fine in Firefox, but comes up with a page not found in IE, where it had previously worked.

I'm working on a masthead for a site, which uses the simple getURL command to load a page on the same site, code is:

getURL("link.html", "_top");
}
Now, this works fine in all browser with JS enabled, but when JS is disabled in Chrome and Safari it does nothing. Strangely enough, if the target is "_blank" it works.I've tried all 4 different targets, as well as using a variable to hold the link.

The green bit is a CFM variable, which contains something like flash/flash_images/image.jpg
So how can I do this from flash? I KNOW it can be done. It must be possible, someone please help me. The thing that seems to stuff it up to me is the fact that I have to enclose the getURLs URL parameter in quotes, so flash doesnt evaluate the variable.

I've since given up trying to use getURL and I'm simply trying to trace the variable instead. The form consists of a text box w/ instance name "email_txt" and a button w/ instance name "btnSignUp." the actionscript is placed on the button.

I am not able to bind the Bindable variable dbl to my textInput. Using the debugger, I am able to see that the result is assigned successfully to variable dbl, but it is not able to bind it to the text of view1. I see a NaN displayed in the text of view1.

I work with Flash Pro allmost 11 hours per day and every while i get a error which messes up everything. Approximetly i get this after about 2-3 hours withevery project.After i get this error there is no chance to test movies afterwards.I see a fast flash of the loader window but it dissapears so fast i cant even really see if it is loader.

I get "unable to make connection with server or unable to find flv on server" when I try to play the video. But the video and audio files are all in the same directory and the mp3 files play fine. I think I'm having a problem with the setMedia command. Here's the code that loads the video and audio files.

I've created a 'flashvars' tag in my embed code (aid=test), which I simply wish to add to the end a GetUrl statement, contained in within a button (which is on the first level of the flash movie). This is the code I've added to the button...
