I have a problem with BlazeDS to Flex mobile deserialization, so that I try to send back list of maps List<Map<String, Object>> with different Objects in every Map, but when I receive this list in flex code:
hastalarim = event.result as ArrayCollection; But when I debug this in flex code I see that there're 7 instances of the same Object (the first object that was inserted on server-side) in that list.

View 1 RepliesI've been looking at various questions in StackOverflow and in other sites, but I have not seen a library that a) generates actionscript code given XSDb) serializes to and deserializes from XML using the generated classes. In Java world this is JAXB. I have a set of large XSDs, based on which a web service is producing XML output. I don't want to write actionscriptclasses by hand, that'd be huge piece of work. Having source code in actionscript since writing code based on runtime binding of xml/json to objects is much more error prone compared to having proxy like classes.

In order to save or load a file I have to use my servlet, which just bounces back the bytes from the input stream to the output stream. Here's a basic outline of my Flex code:[code]So my problem here is not with the saving of the workspace. That works great. My problem is with the loading of a workspace. The event.data that I write to the byte array is not reconstituted into a MyWorkspace object even though it is exactly what I wrote to the file.There has to be a way of making a MyWorkspace object from the data, but I can't figure it out.

I also, already have the map located on their location with an pin over it, but I was trying to figure out how to make the map pull the information that pops up when you click that pin. I am writing a Flex application for use on a private intranet with no external Internet access. I want to use Google's 3D Maps Flex API, but it must be connected to the internet to download map tiles on demand.
Is there a way to locally cache the 3D map tiles and data so that I can run this app without an internet connection? And if not, is there a 3D GIS that supports Flex integration and allows for a local map cache?

I am creating a little map app where you are given information, video and images regarding different campuses in a university. I am using the customContent method to insert video player object into the infoWindow but when I do this it gets rid of my text content and becomes the only visible thing to the user. When using map3d, the default marker creation is always perpendicular to the viewport. How can I create a marker that lays down flat against the map? I can't use GroundOverlay because it becomes overly tiny when the map is zoomed out. How can I create a matrix3d object that will rotate/scale/skew my Marker's foreground DisplayObject so it remains flat against the map when in perspective mode?

The 'recommendations' dataProvider is an ArrayCollection of String, which are generally sentences about as long as this one. By setting the variableRowHeight and wordWrap properties as shown, if a sentence is too long to fit on a single line, everything works fine- the row expands and the messages show on two lines, or occasionally three.
The space allocated for this panel within the entire canvas means if the total text size of 'recommendations' exceeds six lines, I need for the entire list scroll. This is also working just fine. The trouble is when using the mouse wheel to do the scrolling- Flex scrolls both the entire list and the single item where the mouse is hovering. Often this results in only the second half of a sentence being visible. Non-programmer friends I have asked to look at this noticed this, and tell me it as a problem. If a user does not notice the dual scrolling, and sees only a fragment of a sentence, it will be perceived as an error in the application.

I had this same issue when I created an application using google's javascript API and the solution was to have closure on the callback function creating the multiple markers.I can not seem to find an example for making multiple custom markers, with anything other than using some random math function to create the multiple markers.

This is where I begin geocoding by address, rather than using an httpservice, as I was doing before, but I ran into issues of one httpservice result would return faster than another, which would in turn place the wrong data with the wrong marker.
Obviously, I have not found a solution, because this way is doing the same thing.Question being, how can I retrieve multiple markers info and keep all the markeroptions in order with the information being returned.

I'm trying to animate a list as I delete the top row. All the examples I can find use itemsChangeEffect to bind to the effect, but this property exists only in MX lists, not spark lists.
Any idea how I can get the same effect done in Spark Lists?
I'm trying to remove the top most item in the list with a slight fade out effect before the rest of the items move up to replace the gap.
With the Google Maps Flash API, I want to add an event listener which fires when the Marker is added to the Map using
map.addOverlay();
Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE
is not fired, though it seems logical. What are the alternatives?
