Jul 23, 2010I'm trying to create a little slideshow with photos. I created a little animation on every photo (a really subtle zoom-in or zoom-out effect) and transition using alpha transparency.
But some photos will flicker very bad. Expecially photos containing elements like grids or straight lines. Only really blurred pictures will render well.
I already raised FPS up to 60 but flicker still occurs.
I'm using flash8. Will another flash version (which?) render the movie in a better way?

Aug 11, 2010I purchased a template website that has a flash banner which rotates three photos.I was able to get my own photos into the flash but I don't know how to have each photo be a different hyper link.Also the flash template has a next and previous button to cycle through the photos but I would like the photos to move automatically but again don't know how to do that.

Jan 20, 2009I am making a player that adds an advertisement before a video but don't want the user to be able to skip though the ad. I am using the progress component and an FLV Playback component for my player. I had tried to just hide the progress bar but it looks unbalanced. If anyone has an idea on how to make it so a user can not fast forward though the ad by dragging the scrubber that would be great.

Jan 21, 2010I'm having a problem with a button that should change the mouse pointer to an arrow when clicking it and, after while, turn it back to a hand cursor. I use the Button.useHandCursor method to acheive this. This works fine in the Flash IDE, but when testing in a browser, the mouse pointer won't change back to the hand unless i move the mouse. I've tried a LOT of stuff, including updateAfterEvent without any success.

Nov 3, 2007I'm not new to AS, but not very comfortable or good at it yet. I've got a dilema that I don't know how to resolve or how to go about doing. I'm trying to get a disperse/move away effect with some MCs. I've got several similar but unique MCs on the stage. Upon clicking them, they will each popup some text. Now, upon rollover of any the MCs I want the surronding MCs to disperse or move away. Upon rollout they should go back into place. I've searched for ways to do this but have been unsuccessful.

Mar 14, 2010I realize you can make one of each effect, set the same target, and hit .play();, but this produces weird results (acknowledged by Adobe, fixed in Flex 4). I'm trying to have an object move from the top of the screen to the bottom while it rotates around it's own center. When called independently, both of these effects work perfectly. When called together, the object always rotates around the top left corner. I even tried putting them both inside a <Parallel> tag with no success.

Feb 5, 2011I am animating a number of items using the Move effect. I am adding each item to an array after it has been added to the display list and once all items are added calling the play method, passing an array of the items to it. Only the last item plays in my animation.

Feb 23, 2009I am trying to make a scrubber that will allow me to scrub through the root time line which has streaming audio on it. I have created audio players before where the file was being streamed in from an external file, but have not dealt with it ever being on the timeline.

It works pretty well, however, there is a problem. When I scrub the bar, the audio stops playing. I am assuming it is related to the enterframe function, but I am not sure on how to correct the code.

Jul 20, 2009I followed a couple of tuts and I have the gallery working, but I would like it to have a preloader, so I added a basic one to the first 2 frames of the root and moved gallery movieclip and controller to the 3rd frame.the preloader works and the movie goes to frame 3 but then my controller(scrubber) for my gallery doesnt work, in the code there is nothing refering to the _root just _parent so I am not sure where the problem is. I'm having a few issues with the scrubber and the load bar, they loadbar starts in the middle and stretches out towards the sides and the scrubber starts in the middle and runs off the end?
