I have recently purchased CS4 Design Premium. The installation of all applications went fine (no error message) and all applications work perfect except Flash CS4. On startup I see shortly the stage screen and then the spinning beach ball. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash only with no luck. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the complete Suite and still no luck. I work on a MacPro with 10.5.7. All other system requirements are fullfilled
I've been running flash CS4 without error for a few months now, recently though whenever I close it I can't open it back up or I get this error:"The application Adobe Flash CS4 has unexpectedly quit.A crash report has been generated. To provide us with the best chance of fixing this problem, please select Continue to add a detailed description that includes the steps required to reproduce the crash.Recently I've been creating panel extensions and commands but deleting them from the directories to stop them loading didn't make any difference so i doubt it's that

Using Migration Assistant on my mac I transferred all my files to another computer. All the other Adobe programs are starting up no problem (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) When I try to start up Flash CS4, it just freezes with the message "copying first run files.." and then it crashes.
I don't have the install discs unfortunately (or I would try to re-install) because this was given to me by a company I work for remotely.
Please my flash builder always crashes on startup. I have never used the application before because it always crashes.When i open it, it tries to start up but crashes and creates a log report in a file. The contents of this file is here[URL]..I didn't post it here because it was a bit too long. Please can anyone help me with whats going on and a possible solution?
I've created a form based flex app that populates some fields on startup. I'd like to validate that several text fields/labels are not null on startup. If any required fields are null I"ll throw and alert and close the app. There are only 4-5 fields that I need to check.
I'm wondering if this is possible.I have a local swf file.I'd like it to run automatically when the computer starts up.I would also like it to run full screen in the second monitor (graphics card is set to split the screen).
I am absolutely new to animation, I have created a movie for web page (using Flash 8)purpose:
--movie is the navigation menu for few of my website's pages.
--uses gotoAndPlay() to play a different animation (in same movie) for each web page.
Works, but late, movie plays from 1st to 61st frame (on 61st frame there is a code gotoAndPlay(1);) then it moves to actual frame number. In the 1st frame of my movie I insert this actionscript:
//code starts import flash.external.ExternalInterface; var surlPath;
In my air app I am maximizing the app window on creation complete event. Because of this I initially get a smaller window for a few milliseconds which is maximized after all UI elements are rendered. Is there any way I can specify that the initial size of the window should be maximal? Hard coding the size will not works as the screen sizes may change.
My current code is: <s:WindowedApplication .... creationComplete="maximize();"> . . . </mx:WindowedApplication>
I want to read width and height from XML and then change the stage size based on these numbers in an EXE file of Flash. Imagine the main size of flash application is for example 1024 x786. I write a code which interact with user as touch screen and all startup data(like image file names and key coordination) come from an XML file. My problem is, for different PCs, I must set the size of application manually. Some touch screens have different ratios like 1280 * 400! The only way is set the stage size on startup the application butstage.staheWidthandstage.stageHeightdont change anything for me.
Why in the world won't this work? I have an empty MC on the stage and nothing else. On the empty MC (named "clip") I have: Code: onClipEvent(load){ this.loadMovie("myexternal.swf"); } I've also tried _root.clip and yes I've quadruple checked instance names etc.
I uploaded several intro slide shows onto a black background. They work fine, but take awhile to load (once viewed and go back-they load much quicker). While waiting to load, the stage area is white.
However when I created them, I did make sure the stage area was black.
what I might do to correct this? I just think it would look much better if everything was black until the show appears. The shows were created in Flash CS 4 (ActionScript 3.0), & the site was created in Dreamweaver CS 4.
Im trying to load a startup photo from a folder "images" with Scottys re-size gallery script. Is there a way to load the latest edited (uploaded) file, from this folder? I can't post fla since its too big.
Flash CS5.5 crashes when testing this movie using CTRL-ENTER a few times. Sometimes, a message warning that the Java Virtual Machine is running out of memory appears. I would like to know whether it is the FLA or my Flash installation that is corrupt.
My flash cs3 is crashing every time I try to publish a file, why? I run vista business 32 bit I didn't have problems until today,using flash cs3 for the[code]...
We created a flash site, which crashes on IE. It works fine on Firefox.The problem seems to happen when the swf tries to load some MP3 files, with 'Sound.loadSound' method.
I've been using Flash CS4 on my MAC running 10.5 for over 6 months with no issues. But now when I open a fla file it opens but when I click anywhere it will crash within seconds. I've restarted my computer and checked that my Flash App is up to date.
just recently upgraded to Leopard. Flash now crashes when opening certain fla's (that worked fine before). The files sometimes open, but then crash the app when I select something on the stage. In these cases I can actually edit the actionscripts.I'm not sure if the crashes are related to Leopard; don't remember if I tried opening one of the problem files since upgrading.I'm on a MacBook Pro 17 2.33, 2gb ram.I repaired permissions (several times), ran various Onyx processes, zapped pram, removed all the prefs files I could find, and reinstalled the whole suite (CS3 Master suite). Bridge won't even open; it crashes on opening.
I've got a 9MB fla file that suddenly doesn't open any more. When I try to open it, it crashes Flash. When I try to open it as a library, it crashes Flash. Someone told me a library object might be corrupted - not good, irreparable. I'm on a Mac and when I try opening the fla file it gives me an "error type 2 occurred." I imported the swf file into a new Flash file, but now it's just a one-layer straight-streaming movie with every frame a completely new, redrawn keyframe. Is there any way to resurrect the original fla file? I've got a Sunday deadline?
I am having a problem with Flash at work. Any time I try and publish a file, whether its a .swf, .exe, or whatever, Flash crashes and closes. I am running Windows Vista x32, and Flash CS3. Any file, as long as it is saved and publishing a copy of the file with the same name, does this. The only way I can get around it is publishing from an Untitled document that hasn't been saved yet....even then all I get is a preview, not an actual published file.
The files I am working with publish fine on other machines. I have contacted Adobe and all I got was "reinstall," and "run a clean install." I reinstalled 3 times, and have run CS3clean twice along with more reinstalls (once each using each separate level of cleaning.) None of it worked; I still get the same issue. Also, I cannot open the ActionScript tab without flash crashing; the only workaround is to open an untitled document, open the AS tab THERE, and THEN open an already existing document. From there though I can't check my syntax or auto-format.
I am just starting to learn how to use flash. I have made four diffrent fla files, but one of them is not working. Flash crashes when i try to open it, it worked last night. Is there any way to repair it or find out what i have done wrong. Dont want it to hapen again. There is no problem to run the swf file. I have uppdated flash to the latest version 10.0.2.
and I have this problem: i am currently trying to create a 720p movie consisting of 738 single JPG pictures; 6 frames/second. Each picture has 204 KB, all the pictures together add up to 226 MB.Yet still, Flash is crashing (due to memory overload?) once I have loaded like 100 pictures of my sequence... I loaded 90 pictures and tried exporting it as a small AVI-movie, but even that made Flash crash. I checked the Windows task manager, and I saw that even with only 90 pictures loaded, Flash already takes up 1,6 GB of my RAM.Is there a way making Flash save those pictures not on the memory, but on the disk, in a temporary folder or something? I wouldn't care if it takes way longer.
i convined by boss to splash out on flash cs4 for work to make the website. it worked fine for about a week. now, when i try to start it, it just starts to load then crashes. it looks as if it is going to load then doesn't. i have tried uninstalling, rebbotiong in safemode and using various registry programs and reinstalling
I am workijg on creating an animaton it is 300 mb in file size and i am running windows 7. i have also tryed working on windows xp and the same problem happens.
what happens is that i could be drawing or copying a layer that i need to work with and flash will think for a little bit and then crash says that an unexpected error has occured and all i get is an error excption. i am running CS4 on windows 7 with 5gb of ram.
I hate to start a new thread but I didn't see one pertaining to this issue. I hope I am not alone. I recently bought a new iMac and it came with Snow Leopard OS. I ported over my Web Premium Creative Suite and all of my applications work great except for Flash CS4. I open the app to the intro screen but as soon as I try to open an existing project file or even to create a new project file, the app crashes immediately. I tried calling Adobe Support but they only turn me away, saying I need to purchase a $175 Support Plan for help. I just want my Flash to open. The same app works fine on my Macbook Pro (running Leopard). It seems adobe should be willing to help seeing as how the specifications say it is supposed to be compatible with Snow Leopard.Anyway, I have tried installing all updates and Deactivating/Uninstalling and Reinstalling.
flash cs4 launches fine but crashes when starting a new action script 3 doc. (quits unexpectedly) it seems to work fine when i log on as a guest user but not as myself (admin). MACPRO desktop OS10.6.2 what can i try to aleavate this problem.
