When I run this I get an error on the first click and any next click on a row will give me the cell data of the previous click (so I'm one step behind).

-Single-click on a row, doesn't make the cell show a text input field (only selects the row)
-Double-click on a row, doesn't make the cell show a text input field either
but
-Clicking a cell in an already selected row, shows a text input field ready to be edited.
which I can't seem to solve. I'm using a cellRenderer to display icons in a dataGrid. All works fine until I type in the command myDg.hScrollPolicy = "auto". Once I issue that command, the icons stop displaying. If I remove that line, all works well once more.

Please see my current attempt below.This attempt successfully inserts a combobox into the datagrid, BUT without any data in the combobox. In fact, when I click on the combobox in the datagrid, it is the same as a normal combobox on the stage without a dataProvider. View 1 RepliesThe following code is the cell renderer for for a ComboBox in a DataGridColumn. It works fine when setting the comboBox's data in the constructor. There's a problem using the red code below. If the DataGrid row is not already selected the dropdown list appears but is empty.Any ideas? If the row is not already selected, the selectedItem is being set causing a STATE invalidation after the list a created. I'm not sure how to prevent this.

I have a datagrid whose data keeps updating quite frequently.On every update, I need to change the cell color of only those cells whose data has changed.That too, if the updated value is less than the older value then the cell color should change to RED else, GREEN.
I have tried using labelFunction, cellrenderer, etc. But to no avail.By no means, I am able to access the present data in the cells to compare it with the new data.I have added the sample classes in the attachment. To get them to work, just create an fla with a DataGrid & a Button components in its library & mention 'del' as its document class.Just run the fla & click on the two buttons on stage to see the values in the price column changing.
I am working on a problem since a week soon, but I still couldn't make it work as expected. I have a DataGrid which has HBox with a CheckBox an a Label as itemRenderer (see Code below). When I tap in to the Cell the standard itemEditor pops up and lets you enter the content of the label. Thats the standard behavior. I works fine except for 2 problems:
If I enter to much text, the horizontal srollbar pops up, and the cell is filled with that scrollbar. As you see I tried to set the horizontalScrollPolicy to off, but that doesnt work at all... I tried to do that for all the different elements, but the failure is still existent. When I have filled more than one row, there is an other mistake happening. If I tap on a row, the datagrid selects the one below that row. That's only if one line is already selected. If I tap outside the datagrid and then, tap at any row the itemEditor of the right row will show up... Is there anything now wright in the setup of my set data method?

how I can manage to give single words inside a DataGrid-CellRenderer a different color than defined by the TextFormat for that CellRenderer? It's not how to get these single words, it's how to use more than one color inside one cell...

I am attempting to combine two AS files that are acting as cellRenderers individually but not simultaneously for cells in a datagrid in a Flash document I have created. The first styles the cells to have alternating row colors and the second allows for non-text content to be rendered. I'm having a problem with the following code. It works perfect to attach a movie clip if the mouse is idle. The problem is there seems to be some sort of refreshing going on which is not allowing the movie clip to play past the first frame.

View 5 RepliesI'm having trouble having my flash file detect when my mouse goes over and/or leaves a movieclip. I want to have a mini slideshow in my menubar which, when my mouse goes over the movieclip containing the slideshow, the pictures 'enlarge', and when the mouse leaves, the clip becomes normal size again.
This is the code I've gotten the best result with, as of yet, but it only seems to notice that my mouse leaves the movieclip half of the time, and sometimes there's a 'glitch' where the clip zooms and unzooms uncontrollably when my mouse is just next to the clip.[code]...
You might think that this is a stupid question, since everyone who knows a little bit of actionscripting, knows that this can be achieved with onRollOver ... But that's not exactly what I'm looking for.
I have a small tooltip which follows the mouse and asks the user to click in order to close a picture. The tooltip follows the mouse using startDrag("tooltip", true);
But I'd like to remove the tooltip once the user moves the mousepointer outside the picture.
Though, when you use onRollOver, the mousepointer changes into a finger. This is not what I'm looking for since the picture than functions and looks like a button.
So is there any way to detect if a mousepointer is over a movieclip, without changing the cursor?
I have created a datagrid with 2 columns. The first one is the normal text data and the second column contains buttons for each cell. What I want to do is retrieve the text information when the corresponding button on the same row is clicked. How do I get this information? I am unable to use selectedItem because I do not want to select the correct row before pressing the button.

I have an editable datagrid with a dataprovider which is basically Numbers. Is it possible to delete a value? When I do it it puts a 0 in that cell but I really need an empty value, like a Null or a NaN whose are going to be cleaned later with a labelFunction. BTW I also need the cells to keep the 0 if needed to.
