We have a few flash files f1.swf, f2.swf .... fn.swf.We would like to be able to display a slide show of these different files in c# using winforms. Each flash file is a slideshow by itself. At the end of slideshow for f1 we need to display a message and ask the user to repeat it or continue.
Ok what I have is a site I am building for school.I have some textfields loaded from a outside file Some of the fields have more text then will show in the size of the box, and you can sroll it down to read it all but unless you try to scroll there is really now way to tell you can do it just buy looking at the text box.So I want to add a scroll bar and we have not covered that in class.Note everything has to be added using AS3 we can have no content on the timelineI have look to try to find something so show me how to dod this but all I can find are videos on doing it using the stage and adding items to it.
Im in the progress of creating a XML menu component, and Im going well so far. My code is a bit messy and currently for the button press actions for the menu items I have done this below:(a method used by Senocular in the xml menu tute)
I work with Flash Pro allmost 11 hours per day and every while i get a error which messes up everything. Approximetly i get this after about 2-3 hours withevery project. After i get this error there is no chance to test movies afterwards.I see a fast flash of the loader window but it dissapears so fast i cant even really see if it is loader.
I have a site that plays either .mp3 or .flv files depending on what is selected from the menu. Menu loads in from xml. I get "unable to make connection with server or unable to find flv on server" when I try to play the video. But the video and audio files are all in the same directory and the mp3 files play fine. I think I'm having a problem with the setMedia command. Here's the code that loads the video and audio files.
I download Flash CS5 and I try to execute it without an error message coming in and basically the program does not start. The message goes as follows:
Flash.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ?ik_treelsActive@CFlashIK@@QAE_NJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library FlashIK.dll.So then I tried to install the updates via the website and the AdobePatchInstaller.exe and I get this:
Some updates failed to install.
Update is not applicable.
So here I am unable to start Flash CS5. Anyone know a way to fix this issue?
I uninstalled the old version but using the Adobe site cannot reinstall. I get a box asking if i want to save the file and telling me it is binary then when i click yes save file a green bar races along the screen in about 5 seconds and apparently my download is complete but there is never anything there afterwards.
I try to install the trial version of Flash CS4 on my system, but when I start the setup file, the cursor changes to the waiting icon a few seconds and then returns to normal. Nothing happens, no error report. No process running in the system manager either. I looked it up in the event viewer, and there I see it listed as a application error, the details is as follows:[code]
"The version of Adobe Flash Player ActiveX that you are trying to install is not the most current version.[url]...
I get this message whenever I visit the Url above to install the flash player. I've used the utility to uninstall the application a dozen times with no luck. During the uninstallation process, I exited all applications and even restarted the computer before the attempting to reinstall.
There's a version out there that it is checking against either in registry or somewhere, where is it so I can remove it?
We currently have an issue with in our Citrix farm with Windows 2003 Servers (x64, R2, SP1) Where Flash Flash 10,0,22,87 is installed and working fine when logged in as a Domain administrator but will not work as a normal (non administrative user) to confirm I've given a user who it did not work for Domain admin rights and it started working straight away. I'm using (and published within Citrix) the 32bit version on IE for compadibility reasons and have also tired this on a Window 2003 Server (x86 R2 SP1) and am getting the same results so I have to assume the issue is with Flash and not with my setup.
I've tried the following recommendations:Remove with Adobe Flash removal tool and Reinstalling via website with an Domain admin login using the change user /install command Remove with Adobe Flash removal tool and Reinstalling via install_flash_player_ax.exe installer with a domain admin account using the change user /install command Allowing Domain users Modify Premissions (to both the Directories and Files) to the M:WINDOWSsystem32MacromedFlashswflash.ocx & M:WINDOWSSysWOW64MacromedFlashFlash10b.ocx Following KB article [URL] and applying the premission changes recommended Following KB article [URL] and checking the registry premissions on these items I've enabled all ActiveX and Java related IE options in Group Policy to allow the to run for the Internet Zone When going to [URL] either as a Domain admin or a Regular user it confirms that "You have version 10,0,22,87 installed" Still I cant seem to get flash components of websites to load when logged in as a non Administrative User.
I created a flash video using flash CS3, and I pulished the html. The flash worked fine on my computer. When I uploaded the file to my videos folder on my server the video worked. But when I had the link to play the file on another directory it failed to show the video or play.[code]...
I'm experiencing difficulties with Flash 8 not recognizing the majority of a font family. Its strange because Photoshop & Illustrator recognize them & display them just fine.[code]...
using windows xp I.E.7, when prompt to install directX i start to download but failed everytime with error and suggest to visit adobe.com/go/tn_19166.I follow all the steps for trouble shooting but not work. Even i downloaded [Install_Flash_Player_10_ActiveX] install but it also failed. hence i unable to see the falsh contents on the net.
I have been working on a full flash website for a while, and been testing it using the Ctrl + Enter command to export it to swf. Today I was working on the file making some text modifications, but when I tried to test the website, nothing happens. It shows the progress window, but after a while nothing happens, It wont show the swf test file, and It doesn't create the swf file in any way. I tried the other commands: file-publish, file-export to swf with no success. I'm using Flash CS4 professional (10.0.2) on Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit. Other .fla files export swf with no problem, and the Swf preview (Ctrl + Enter) works fine. It's only in this file.
I'm using windows 7 home premium and internet explorer 8. I've just downloaded adobe flash and tried to install several times but it gets to 99% then asks me to close internet explorer. But internet explorer IS closed. It will not let me continue, just keeps insisting i close internet explorer.
Yesterday I made a nice little flash movie (a picture slideshow) and today I've looked a a few tutorials explaining how to add my new flash image. To keep it easy I made a single page, using Dreamweaver, just to display this one movie. Everytime I ruin in in dreamweaver (F12) nothing appears. Similarly, anytime I look in the properties and press play my flash image disappears.
Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>
I cannot type numbers in flash in the text field. I can type letters, however.
I have flash 8 / windows 7 / firefox 3.6.3 / and i have tried the numberslock button on my keyboard, but i still cannot type numbers in the text field.
I can identify the type of an object in flex? In particular I have an array where I store multiple types in (but all UIComponents) now as I evaluate the array I want to find out whether I have a TextInput Control or a RadioButton. Does someone have an idea?
I am trying to create this html elements dynamically on the onload of my page, however;when I run it the code wont work on IE8 but okay in firefox, safari, and others.
function getmovie() { var container = document.getElementById("container"); if (!container)
I've got a SWF that collects feedback from users on a website. The questions asked are pulled in as XML, using a URL supplied via flashvars embedded in the page. Unfortunately, this appears to have broken in the latest version of my SWF.[code]Using External Interface.call() to call console.log in the browser outputs null, yet in a previous version (where this code has remained unchanged) it works and outputs the URL as I would expect. I can switch between them see it working on the earlier, then update to the newer one and it outputs null again.
The only change in this newer version of the asset is that I added a symbol and a bit of code to add that to the stage after the XML has been loaded - but that did not in any way change the code getting the URL from the page's HTML.I'm using Flash CS5 and it is an ActionScript 3.0 project.I did read somewhere that this could be done via ExternalInterface would it be more appropriate for a scenario such as this? Is it a viable alternative if for some reason I can't get this to work properly?
I made a game in flash, and the first level of the game works, but after you complete the level, I am unsure of the coding to test and see if all of the enemies, since they are movie clips, have been unloaded from the flash, so it will move on to the second level. I know there is a way to do it, I just don't know exactly how, to do it, nor do i know where to look to get help with it.
here's the coding i've done so far.
this is the coding I've put one of the enemy characters, who is a movie clip, they all have different values to make things interesting.
I have a flash video player that I would like to embed in other pages, so I created an iframe to do this. It has to be an iframe because it depends on other swf files that get loaded into it (plugins).
The weird thing is the video does not play when loaded inside the iframe, but if I go to the html source and cut and paste the tag outside of the iframe it works.[url]...
I have an issue with a Flash applet that I've written; it's an MP3 player that is supposed to load an MP3 file from a web address.
When I run the SWF on my local computer, it works like a charm. However, when I put it on a webpage, it does not load the MP3 file. (I guess that's what I get for not testing it that way beforehand.) I've double-checked permissions and it seems that everything is as it should be.
I know that AS3 has some cross-domain policies, but I'm loading the MP3 file from the same domain. I understand that Flash has sandbox properties, but I would expect that a file in the same domain shouldn't be a problem. I've heard of people having problems with SWFs before, but not regular media files.
If possible, I'd like find a solution that doesn't require rewriting the code, as I have a release version of the SWF on my site currently. (Rewriting won't be a problem, but I have to wait until the end of the day to do it, and the SWF is on display now.)
Edit: I had three friends test this, and it worked for them. However, it still didn't work for me. I'm at home now, and I'm testing - my applet loads an MP3 in Firefox, but not in Chrome. (Oddly, the friends who tested were using Chrome, which loaded it with no issues.) At work, my applet would not load an MP3 in Chrome or Firefox.
I'm working on a website that is going to have a content area that is flash and then have the navigation and a small content area that is HTML. Attached is the page layout blocked out. You can see that the flash wraps itself around the bottom and left side of the HTML navigation and when I place the flash object into HTML it creates a block and I am unable to have the navigation above part of the flash. Does anyone have an idea how I can accomplish this and have cross-browser compatibility?
Experience with Flash: very very little (very) Version: CS4 Operating system: XP Pro. I was given an FLV file to display on the web. I imported the file into flash and exported it as an html file.
The movie worked great online, but then I was asked to save a copy of the movie on a CD to send it to a client - I saved all the files in a folder. I tested it on my computer and I was able to view the movie, but when the client loaded the html page, all they saw was a bar (that has the volume & play buttons) and a green line that scrolls across it. Here's what it looks like
Some people can load the html file and view the movie and others cannot (on their desktop). On some computers I tried updating the flash player (I removed the existing one first), but it still did not work.
As much as I'd like to be, I am not a Flash developer - I just use it to the extent that I must (the nature of my job) Did I provide enough information for someone to be able to tell what the issue is and how to resolve it?
