im trying to load an mp3 with a pre-loader. My swf plays fine until i click the button that loads the mp3."Error #2044: Unhndled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type."I've used this pre-loader code before no problem. The file name matched and the file is in the root folder. i don't get what the problem is. Here is the code I have on that keyframe:

in Flex I'm able to load a Image into an Image component (mx:Image) via a URL and it will display it, however in Flash if I try to load the same image via URL I get an unknown file type error. If I browse to the URL in a broswer, I can view the image.

i am making flash web site with flah cs3 as3. everythig was perfect but nnow codes are getting crazy. there is a photo gallery that has little picture thumbnails on right and when one of them is clicked , that photo is loaded from out of swf and appear in big size on left. today as i was fixing last little things codes gave me errors..Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type.
i changed fle types i saved pics in jpg, jpeg, bmp, png. but nothing works.

Implemeting RSL in Flex 3.2 The build comils perfectly but opening it shows Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type. URL:Whereas I have confirmed the requisite files are there in the folder. i.e. SWZ/SWF. I also noticed we assetCache does not contains framework swz.

I've been trying to format a text field using html in an xml file. So far it's been working fine but I tried to load an image to the text field and I got this error:
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type.
I figured I had my image in the wrong format (it was a jpg) so I tried png and gif with no results. Here's my xml file

I'm making a system to upload photos to a gallery. I'm using filereference, and it's working alright. I can upload like 20 files fine sometimes.. but when I do like 50, it starts giving me errors on over half the files.
The error is: Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2038: File I/O Error.
This may be a php error, or server error, I'm not sure. Because the file isn't even uploading at all.

I've made an user login, working with php and MySQL. When the user logs in, he can see all of his details, loaded from a database. Here he can press a button to change this content. After changing it, he needs to press the "save" button to load the new data into the database. I want to descripbe my Problem by steps, just to be clear and everyone can understand the issue:
1- I want to load a flv file (using ActionScript 3.0)
2- This flv or flash movie file is inside a movie clip and this one is also inside another movie clip.
2.1 - So, a (movie clip that contain the flv)--> inside -->( the main movie clip).
3- when I test the movie I get the folowing error and the video is not playing:
Error #2044: NetStatusEvent non pris en charge : level=error, code=NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound at index_fla::About_8/index_fla::frame1()
4- I'm using a Video object from the library instead of the component and give it the instance name of myVideo.

I'm building a flash movie for something at work and im loading in some images using an XML file but when i use a preloader it only preloads the XML file (as in just the text inside) and not the images.
This causes the movie to start playing without having the images loaded.Does anyone have any ideas about how i could get it to preload the contents/images being called in the XML file so it doesn't run as soon as the XML file is loaded.

b. it to be kept to a minute, after the minute the screen is cleared and it plays back the lines and sounds that had been generated.
c. that nothing appears when the mic.activityLevel is 0
d.that when lines hit each other, a sound is made
I don't care if there is no playback, but right now I can't even get the lines to appear and I need the sounds to play when the lines hit each other.

I have an swf that sends info to a PHP file which in turn gets a SWF to FLV converter running. If I try this with a small 1kb swf file it works great and returns the results with in 5 seconds.However now that I step it up to convert the files in which it was intended, files ranging around 2 mbs, I get this error..

I have a Android Actionscript project that I am trying to incorporate sound in, but having a problem that I cannot figure out. I have the sound file in the same directory as my class file and my .xfl file. I am trying to start the music file as soon as the application starts via class reference, but am getting the same error everytime:
