I have created a widget. Its working alright in all other sites except [URL] I'm getting "sandbox error 2146" while executing "navigateToURL" method.

I get following error: Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: [URL] cannot load data from 192.168.3.5:4854. at TicTacToe_fla::MainTimeline/TicTacToe_fla::frame1() ". I'm a total noob using the Facebook Graph API for AS3. I have a Flash game and the idea is to upload it to Facebook, and everything seems to be ok (When entering the Facebook app, the swf shows perfectly and I'm able to post the facebook user id, the user name and the score to a database in the server where the game is located. I intend the game to automatically post to the user feed what he/she had score, but after making a lot of tests I found out that the method is simply not running.[code]

This works well, but now I'd like to extend the user.php, so that players can add comments about each other. For authorization I'd like to use HTTP cookies, passed from the game.swf to the user.php. (I don't want use GET or POST here, because GET will have the auth. variables in the URL and players might occasionaly send that URL around or post it in my forum. And POST will ask to re-post the request when you reload).
There are many times that I've needed to execute some code after a number of events have fired, and I've come up with counters and such but I feel there must be a better way.For example, say five files need to be loaded, after which a UI component will become active.If I set up a counter that increments each time a file is requested, then decrements each time one has loaded, I run the risk that the first two or three files may somehow get completely loaded before my code gets around to requesting the fourth and fifth, which would mean that my counter would be at zero when I still have two files to load, thus allowing the UI component to be prematurely activated.
There are some cases where you could know the number that need to be loaded before the requests go out, but it's possible that the first file contains the paths (and therefore the number of) files.And this file-loading scenario is only an example of the pattern I'm trying to explain.)
I have created a crosdomain policy file, I have added code to my flex app, and I still get security sandbox violation...have I done something wrong? Here are my errors and file snippets:

When i am running my file locally it runs well but when it runs from a server, it throws an error

I googled a lot. I found a solution of cross domain policy funda but i am not clear with it. Anybody has ideas of getting rid of this problem..?
I really need to send a variable via POST method to an URL and the navigate to it. navigateToURL sends variables using GET method, although I specified POST. URLLoader sends variables using POST method, but does not navigate to the URL.

Can someone explain how the cross-domain policy file works? Like, do I need to place the policy file on the same server as my .swf or on the server with the influxis account?Influxis has a admin panel where you can set a referring domain, do I just enter the domain of my .swf file?Also, do I have to add actionscript to my .swf file to access the policy file?

View 4 RepliesI'm having trouble with an AS3 AMF RemoteObject request that is hosted on App Engine. I have a crossdomain.xml file in the root of the domain, and also one at the remoting endpoint.Here are the contents of the root crossdomain.xml:

Loading the swf file and testing it on my machine works just fine... I think that may have something to do with me having the debugger version of Flash Player. When I push it up to App Engine to make it public, other clients access it and get a Client.Error.MessageSend Channel.Security.Error error Error #2048 url: http:[url].......I am using Flex 4 beta, and the App Engine Python runtime. I have tried full wildcard in the crossdomain, and even accessing the data endpoint at a relative URL so as to avoid this error.
I am getting an error which says
"ArgumentError: Error #1063: Argument count mismatch on bingo_game9_AS3_fla::MainTimeline/get_link(). Expected 0, got 1."
When trying to access a web page from Flash. The movie clip on the stage is called "link_mc" btn_over, btn_out etc. works fine. It just changes the size of the mc when mouse is over using functions elsewhere.
I'm learning AS3 and getting a null error on my navigateToURL code. The URL is being pulled from XML. The source file is attached as a .zip and it's a great carousel if I can get it to work.

When I try to run it from IE from the web it gives an error 2048. Now the interesting thing is that the server I connect to from flash is showing the flash application connects briefly then disconnects. View 18 RepliesI'm working on a website in php made for local Thai people. The website somehow uses links with Thai characters in them. The problem is when I click the link in flash it navigates to instead of "http://localhost/THAI TEXTS-108-0-region-3.html". When I tested this with Internet Explorer, it understands the unicode text in a link and navigate me to the correct link. In fact the flash understands the thai unicode characters because when I tried to create a dynamic text field, it could print out the correct thai characters on the flash.So it seems to be that this is the problem with flash failing to talk to Firefox API. I'm guessing either URLRequest object or navigateToURL function does not take unicode texts

I am using loadVars to load an url from a txt file and then passing that to another loadVars.When I test the movie it gives me a security sandbox error,but if I type in the url by hand it works just fine.

1) this works when I do publish it on the web, does not work when I open the HTML file as file://

View 1 RepliesI've been creating a fla that reads an XML file, that tells which swf to import.Finally got that all working and put it on the local network at work, only to get a sanbox error. It seems for some people the main fla will work for people, but the xml isn't loading the content. I've read some about having to include a domain in the xml, giving permission to domains named. The problem I'm having trouble with is what do I do for a local network? And were going to be sending it to other people who will be running it on their local computers or their office networks.

I have a problem when I try to compile my player, I get the following error:

1. I have used Security.allowDomain(url...); in the source code
2. This was working fine the day before last.I have tried adding a crossdomain.xml file in the folder where I build the player, still no joy. I tried throughout yesterday to fix it to no avail. I've even tried installing and building the player on a different machine to double check there wasn't something wrong on my PC.
I am running into an issue with passing variables from Actionscript 3 to PHP.This is a very basic program just for testing purposes to find out if this will work.Here is the Actionscript 3 coding (One button named 'btn_Submit' and one text box named 'txt_User' are on the stage).This is a very simple attempt to input text into an 'Input Text Box', upon pressing a submit button, it should pass the text to a php file named 'test.php'.The .swf file and the test.php files are both located in the same directory on my webserver (main directory for subdomain 'www.testing.budgetmylife.net')For the URLRequest parameter, I have even tried just ("test.php"), without success:

In the main file, when I click a movie_button, the movie_ swf file is loaded, but the movie swf_file uses an xml file which contains the url of thumbnails and videos which are located and addressed on my server.
