Feb 7, 2012I test my flashfiles (banner ads) several times during making by pressing Ctr+Enter. The movie then opens up in the Flash Player. It would be really useful to have play/skip/forward/backward/pause/stop (just regular moviecontrollers) buttons in the player to skip straight to the right part (not as part of the file). Is there any way to add this to flash? A plugin/extension maybe?

Oct 20, 2004I'm having some trouble with getURL (I think). It works fine when I preview with Flash's html preview but it's not working on my server. It's pretty simple. [URL].selected1 is a user-defined variable pointing to a page: ie, when the user selects variable page1 the page to be opened is [URL]. Like I said, it works with Flash's preview, but not on my server(no 404 or any response). Does there seem to be a problem with my code or might I be overlooking a server error? Here's my code:

Jun 25, 2010Yes correct I'm talking about Flash Player 11, thats what it says in Flash CS5 software. Whatever I do in Publish Setting, Flash software always returns option to be Flash Player 11, I don't get this. I choose Flash Player 8 and AS 2.0 and re-open Publish Settings it is again back on Flash Player 11 and AS 3.0.

Mar 27, 2012After hitting next on this animation you can see there appears to be blank areas on the animation. If you mouse over them you will see buttons appear which is their "over state." When I publish the animation and preview it in Adobe Flash CS5.5 all the buttons are visible and work correctly. It is only in the brower (chrome, firefox, safari) with up to date Flash Player that is is not working. This is happening in a number of animations I created originally in CS4 last year, and am updating them as CS5.5 using AS3.

Nov 11, 2011I am on mac and haven't upgraded my OS from 10.5 to 10.6 so when I upload a file creted in Flash CS5 it won't play because it needs the Latest flash player which uses 10.6 OS.So what I'm getting to is that can I go into "publish" settings and change the Flash player from 10.2 to an older version and then will this work.Also, which version should I change it to? This is a result of removing asset after asset from my original swf, which produced the same publishing error, in an effort to determine what the issue is. What conclusion can I draw from this? Sep 27, 2010When I'm in design mode in Flash Pro, I can selectively hide layers. However, whenever I run the movie for testing the hidden layer inevitably shows up. Frustrating, as I want to be able to test several different layers and not have them all appear.

The swf file, however, does display from the URL without the html file. My work around has been to hand code the html. Is this a known issue or is there something else that might be causing this to occur?

Sep 18, 2009My project won't allow me to preview or publish it anymore. It's about 10 megs and the swf was around 2 the last time I could check. It goes to the export/publish panel and the bar fills but then nothing. The application does not crash either and I can continue to work in it.
Other smaller files preview fine.
I could debug this? It's driving me crazy and I really can't afford to lose this project.

Feb 3, 2010In frame one of "Scene 1" i have a movie clip that acts as a scrolling image banner, scene 1 is only 1 frame long and there is no scene 2 yet, or any other frames, But, when i preview, or publish, the scrolling image movie clip disappears, for like, no reason. theres no actionscript in any of the frames at all so that wouldnt be causing it somehow.
