I am developing a flash+flickr application for iphone and ipad.
I have the following error when I try to access to flickr server.
SecurityError: Error #3207: Application-sandbox content cannot access this feature.
I have tried: Security.allowDomain("*", "api.flickr.com");But, it doesn't work ...Do you have any suggestion o idea that I would have to do?
I've been creating a fla that reads an XML file, that tells which swf to import.Finally got that all working and put it on the local network at work, only to get a sanbox error. It seems for some people the main fla will work for people, but the xml isn't loading the content. I've read some about having to include a domain in the xml, giving permission to domains named. The problem I'm having trouble with is what do I do for a local network? And were going to be sending it to other people who will be running it on their local computers or their office networks.

When I run the application locally, it works! However, when I upload it to my server I get a sandbox security error (#2048). The flash app is actually hosted on the same server as the socket server, and there is cross domain policy file in place.
I built this nifty little weather/clock app as a way of learning to work with API's and incorporates both the yahoo weather api and the flickr api. Now that it is in functioning order, I decided I would port it over to a playbook app via a Flash Builder 4.4 ActionScript Mobile project. I was able to get it installed on the playbook simulator just fine however when the app launched it showed a blank stage. After several hours of research I determined it was a runtime error.After several more hours of research I found it was a security error when making a call out to the flickr api. The debugger reports the following error:

I am trying to develop a sound visualizer and i have developed OO solution but the problem is I get this error:
SecurityError: Error #2121: Security sandbox violation: SoundMixer.computeSpectrum: widget5.swf cannot access . This may be worked around by calling Security.allowDomain.

I have a Flash application with one scene, three frames and a bunch of ActionScript code to provide a number of ExternalInterface hooks. The three frames contain a single Input Text box which, as the <embed> tag is resized using JavaScript, grows and shrinks (not scales) to fit. I now want to add the ability to zoom in/out of this application, for enlarging small text on screen without increasing the text point size. I thought this would be easy using the Javascript Zoom(percent) method of the Flash object, but this doesn't work because my ActionScript code contains:

I suspect I need to take the entire movie as I have it now, and put it inside a movie clip, add a zoom ExternalInterface call which somehow scales the movieClip, and move the External Inteterface methods I have now from the new Movie Clip outside to the stage... but this sounds like a near complete rewrite? Will this method even work? Is there a better way?
I have created a crosdomain policy file, I have added code to my flex app, and I still get security sandbox violation...have I done something wrong? Here are my errors and file snippets:

I have heard about Flash Builder 4.5.1.As I have understood, one can make an application using Flex with the Flash Builder 4.5.1 and also exported the release build for iOS, Android and Blackberry.

I'm using Flash CS3 Pro. and actionscript 2.0 for my flash documents.I have a flashfileA.swf which is a picture of a rotation shoe (view here)it has a slider bar that calls the action to zoom while rotating. if you checked it out, it works fine.

so I have flashfileB.swf that I load that flashfileA.swf into. Initially, I was getting pages of pages of "Security Sandbox Violations".

in flashfileB.swf and that seemed to get rid of all of the violations but the slider doesn't zoom the shoe when I'm using it in flashfileB.swf I need to get the zoom to work while it's loaded within flashfileB.swf and I'm assuming it has to do with the way I coded it.
Some users are unable to access any of our video content, getting a Server Not Found error.We have our FMS configured to use ports 1935, 433, 80. Our firewall is allowing RTMP traffic to each of these ports. Is there something more I can do from my end to make sure users can access our FMS?

I'm having trouble with an AS3 AMF RemoteObject request that is hosted on App Engine. I have a crossdomain.xml file in the root of the domain, and also one at the remoting endpoint.Here are the contents of the root crossdomain.xml:

Loading the swf file and testing it on my machine works just fine... I think that may have something to do with me having the debugger version of Flash Player. When I push it up to App Engine to make it public, other clients access it and get a Client.Error.MessageSend Channel.Security.Error error Error #2048 url: http:[url].......I am using Flex 4 beta, and the App Engine Python runtime. I have tried full wildcard in the crossdomain, and even accessing the data endpoint at a relative URL so as to avoid this error.
Got a flash application that connects to a server. When I run the flash application from within Adobe Flash it connects no problem. When I try to run it from IE from the web it gives an error 2048. Now the interesting thing is that the server I connect to from flash is showing the flash application connects briefly then disconnects. View 18 RepliesI am using loadVars to load an url from a txt file and then passing that to another loadVars.When I test the movie it gives me a security sandbox error,but if I type in the url by hand it works just fine.

1. I have used Security.allowDomain(url...); in the source code
2. This was working fine the day before last.I have tried adding a crossdomain.xml file in the folder where I build the player, still no joy. I tried throughout yesterday to fix it to no avail. I've even tried installing and building the player on a different machine to double check there wasn't something wrong on my PC.

In the main file, when I click a movie_button, the movie_ swf file is loaded, but the movie swf_file uses an xml file which contains the url of thumbnails and videos which are located and addressed on my server. We have an application that works no problems on our server with FMS in test mode. As soon as we enter our FMS license key we get this error: "application is not a valid signed application loading access denied".We removed the license key and it works again, but with user limits obviously, so this is not an acceptable fix.

I am trying to connect to a public resource using actionscript. I already have a PHP site set up to do this, but wanted to move it to Flash. From what I have read, Flash absolutely requires the destination location to have a crossdomain.xml file referencing the remote SWF. This seems absolutely ridiculous.
If I am correct, this means that public resources such as RSS feeds cannot be accessed using Flash? Is there any possible way to access a public file (like RSS) remotely from a SWF without having access to the destination server's crossdomain.xml file? I've tried using Socket and URLRequest, both giving the same "sandbox violation" error.
