I created an Air desktop app with Flash CS 5. Usually Windows (XP) is opening an application (like Firefox) with the latest set size and position. For my installed Air app it's always just the default one. How to start it with the latest used size and position?
View 3 RepliesI am working on a presentation deck with a resolution of 2880 x 1571. I am in need of some help on two fronts for the final result. First off, I need it to go to fullscreen immediately upon opening. I am not sure if we will be using this through a browser, or stand alone flash player, but I am not having much luck getting the fullscreen functionality to work.
Also, do to the high resolution, "if" I go fullscreen, will it scale to fullscreen? Or is there a way to do this? Those things being said, I tried a full screen script, however, I lost some functionality on two swfs that I load from external files within the deck is this normal? Or something I am missing.

View 1 RepliesI hope someone here can help me figure out why my Flash CS4 on a Mac 10.6.2 machine crashes unexpectedly every time I open a file. (I have posted the entire crash log below) The program will open, and even stay open when I choose a .fla file for about 5-10 seconds and then CRASH every time. For what it's worth, all my other design collection programs work fine.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalled the Flash app., but it didn't do anything. I have also tried deleting all preference files and application support files in my user, and the problem persists.Does anyone have any ideas? I have a Flash job to get out and no way to work on it![code]

View 2 RepliesI've been trying to open a jpeg image in Actionscript 3.0 which opens without any issues however part of the lettering in the image appears to display as a different colour as if Flash doesn't recognise the colour in the image. The strange thing is that it opens in photoshop as the correct colour but not in Flash. Would the colour scheme that the image uses perhaps need to be added to Flash database of colours?

View 2 RepliesI'm toying with an Adobe Air app that plays quite large movies. I want to run it on a 1920x1080 display connected to a Mac. Unfortunately, the movies tend to stutter and I'm betting that happens because I'm not using HW GPU acceleration for H264 playback.
Most of the player code is ported (aka copied) from a web player I built and which runs very smooth on the Flash Player from the browser. So the code shouldn't be the problem.
In the Flash Player, to use GPU acceleration in a fullscreen mode, you have to set the Stage.fullscreenSourceRect property. However, this doesn't seem to work in Adobe Air...
I like to make a fullscreen desktop application, with an FLV, using the FLV Playback component. However, I�d like there to be a Fullscreen button on the playback component, which will allow the user to toggle the video fullscreen.I cant, for the life of me, figure out how to do this with various settings�it should be easy! View 3 RepliesWhat I've done is created a "fullscreen SWF" by using ActionScript to stretch a movie clip (yellow rectangle) in the background to fill the whole browser frame. The navigation is positioned in the upper left using ActionScript also; when the user resizes the window, positions are adjusted so the nav always stays in the upper left. (Adapting the technique from http:[url]....
External SWFs are loaded from an XML file into a blank movie clip on a layer that is between the yellow background and the navigation (adapting the kirupa XML Photo Gallery). Here's my problem: I want to be able to create full screen backgrounds for these external SWFs so when they are loaded into the main SWF they cover up all the of yellow background of the main clip. Also if the user resizes the window, I hope like the main SWF, the background on the external SWF can also resize to match.
If you press next twice to get to item three for example, I want to be able to stretch that orange box to fill the entire background. You'll notice if you resize the window on the third item, the orangle rectangle will adjust, it's just not correct.
I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I'm having.

I'm making a flash site, and i want it to load full browser with a "fullscreen"-button to go fullscreen. The problem, however, if i resize, the site will keep the same width-to-height ratio...But if i'm testing it using the flash debugger, everything resizes just correct...My html:

In my machine I have installed only Adobe Flash CS5 proffesional trial version. Now this installation is not supporting adobe.utils.Extension class in this version. I have tried with all latest updates from adobe site. My doubt is does adobe.utils.Extension class is available in licensed version of Adobe Flash CS5 proffesional?

It must be obvious, but I can't seem to figure out in CS4 how to view 2 different fla windows at the same time, each with its own timeline and stage. I often used this in Flash 8 to select and drag elements from one to another.

Im not sure why, but i get an error message every time i try to load the .flv

I have a .fla that is in actionscript 3.0 and when I try to open it it doesn't show up. It's almost like I open it and flash just forgets about it. No tab shows up. I don't think it's loading because there is no lag and I have full use of flash with other open projects.

Now once the user has been validated, I want to redirect the user to some XYZ.swf file and close the login.swf file else if not then I have to display an error message.
The issue may sound simple, but I am a beginner at this.
