ActionScript 3.0 :: Permit The External Communication: Security.allowDomain
Sep 27, 2010
I have a small problem with the security function. I have made a small banner there post a titel from a RRS feed. The RSS feed coms form extern domain. When I run the banner local it's work out perfect, but online it dosent works I use this code to permit the externe communication: Security.allowDomain([URL]);
I've got a Flash movie, loading data from an external URL. In fact, it's a RSS reader inside a banner.Everything works perfectly when the Flash movie and data URL are on the same domain. However, if the Flash movie is on another domain, Flash security kicks in.The manual says that I can allow a domain trough Security.AllowDomain()
system.Security.allowDomain("http://www.mydomain.abc/") xmlData = new XML(); xmlData.ignoreWhite = true;
But when I got to my movie, I get: Security sandbox violation: LoaderInfo.content:[URL]cannot access [URL]. This may be worked around by calling Security.allowDomain Am I missing something? Does it not work with wildcards?I like AS3, but I really think they screwed up up the security model... and URLRequests...
Our partners are requiring that we display a news.swf in our flash app outside of its domain. This is causing a mess of sandbox violations. The loaded news.swf is more or less a black box although I dug around in a flash decompiler and what looks like the document class has:
This is also in the constructor of client.swf. I should also note that client.swf is embedded in client.html. So client.swf is loading news.swf and adding it to the display list. Once it is added to the stage it starts spitting out a handful of errors. Run on my local file system:
This is a two fold query involving the same issue. As you know, if you attempt to use bitmap.draw() with an object (image or swf) that is not in the same domain as the calling swf the bitmap will not draw. As described by Adobe livedocs, if Security.allowDomain() is setup in the calling swf then draw() will work. However, I cannot get this method to work. I have supplied an example fla (make sure to get the .as for it too).
1. How do I get Security settings right to permit bitmap.draw() to work with objects from another domain? (not any domain - just the domain I define in the allowDomain parameter)
2. How do I setup an event handler (listener) for bitmap.draw() so I can detect when it doesn't draw?
I have an external swf called "lakefillpreloader.swf." It works, except when I put it in another swf, called lakefillwireframe. I get Error#1010 for the lines about ButtonMode and the EventListeners that gotoAndStop at different frames. What do I add to my code?
Lakefillpreloader:
Code: Select allclose_btn.visible=false; buildings_text.visible=true; //defines measurements, in pixels const PANWIDTH:Number=10061
I was wondering if there was a way to have an externally loaded SWF file have a button that can communicate to the file that it was loaded into. I have a bunch of buckets that I'm loading in externally that and I would like for each of them to have their own back button that tweens the content in the SWF off stage but also to have a movieclip in the main file tween back on.
I'm having issues with an animation and need to get it functioning properly. I've posted two example/demo files to illustrate desired functionality.The main timeline (testMain.swf) consists of a loader, section/slide one content, and a button (bttnClick) set to load an external swf (external.swf).
external.swf contains two additional sections/slides and two 'next' buttons (bttnEnter with 'bNextOne' & 'bNextTwo' instance names) to navigate. When the second 'next' button (bNextTwo) is clicked I need the loaded external swf to fade out revealing the original main timeline (testMain.swf) and returning/stopping playhead at the 'slideOne' frame label. Does the external swf need to be unloaded even though users will most likely go back to it? Whats the best way to handle this?
If you could assist with the external swf fadeout to main timeline, the return to 'slideOne' frame label, and insight as far as the best way to return to the external swf.
I'm new on AS3, I'll try to explain what my project consists: Well, There is a main.fla and It loads external movies triggered by button items. The content animation sequence introduction starts with tweenLite and fills the stage with elements from Library (movieClips, buttons) and some sprites. I've built the intro animation through actionscript. Perhaps I'll need to explain how I did it the TweenLite structure, but the code lines are too long
The transitions / navigation: Each button before load the external movie has a respective animation that removes the other buttons from the stage. It triggers an "outro" animation and then loads the External Swf.
First: Each external Swfs contains a removeChild action in a MovieClip that CLOSES and removes the movie.. Like a "pop up" with a close action. After closed It should replay the intro animation and replace the buttons in the stage but it's not happening because I don't know how to communicate between different timelines / external movies.
I have a SWF that I wish to debug on with the flash debugger. I have the debug flash player and the 'Debugger' context menu option is greyed out. If I check the 'Permit debugging' option in the SWF publish settings, this does not become enabled.
My hunch is that this is down to the fact that my SWF is being loaded by another parent SWF. Before I embark on a potentially large job to republish this parent SWF, I wanted to gauge whether it was worth it by determining:
Does the parent SWF also need debugging permitted?
Is it only the parent SWF? Or do all SWFs in the scene need to be published with the same settings, no matter where they appear in relation to the target debug SWF?
Are there any other reasons for the debugger option being unavailable to me in my movie?
I am loading an XML from another server and it's my understanding that I need a crossdomain.xml or use System.allowDomain().I opted for the latter to have more flexibilty, but it doesn't seem to be working.
so i was trying to lop an Internet radio player, that will connect to different shoutcast servers, and play the radio, of course in development time everything was ok, now the time came for publishing just to be surprised with this messageof course i know what to do, but the end user will most likely won't know, and also i think this is a set back for developing such stuff, i also once tried to develop a twitter widget same thing happened when trying to communicate with twitter output, to work around that i could load the xml file from twitter into a local file using php, but i see a lot of flash files that uses flickr, twitter, and other sites, so how do these widgets work without triggering the security message,
I'm working on creating a portfolio that I can send to people, for fun (as I am not a true artist), and to make it easier on the people/myself, I've uploaded to photos/art to PhotoBucket, and thereby they can have the flash file, and when they click on a button it will have the content from PB, so no need to download extra images in the email. But, when I test it out, it tells me there is a security problem. So I ensured Flash was allowed to connect to PhotoBucket, and then restarted the program, as instructed.Is there anyway to "embed" the images in the flash document so no need for extra image files?[code]
I have a function (shown below) to play an external swf file within the middle of my fla file. I have buttons to navigate forward and back. I'm getting Security Sandbox Violation. How do I correct this? I do not know how to stop the image from appearing on the screen once you get to the point in the timeline where the video is. I do get my forward/back navigation buttons but once I use them to advance in the timeline, I continue to get the image found in the swf file. I've attempted the gotoandplay method to get me to the specific label areas, but I continue to get the image from the swf file. What would I use to make this image disappear from the background?
Code: var CDCloader:Loader = new Loader(); CDCloader.load(new URLRequest("[URL]")); addChild(CDCloader); var params = {}; params.allowscriptaccess = "always"; params.menu = false; stop(); play();
I am trying to access JS functions of the container HTML code from the swf(using External Interface). But until I add the swf in Global Security Settings it doesn't work, even from localhost. My question is how to ensure that this problem doesn't come to users who access the site. If I have to build a crossdomain.xml what should be the content? I am not accessing different domains.[code]
I am trying to make an external interface call on widgets I am creating to get the domain for in/out of network stats.
[Code]...
From what I am reading an allowscriptaccess needs to be set to always, which I can't do because there isn't embed code that is sent to Facebook during a share so I don't have control over that.
I am getting a strange problem while I am making my release build swf.The swf is supposed to make some internal server calls and then display the data and also play it.When I make a release build swf and excute it, while making server calls it throws exceptions likeSecurityErrorHandler: [SecurityErrorEvent type="securityError" bubbles=falsecancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2170: Security sandbox violation:file:///Path to the swf/WebPlayer.swf cannot send HTTP headers to **Method Name to bring data from the server***]And after this nothing can be done as everything depends on the data from the server..I have updated my cross-domain.xml on the server to support the master-only policy file but that also didnt ..My cross-domain.xml is
I haven't fully grasped how the flash security model works, and now I've ran into a problem. I have a base SWF that loads a game loader swf, which in turn loads the actual game.What I'm trying to do is taking a current bitmap snapshot of the running game. This works fine before the loader swf has loaded the game. When the game is loaded, I get a security violation because the game has images pulled from facebook. Is this something that can be solved on my end, or restricted by security in the game swf?
I am trying to load a swf file which contains xml based image gallery on 25th frame of the timeline inside flash professional cs5.5 using actionscript 3. while doing so i'm getting this error "SecurityError: Error #2000: No active security context". Below is the as3 code:
I'm having trouble with an AS3 AMF RemoteObject request that is hosted on App Engine. I have a crossdomain.xml file in the root of the domain, and also one at the remoting endpoint.Here are the contents of the root crossdomain.xml:
Loading the swf file and testing it on my machine works just fine... I think that may have something to do with me having the debugger version of Flash Player. When I push it up to App Engine to make it public, other clients access it and get a Client.Error.MessageSend Channel.Security.Error error Error #2048 url: http:[url].......I am using Flex 4 beta, and the App Engine Python runtime. I have tried full wildcard in the crossdomain, and even accessing the data endpoint at a relative URL so as to avoid this error.
My SWF resides on domain A, is loaded by a web site on domain B and is trying to ping URL (URLLoader.load) on domain C. But I am getting "#2048: Security sandbox violation" .. why? Of course I have read the manual, I saw the security white paper but I do not understand it. Don't you know any blog or such where it is explained for dummies? With lots of examples and maybe a table showing what is allowed and what is not?
I get following error: Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: [URL] cannot load data from 192.168.3.5:4854. at TicTacToe_fla::MainTimeline/TicTacToe_fla::frame1() ". I tryed to solve this problem about 3 hours, but I failed I have the file crossdomain.xml in the same folder like my .swf file on the server with this content:
