I am trying to make a form in flash for the web. I have all my dynamic text boxes working and sending to an external email account. I want to have a person be able to upload an jpg to the form.

The input works, scrolling arrows work. View 7 RepliesI have a super involved and somewhat silly site I've been working on for a long time piecing together fragments of AS2 code and modifying them to the best of my limited ability.The site is here:http:[url]....I am finally adding the last steps, a series of contact forms with a PHP script in the back end. Anyway, I implemented a form script and have it triggered by clicking the "CONTACT" button you can see on the lower bar. So, click contact and once the form opens (an external SWF loaded into an MC), type away and everything works fine unless you use the letter "f" in either upper or lowercase. It causes the screen to flash and for the form input to lose focus.It works (in that you can enter everything normally -- the form doesn't function, but that's just the PHP which I have yet to edit.)

the USERNAME value is for me to add my formbuddy username after i have signed up with [URL] .Now my problem is that i dont know how to put the hidden fields in flash, especially the <input type="hidden" name="username" value="USERNAME">. So how do i do it? And yes, i have seen all the tutorials they have here about the form mailers. I also tryed to put the the hidden fields has variables in flash which again did'nt work....

I'm editing a flash template for a client - and AI can't seem to export the movie and make the contact form work. When I open up the default file from the provider - I get this output message:Forms Component - Version 0.81Couldn't load configuration.Even if I don't touch the contact page - it will never work when I export it for the web. I've been talking with the template help-desk for weeks, and they keep saying "it works for us".

It would need at least 10 editable text boxes and then I would need to have a way to save it and publish it to the website. (The client would be the only one editing so I don't really know what to do as he doesn't have any of the Adobe tools used to edit the site)
1) How do I make an editable form?
2) After the site is finished my client will need to keep adding things, is this possibe or will he have to send the files to me and haveme edit the site myself?
3) How do I make it so my client will be the only one who can edit this?
is it possible to make an email form work offline? I had it working with PHP but now the whole thing is wanted to be used offline, so.. tried to Google, but no luck with that. It doesn't have to be an email form actually, sending data to a text/xml file works just as well.
View 4 RepliesI have been posting some threads about parts of this problem and finally i am able to make the stars successfully form what i have set-up in their movieClip, but only once.The problem now is that i am trying to make the stars follow this list of actions:Spread the stars initially and then make them form the existing form in the movieClip(works);Change the frame in the movieclip to anoBelow i will have the code explained and show where i think i have my issue:Create the Position x and y arrays and Spread the stars

So i want to make a form which people can use to get price quotes immediately. There will be about 15 fields. I have 'some' clue as to how this 'might' be done. The 'if' statement could be used. But that sounds like a lot of combinations and a lot of scripting. I would also like them to be able to send the form to my email if they want.
Now i know how to script the basic forms.. eg. contact forms.. etc. with php and all. So once they've selected specific info from the fields, i'm sure i can have it sent into my inbox. But I don't get how to do the main thing (the price quote display - according to the information selected). Will it have to be XML based? Something to do with a database? Or what?
i am having a problem with the combobox component.i have a mysql database with a student and a class table.i want to make a registration form for the student. i have the combobox here where he picks his class (populated from the class table). The class_id is a foreign key to the student table and it's invisible in the combobox. i want when the students registers from his selection on the combobox to write in the database the corresponding class_id.
