I know how to set the style for a radio button in AS3, but is it possible to apply a text format style to a radio button group, rather than each individual button?

Assuming a user selects one of the four buttons as a choice.
I want to use a button to clear all the radio buttons as unselected.
What is the AS that will set the selected state of all buttons in the group to "not selected"
I have a pretty large quiz/survey with 60 questions (4 questions per page and 15 pages) and I get a deselection bug come up at pages 5, 10, 15 for no apparent reason! I have checked the code vigourously for any errors and I can't see anyWhat happens is that a particular question within those pages stated above - when the alternate radio button is selected, it does not deselect the other radio button in the group.
There was no real clear solution to this other than build the questions dynamically from an XML file. I would really love to do this but my AS3 skills are not advanced enough to be able to program everything dynamically and I currently don't have time to learn these skills as the flash file is due like yesterday

im using the following code to create the radio button

then adding radio buttons to it on the fly, my question is how do i go about disabling the radio buttons ?

I found the code to create a setof radio buttons - the problem is that each time I call asubroutine, it seems to create a new set on top of them (hence theyget darker each time someone clicks them. View 1 RepliesIn Flex, sometimes when you need to clear a form you run into the problem that radio button groups seem to defy clearing: try as you might, setting selected=false on all buttons, setting selection=null on the group, doing both, doing them twice, etc., you always seem to end up with one pesky little radio button that's still selected. How do you solve this and restore the radio button group to its initial no-selection state?

View 11 RepliesI've got a huge survey I've made with lots and lots of groups of radio buttons. There are maybe 60 questions with 6 buttons each. Of these, I have a couple of groups that are really misbehaving. What's happening is for one question, the first button in the group seems independent of the rest. That is, I can check the first radio button and it never turns off when clicking others in the same group.
All my code is right. I'm using the exact same code with all the other groups and only two groups aren't working right. Ha. That's the funny thing, though, because everything works fine IN Flash, but publishing to a web page, these two groups stop working right.FWIW, I've set the first instance of the radio button with a name like "G10" then all the buttons in the group have the group name "Q10".I've tried several ways of fixing this including deleting the whole group and adding them again, copying a working group and renaming the parts. Nothing. The one thing that has worked (and don't ask me why) but adding a new single radio button with a new instance and group name has fixed other problem groups but not these two.

Here is my actionscript code:
It crashed on the line 'gameText = urlLoader.data.theText;' with the error of 'Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties.' so i guess urlLoader.data.theText is coming back null.
Here is my .aspx page code:
When I run the .aspx page separately, it returns what I want it to: '&theText=This is my test text'. I think I may be missing the big picture here somewhere.
I'm using swfobject to replace various objects on my page with flash. I use location.href (javascript) in order to pass the URL into flash via flashvars. In flash, I load the page as XML and then parse the data according to my current needs.This all seems to work fine when testing locally. However, I am trying to use this process with a CMS that is running ASP.NET and it no longer works.Is there an issue with the following code if the page being loaded is a .aspx page rather than a .html page? (xmlPath is the URL passed via flashvars)

View 7 RepliesI have an aspx page with a flash movie (gallery) that calls another aspx page which gets the info form a database and returns XML that the movie uses to populate the gallery with. Currently I have it use a query string that is passed through the flashvars so it will get the right info on post back. Is there a way I can reload the movie and pass the variable into flash without a postback? For instance the page doesn't reload, just the flash with the correct set of images.This is the JS used for the movie:

I have an application where the home page is an aspx page. It redirects to the flex application with authentication information in the url. The problem here is, if a guy copies the link for the flex application (which appears in the browser after redirection) and pastes it again, he will be able to access it. Is there some way to prevent this? That is, can we check whether the link was redirected from aspx or copy pasted?
View 2 RepliesI have a aspx called user-photo-upload.aspx and another aspx called get-photo.aspx. I set the Session["PhotoId"] in the page_load method of user-photo-upload.aspx.
If I visit the user-photo-upload.aspx through the browser normally, the session can be retrieved in get-photo.aspx. But if the flash uploads photo to the user-photo-upload.aspx page, I can't get the Session["PhotoId"] in get-photo.aspx.
I discover that the Session ID is different when visiting the page using browser normally or by flash. I don't know why flash uses another session.
