I have a piece of code:
[Code]....
Which implementation is running here: [URL] I have Vista Bussines SP2 but problem also exists on Windows 7 Home Premium. On IE 32 bit the capture image is flickering on my moves. This is very annoing. I compile my project with additional settings: -swf-version=12 -target-player=11.0 On for example Firefox this work much better but problem also exists. And external library is set to newest playerglobal.swc downloaded from Flash Adobe download site.
I am in need for some serious help before i have to do the ultimate and reformat my hard drive and spend the next 12 hours reinstalling everything. The issue is flash. I get this error "ActiveX control for Flash Player could not be registered" anytime i tru to install flash. I can see flash content in every browser except internet explorer 9 so I don;t know what to make of this. I have tried everything to now avail. There are a few programs that won;t work and always prompt me to install flash. When I do I get the same error. The fact that this error can;t be fixed is amazing to me. I am asking has anyone got any idea on how to fix this problem minus the usual links that Adobe has, none of their remedies work. I am using windows 7 64 bit.

I have tried countless times to install flashplayer 10 on my mac os x 10.4 (tiger) with no success. I have tried every troubleshooting suggestion, and at this point i am willing to try anything. This is what happens: I go to the adobe site and select the flashplayer 10 for my operating system. The flashplayer icon appears on my desktop and i double click it. I agree to the terms and click install It states that installation is successful. I then try to run a program and it says that i need to install flashplayer 10 in order for it to run, even though it says it has installed.
I can't seem to embed using swfobject...I normally embed with object class ID but have decided to get to grips with deep linking.I've brought it back to basics without using swfaddress and thinking it would maybe sort out server side, still no luck, either server side or locally. Also tried uninstalling and re-installing my flash player, still no swf displayed.swfobject.js is in the same dir as test.swf

I have an activeX control for a network camera when it is installed on my PC. I want to use that network camera in actionscript by loading its activeX control, but don't know how to do that.

I have a ActiveX control hosting a flash-player which is in turn running a flash file trying to access data from a web-address.
In an old Windows Application version of my application everything works fine and the flash file is able to access the web-content.
However, in a newer Console Appliction version of the application it can no longer access the web-content.
Is there some kind of difference between a Windows Application and a Console application in terms of security/permissions that might affect an ActiveX hosted flash-player?
My application requires Adobe Flash player to install. So if you are trying to install application and you have not installed Adobe Flash player yet, it automatically suggests you install Flash player. So by default this application needs version 10.2 so it tries to install it, but adobe blocks it, because it says that I am trying to install an old version of flash player, so how can I avoid this blocking, so I don't need to install the newest version of Flash player each time? How can I automatically install required version of Flash player?
My external container isn't able to set FlashVars since I upgraded to Flash version 10.1.53.64. What's the matter ? A simple for loop didn't list anything in the loaderInfo.parameters object (for (var val:String in loaderInfo.parameters)).
It didn't happen with any older Flash version.
Environment: Windows XP SP3 Container: Excel 2003, set FlashVars through VBA code Flash ActiveX version 10.1.53.64
I am having the same problem as a lot of other folks. I have searched through this and other forums and nobody seems to have an answer - at least I can't find one. The set up is this: I tried to view a video - received a message that I need to download the latest version of Flash Player - did so and everything seemed normal - tried the video again and got the same message. I have tried everything suggested on the official Flash Support page as well as this and several other forums and nothing changes.
I haven't seed this tidbit in other threads and it is probably worth noting that when I go to the page on the Adobe site where you can check which version is installed - it says no version is installed even though it apears normally in the Programs and Features window and can be removed from there. Off-the-shelf version of Windows 7 Home Premium , 32 bit running on an HP Pavillion Notebook. No problems with Flash Player unitl 3 days ago.
I have Windows 7 64-bit running on a Dell Studio 1558 with Internet Explorer 9 32-bit. Adobe FlashPlayer 10.3.181.14 is installed. All was fine (i.e., videos played well; e-cards displayed well) up until a few days ago. Now, videos won't play (the screen remains black) and e-greeting cards won't open. I have re-installed FlashPlayer several times. Shockwave Flash Object is enabled.
I have CS5.5 which comes set up for 10.2 flash. I followed instructions found at this url [URL] and was successful in changing CS5.5 to see 10.3. I downloaded the various new players for browsers and standalone. My goal is to incorporate AEC features found in 10.3 - they are not working (or at least I thought they were not).
After several hours I wrote a simple code line that reported the version number in a text line. (versionTxt.text=Capabilities.version;)
When I compile inside of Flash IDE it shows the version level of 10.2.153.2 , which is what shipped with my CS5.5. However this swf and exe files report version 10.3.181.34. This shows the player associated with the IDE did not update. It makes it impossible to write, test and debug projects while inside the Flash IDE.
Does anyone know how to change the player associated with the IDE?
Please can someone help thsi old guy who needs to get flash working on his computer.I have Vista 64 bit and run Firefox as my browser.Should I uninstall Flash and try an older version - but which one?
I have Flash CS5.5 I just uploaded an swf with a few button instances I got the msg that I needed to update my Flash player so I did. After that when I went to test the swf I get no button cursors on any buttons in the swf. The buttons work when I press on them but there is no cursor. If I publish the file locally the cursors are there, I made a few different fla's with test buttons to make sure and they all do the same thing. The publishing settings are set for 10.2 , this seems to have happened once I got the new Flash player 11.3.

In windows xp environment the GigE ethernet camera is connected to local pc only, not to internet server or FMS for streaming.
Often, but not always, the first few clicks on the "Allow" button on the Flash camera permissions dialog are ignored. This is very frustrating for users. And for me, when I'm testing code! I'm afraid I don't really know what else to say about the problem to give more insight. My hunch is that it has something to do with getting focus on the embed element, but that is merely a guess.
I have a movie that I exported from PremierePro CS5 into flv format and imported into Flash CS5. It opened a player and I followed the steps with local external video playback component. Fine, it plays in the test movie. I saved and exported to another PC where I want to put the file into a Dreamweaver (CS3) page to upload to our site. The trouble is when I test the file on the other PC, it only opens a blank swf page with no player.
I have a slight problem when publishing to Flash Player 7 but works perfectly in Flash Player 6, below is the code:[code]In short this creates a list where the values are kept in SharedObject.I need to use a WebService so I require Flash Player 7, as I said this works as expected in Flash Player 6, so maybe someone may know a pitfall or two when migrating code form 6 to 7?
Recently, I uploaded the flashmo_212_mp3 player to my site in hopes to have a player. When I put the player into my timeline, for the specific keyframe I run into problems. When I go to publish my site (this is in flash cs4), the site flashes every single page rapidly. What do I need to do to fix this problem?
I got an error in the end of the instalattion of Flash CS5 yesterday, but it seems to work fine when I open Flash CS5. Is there some kind of "repair" I can run to be sure, or do I have to delete the whole thing and instal it again?
From a Flash object, I would like to be able to detect the presence of a webcam that the user might grant access to, without actually asking the user whether they want to grant access. This is to streamline a large application that has extra features if a webcam exists — if there is a webcam, the application will present several dialogs that lead up to the normal cam-security prompt, but if the user doesn't have the hardware, I want to skip over them altogether. Requesting access to the cam before those dialogs won't make sense to the user.
It appears not to be possible to call Camera.getCamera() without the security prompt happening. Is there a workaround? (For instance, could I, perhaps, call getCamera in a hidden Flash object and inspect its return value, or does it block until the user acknowledges the security prompt?)
