Jul 22, 2009Basically I have a 2 swf files. Within the main swf i have a button that I want to call in a second swf when it is clicked. The code I have for this looks as below..

The problem I am having is that when I enter the code and "Check Syntax" no errors appear, however when I preview the published swf and click the button, i get the following message....Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found.
To me this would seem to say that the swf I am trying to call in is not in the appropriate folder, but both of the files are in the same folder.

Dec 4, 2009I've created some error handling for external images loaded via a path in XML. Within the Flash preview it's fine and shows the full error message (and most importantly, the URL that isn't loading).
But in the browser, even locally, it doesn't out put this message!

Text Loses Style When Published?
Jul 10, 2009I have a project that consists of 11 invisible buttons laid over a map of a building; when the user mouses over a "room," the name of the room appears. The building map is on an angle so I rotated and skewed the button text to match the map. All the text looks fine within each button symbol, but when published 4 or 5 of them lose their skew...the rotation seems to still be intact.

ActionScript 1/2 :: Swf Dynamic Text Turns From Horizontal To Vertical When Published?
Aug 24, 2011I've got a two year old site (ww.pantelco.be/coaching.html) and something odd happened today. I had to change something in the fla, tested the swf and uploaded it to the server. When I test the swf in flash or just open it manually, all is fine, texts are okay.But whenever it's in a htmlpage (using swfobject), all the multiline textfields turn from horizontal to vertical expanding text, so a large column of 1 character.
Even my backup site acts the same way. It's driving me crazy.
I installed a couple of new browsers a couple of days ago, and I remember I had to update my flashplayer. Maybe thsi is relevant? I just don't know. Texts are loaded through xmls - well, they load alright, but they don't show up the right way.

Jul 15, 2010which everything seems fine, but when i implement a slider on a page inside a folder in the root (i.e. aboutus/index.aspx) i get that error when the slider is trying to call the images.I have similar slider animations in pages located in the root folder and in those i get no problem at all, seems it only happens when the page is located inside a folder.The website is done using main.master on asp, maybe the cache or rendering of the website is missing something, hope someone has had something similar or know how to get around this.

What I need from this code is the following:
a. to pick up the mic activity level, read it, and based on the number put out a line
b. it to be kept to a minute, after the minute the screen is cleared and it plays back the lines and sounds that had been generated.
c. that nothing appears when the mic.activityLevel is 0
d.that when lines hit each other, a sound is made
I don't care if there is no playback, but right now I can't even get the lines to appear and I need the sounds to play when the lines hit each other.
Flex :: Text Htmltext Missing Out/cutting The Full Html Text?
Feb 12, 2011I am trying to implement htmlText for a text component as the returned string is in html format (with the html tags etc). If I put a text=.... i get the full text, but with the tags (which i want converted to html). So i use htmlText=.... and it formats it fine, but cuts half the text from the variable. The text im supposed to get back has tons of html tags, and maybe its cutting it somewhere because of the tag its not able to escape... How do i fix this?

Feb 24, 2009I'm making a system to upload photos to a gallery. I'm using filereference, and it's working alright. I can upload like 20 files fine sometimes.. but when I do like 50, it starts giving me errors on over half the files.
The error is: Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2038: File I/O Error.
This may be a php error, or server error, I'm not sure. Because the file isn't even uploading at all.

Mar 13, 2009I have an swf that sends info to a PHP file which in turn gets a SWF to FLV converter running. If I try this with a small 1kb swf file it works great and returns the results with in 5 seconds.However now that I step it up to convert the files in which it was intended, files ranging around 2 mbs, I get this error..

Nov 21, 2011I have a Android Actionscript project that I am trying to incorporate sound in, but having a problem that I cannot figure out. I have the sound file in the same directory as my class file and my .xfl file. I am trying to start the music file as soon as the application starts via class reference, but am getting the same error everytime:

May 1, 2009I'm learning AS3 and Flash CS4 right now and I'm trying to do what I have been doing in AS2 for years and I'm having some problems I'm trying to make a Full-Browser Flash site and upon resizing the screen I get an error #1009.I am able to to resize the mc's on the screen without a problem, but once I add simple interactivity, I get an error upon resizing the window.To duplicate this problem,I'm sure I'm doing something very stupid, but I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Apr 6, 2012I'm developing an app that displays swf's inside a webview. My problem (ICS 4.0.3 only) , is that whenever I click the full screen button inside the swf the app displays a black screen for a couple of seconds and then crashes.I've tested the same code with lower api's (10) and it works fine.
Facts:
1- ICS 4.0.3 - SWF in full screen inside webview crashes.
2- ICS 4.0.3 - SWF in full screen inside regular browser works.

Dec 6, 2010I need to load photos dynamically from photobucket using flash and xml. I can load the XML data which has the full url address of the photo I need to load but I get Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found. Whats weird is the only test image I can get to work is the google logo. I'm lost on this one I've done this before with out a problem and now for some reason I cant get rid of this error. Also I can not host the photos on the same file as the swf so using a local address is out the window for me.
