ActionScript 3.0 :: Create Installer For Flash App Where Content Is Distributed By Chapter?

I wanted to create an application installer (per chapter) like the one implemented on the product on this site:[url]...i have no problem creating flash apps but i'm so lost on making installers , like update installers for the same app.. the idea is that on first installation of my app, other contents are not available until the user downloads it from my site and install it on their pc. and that installer will just update the existing one with the new downloaded content.

How can i create native installer for windows, MAC and linux, which will check the system if air runtime is not install in the user system then installer will 1st install the AIR runtime and then the AIR application.
Do we need to use any third party software to achicve this?
For checking system wether the AIR runtime is install or not Do we need to write custom script or installer will automatically get things done.

In the past I have used PPro CS4 and Encore to create a DVD of clips which I show to clients. Each clip has a chapter mark so that I can jump quickly to the start of each clip. I now want to make a big Flash file of all the clips, with chapter marks which I can quickly jump to. But when I create the file from PPro, I get all the clips in one nice big file, but with no chapter marks. If I create it from Encore, it cuts the file into lots of little Flash files, the cutting points being the chapter marks. How can I create one big Flash file consisting of all the little clips, but with chapter marks which I can jump to?

I have an application developed in Falsh (EXE) that is to be distributed on CD-Rom and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on protecting the application from copying.Is there a way within the dev environment I can "stamp" it to prevent copying, or another technique?I don't mean using getDate(), getMonth(), getFullYear(), etc.I have used this to create an expiry date on versions that are being distributed, which then shows an out of date message (which can be easily worked around with the system clock unfortunately).But I wish to protect the disk from being copied, and wondered if there was any techniques from within Flash to do so.Glass mastering and watermarking is not viable as it'll only be a very small duplication run (10, maybe 20 disks).Alternatively, are there any stable utilities that anyone has used (and recommends), prior to me investigating available commercial copy protection software?

Quite simply, is there a way to put a custom image in the installer of an AIR application, for example to the left.
I'm using .air-installers, which I need to preserve because of updating functionality. I create them with Flash Builder 4.5 + Flex 4.5.1 (AIR 2.6)

iSo let's say I have three different arrays of objects, and I want to combine them into one sorted array. I want the order to be such that the items from each array are evenly distributed throughout the sorted array.
If there were 3 xItems, 3 yItems, and 3 zItems, the sorted array would have this order: x, y, z, x, y, z, x, y, z
HOWEVER, even if the arrays are differing lengths, I still need to make them alternate as much as possible. If there were 6 xItems, 4 yItems, and 2 zItems, the sorted array should have this order: x, y, x, y, x, z, x, y, x, y, x, z

I have made a flash player that get the movie from a seperate server. There are also some slideshows that depending on time in the movie chances so the pictures are relevant with what you are watching., this pictures chanses with the from a xml file. I would now also like a Combobox that works as a chapter selecter. I have "made" the combobox and the text that i have in the xml shows up however now i cant get the combobox to work

Air allows for seamless installs (aka, "badge installs") from the browser, as well as launching an Air app from the browser. Air 2.0 has the Native Process API, which requires packing the app as an .exe/.dmg rather than a .air file. My question: does the badge install process support seamless installation of native Air installers?

When you export a release build of an air app, it creates an .AIR file, that you can then double-click. When you do so, it asks you if you want to "Add shortcut icon to my desktop" and "Start application after installation".
I need to call specific ActionScript within my AIR application if and only if it was launched by the installer (the 2nd checkbox was selected) - As opposed to the user re-running it from the start menu after having installed it.
How can I detect this within my program?

I'm using the flvplayback component for my video player. i have additional buttons that seek to navigation cue points embedded in the video. all of it works, but i would also like to highlight the button of the current section of the video.i tried adding an event cue point just after the navigation cue points that triggered a movie clip to switch frames based on which event cue point it passes and that works as it should, but the problem is when a user clicks in the seek bar they can potentially skip the event cue point of that section, thus not triggering the movie clip to go to the appropriate frame. possible to put an event listener on the seek bar and then find the previous cue point?

I have a main swf movie that loads other swfs into into level 1. The first is "intro.swf", next is "01.swf", "02.swf" and so forth... At the end of "introl.swf" the last frame says: [AS]loadMovieNum("01.swf", 1);[/AS] ... and it just goes through the rest of the loadable movies throughout playback... no problem. In my main swf, I have playback controls... I want to be able to control the swfs in a next chapter and previous chapter manner, so that I can skip to the next chapter at the press of a button....

When I open internet explorer I get a window that says adobe flash player installer/uninstaller 10.1 r82 has stopped working. It will not load the homepage or if it does it open it I am unable to navigate away from it. I have tried to deactivate flash but that didn't help either. I have downloaded and installed all windows updates. I have run a virus scan.

I'm trying to follow this page to launch my AIR native installer application from the browser using "browser invocation"I've loaded the 'badge' sample app into a new "Flex Project (Web)", and made the appropriate changes to the 'AIRBadge.as' file. But I can't seem to use FlashBuilder 4.5 to compile a new 'badge.swf' file which includes my changes.

So web is full of articles on bada (1.2) not having fp9 or having only flash lite 4, or only 3.1... So wikipedia talls us about full FP9 support. I wonder have any one trued to create a widget for Bada (1.2) with FP9 inside? Is it possible ore flash lite 3.1 is limit for widget?

I have recently created a game in Flash CS3 with AS3 which displays a random picture (this is a pretty integral part of the game).I have written a small procedure to resize the picture to an appropriate size for the flash application. This is as follows:

This resizes the picture when it is fully loaded. This seems to work fine on my own site, but on the sites to which mochi ads has distributed it, it doesn't resize the image at all, even if it is left to fully load.
