Jan 5, 2011When i am pointing to an FlV it's playing successfully. But when it comes to a speex file. I am getting an error StreamnotFound. How to resolve this issue?

Dec 7, 2011I want to play *.spx files which encoded by Speex on the Web.But I have no knowledge of Flash/Flex or any Flash Audio codec. After Google search for a whole day, I got some solutions, that is:
Do something wrapping Speex files with a FLV container because that the Speex is only playable as the audio codec in a FLV container.Now I can play a SPX-Audio-Only FLV file in Flex, I use netStream.play("audio-only-speex.flv"), But I donot know how to wrap a Spx file with FLV container using ActionScript.I have never heard FMS stuffs before, as well as I'm not sure whether my virtual host can support or not...Convert every Spx files to MP3.
I think the best solution is decoding Spx in AS3, Yes, I'd like to make a Spx Flash Player.So, I downloaded Speex Library from speex.org, installed Adobe Alchemy. After ./configure;make the libspeex, build libspeex/speex.c out a libspeex.swc via Alchemy. then, I donot know how to do next. How can I decode the speex audio with AS3? My libspeex.swc: [url].....
In addtion, should I rewrite the libspeex using Alchemy API before build the libspeex.swc? Although I am not professional in AS, but I have a strong ability to learn.
Flex :: Play Speex Encoded Audio In Flash Player?
Mar 22, 2011I am able to record sound from microphone, encode it using SPEEX and write into ByteArray. I want to play it back. If I try using Sound object the audio is messed up. Speex uses 16kHz for encoding and Sound Object needs 44.1kHz for playing audio. How am I supposed to play this encoded sound.

I tested the above code with .flv videos and AAC encoded audio files and it works just fine. But when I try stream_ns.play("sample.spx") I get a stream not found exception.
Am I using the wrong container (.spx) for speex audio. Is playing speex audio from a file supported?

Process Flex/Flash SPEEX Audio Data On The Server Side?
May 4, 2011I'm implementing a very simple audio-only RTMP server.I have my client code like this:

Then on the server, I keep receiving audio packets with size of either 43 bytes or 11 bytes (no other sizes found yet).My questions are:
Why do I get size of either 43 bytes or 11 bytes (from SPEEX encoding?)?
Is the 43 bytes = 1 head byte + 42 data bytes?
What is the size of 11 bytes?
How should I process or convert the SPEEX to raw data, so that my server side app can use this audio data? My current implementation:
I pick up all 43-byte packets (drop all 11-byte packets);
Skip the first 1 byte;
Decode the left 42 bytes using Speex library.
How should I convert the raw data back to SPEEX audio data?

Mar 1, 2012Adobe's "SWF File Format Specification v10" says that Speex encoded data can be used for streaming sound (a little clarification of the "streaming sound" definition here: "The SWF file format supports a streaming sound mode where sound data is played and downloaded in tight synchronization with the timeline. In this mode, sound packets are stored with each frame." - this has nothing to do with any FMS streaming, no ActionScript needed - just plain SWF).This should be accomplished by using a single SoundStreamHead2 tag with StreamSoundCompression set to 11 (which means "Speex", as stated in the abovementioned Specification) and then N pairs of ShowFrame and SoundStreamBlock tags. However, this does not work - Flash Player plays no sound when playing the SWF generated by me this way. Please note, that I am capable of generating such SWFs containing streamed MP3 or PCM data, which then play perfectly. Just not Speex...
I strictly conform to the Specification:URL...I tried the streaming sound approach as well as the event sound - both do not work.Moreover, I was not able to find (anywhere on the Internet) any sample SWF with streaming sound (nor event sound) encoded in Speex. Do they even exist? Anyway, Flash CS5.5 is not capable of generating them.I would just like to know whether Speex support for SWF streaming sound can be found anywhere else than in the Specification. Sep 30, 2010I have a mp3 that is retrieved from the server via "somepage.php?id=100". When I load this into spark VideoPlayer it doesn't work. But when I copy that URL and put it into the browser URL I get a dialog that asks if I want to download "sound.mp3".

It seems the audio is cued up in order when added to the creation complete meaning that if one audio file is loading another will not start until after the first has completed.

Jan 19, 2012I trying to play a flv file in a flex mobile (flex 4.6) The files will all be locally stored and on the device. Would it be better to use the video even if it is not supported or can i use a movieClip? I am going to try and fade out a picture and then play the video with out any user controls and then fade back to the picture. The this will all be on a tablet. I am using Flash Builder 4.6.

Jul 14, 2011I am trying to make a swf with one FLV playback player and 6 buttons. I've got 6 different videofiles that I want to have linked to this swf. Some of the videos are quit large.When starting the Swf, the first video has to start, after playing it, it has to stop. Then you must be able to choose which video to play by clicking one of the buttons. I don't want to have small thumbnails of the video, just plain and simple buttons.I have to have all my files, both fla, swf and xml files in the same directory (I cannot have them stored in different folders, since I have to upload this to a cms system which has limited upload properties).
I've tried to find the right script on the internet, I'm not very good at scripting myselve, actually rather poor educated there.It seems to me that I have to make an xml file with a list of all my videos, I have my default swf ready, with a FLVplayback and buttons.Now there's just the coding part....

Feb 27, 2012I have created two buttons for separate audio files. Essentially if you click on the button it will play and stop. This works great! I have also injected a SoundMixer.stopAll(); to ensure if you click between both buttons that it will stop the current audio file to play the next one. My problem is when I select the 2nd button for the first time everything seems to be working...it's when I attempt to click on the first button again, that it will require 2 clicks and then it stops and plays accordingly...anyone know how I could eliminate this annoying two click process?

Oct 8, 2009I am having some problems showing my videos in flash after moving it anywhere besides my computer.
I published my flash file once as a exe. file and sent it to another computer, where it all worked but my videos, which didn't show up at all.
I also published them as SWF files, then put them up on my free website (where i don't have access to the ftp) and the videos still aren't there.
The videos will play fine in an SWF file on my computer, but i am assuming when they are away from the videos, they don't have a source to access them.
I also tried sending the videos along with the SWF files when sending to other computers and it still doesn't work.
I now have a free hosted website (with wix.com if that makes any difference) with my flash work on, but no videos. I even tried to embed a youtube video into the scenes the videos are meant to appear, and put the videos on youtube, then i discovered you can't put that sort of HTML into flash.
how to show the videos on these sort of website, or even better, how to keep them in original file when sending them, so they show on other computers.

I have a website banner made in Flash. I have added a music file to it and Play and Stop buttons. I also have a Replay button to replay the banner animation once it stops.
I have put the music on a separate frame so that it will not play automatically when the banner loads. I have made the Play button direct to the frame the music is located at so that when clicked, it will go to that frame and play the music file.
The problem I am currently having is that if I click the Play button more than once, it will play the music file again on top of the current play-through.
So if I click Play, the music will play. Then if I click it again, the music will play again, but on top of the first instance of the music, so two instances of it will now be playing and it sounds horrible.
I would like to make it so that if you click Play when the music is playing, it will not play the music again until the music has stopped.

Oct 14, 2009I want to list about ten videoclips (all mov-files) on my webpage and when i put my mouse over a clip it should start playing - when i remove the mouse from the clip, it stops. My idea was to use a swf-file that i can trigger using a URL like this: preview.swf?path=movies/movie1.mov
1. How do make my swf-file aware of the URL and then play the right file?
2. When the mouse is not over any videoclip i would like have the first frame of the mov-file shown - is this possible or do i need to make screenshots from all the mov-files then?
