Flex :: Design - Changing DataGrid Highlight Color
Dec 29, 2009
How can i change the color, when the user mouse over an item on datagrid or tilelist. Basically once the user mouse overs and once the user selects a file. How to change the default color to something else. The default is blue and i dont like it :)
Changing the highlight/selection colour for selected text in a text field? At the moment with white text on a black background it seems impossible to discern what text is selected.
Very bizarre issue here: For whatever reason, my datagrid will not highlight items as I roll my mouse over them. Instead, the highlight bar just remains static on the last entry in the datagrid. I know I can still select items as I have written methods that respond to the selection. [code]...
I want to set the background color or highlight color of selected text in text area in Flex as we can set highlight color of text in MS Word. And after setting this highlight color user can also edit this text without disappearing this highlight color.
how I can select a row in a datagrid in flex and have it highlight that row plus any related rows.Let me give you can example:Let's say that I have a datagrid. In the grid I have two columns for each row. One column has what type of car they own, and the other column has the owners name. Let's say that an owner has two cars. So you have a datagrid that looks like this (4 rows, 2 columns):if you click on the Camery row, the Jaguar row and the Camery row are both highlighted.I have a datagrid that has items, and has related items to its parent.
I'm new to Flex 4 and have been doing the Flex in a Week crash course online.
build a dynamically growing or shrinking table with columns and rows. The cell backgrounds of the table will change color depending on an XML file.[url]...
Both have single columns. Selecting one item from Divsions datagrid should display members of that Division in the Members datagrid. But following code has some problem and Members of a particular division do not show up when respective Divsion is clicked.
Following are some snippets of the related code. Hope someone can spot an error in it.
I have a Flex3 TextInput control, with white text on a black background. I would like to change the style of highlighted text within the control to use black text on a white background (or something similar). I would love to do this using Flex styles, however I'm comming up empty handed
I have a button with an icon. I want to have the button in gray so I change the chromeColor but when I do that, the icon became darker. On the left the button without changing the color, on the right, the gray button with and darker icon. How can I have a gray button without changing the icon color?
My problem is that empy rows (if there are more rows that dataSource items then there are empy rows) look identical to rows binded to dataSource items which are empy (see the difference?). The only way to know the difference is to hover over them with the mouse, and if they are empty there's no color change, otherwise there's the blue background of the selection.. I want to change the color or in some way hide empty rows, those that are not bound to a dataSource item.
How to Set alternat Row Color In Flex 4.5 MobileApplication For Spark Data Grid. The Main Problem Of SparkDataGrid in Mobile Application not Allowed to Add Skin.
I am creating the standard "Click to add row" control but I really don't want to dirty the dataProvider with a "placeholder" since it is bound to the model and could end up in the database. Is there a way to add a row that isn't represented in the dataProvider? I started down the road of adding an item directly to listItems but then that needed an item in rowInfo and then that need a reference in rowMap.
I have a flex app, in which I need to change the color of the focus rectangle of a textinput if the input is empty. This used to work when I was writing inside a mx:script tag, but now I'm writing a new component (an AS3 class that inherits from VBox) myself. And now it isn't working anymore. I used to run the following statement to change color:
I am trying to set the row background color for the advanced data grid control in Flex 3. Does anyone know if this is possible using a style function. Currently my style function looks like:
public function myStyleFunc(data:Object, col:AdvancedDataGridColumn):Object { if (data["status"] == "PRICING") return {color:0xFF0000 , fontWeight:"bold" , backgroundColor:0xFF0000};
[Code].....
However the background color does not change.
I have heard on the grape vine that I may need to override some methods to enable the background color property.
I have a custom skin applied to a Flex 4 spark datagrid. One really annoying issue I am having is finding the ability to override or change the selected row border color. I was able to set the selectionColor just fine but the border is still the default light blue color. I need it to be yellow.
Anyone know where I can find this style or override this border that is being set when selection happens within the skin itself.
I have created a search tab and by giving different inputs I am listing search objects in my datagrid. I want to color each row wrt to its type e.g For Admin Red color or red text is displayed in respected datagrid row. How can I do that, atm I am using this code for creating datagrid.
I am implementing a scrollbar using a custom embedded image using my CSS stylesheet. This is a very simple, thin scrollbar. I would like to configure this scrollbar using CSS properties at runtime, but so far I have been unable to do so. I know it can be done because I've seen examples of it in the net, but no code to review.
The examples I've seen seem to show how to change the color that shows when the user actually hovers over the textinput field.
However when the validation fails, a generic textInput border qill have a red line over it. My CSS file uses a border skin for the textInput, so I can't see this line.
I was hoping there was a way to highlight the text box when it failed validation, or re-enable the red line feature. I don't want to get rid of my CSS cos it'll totally blow my color-scheme, but any tweak allowing the error line
I have made a custom ActionScript mxml component, which is a spark TitleWindow with a text area, which header (titlebar) should display a green background if it finds the word 'success' in its text, or red, if it doesn't.
My problem is that I don't know where to access and modify this property, and the only turnaround I've found is binding the 'chromeColor' of the TitleWindow to depend on a boolean that will change depending on whether I find or not the word 'success'. And this does change the TitleBar background to the color I desire, however, it also changes the scrollbar color, for example, which is a bit nasty. The code for my class is the following:
How can I change border color of tab in tab navigator control at runtime? I am trying to access it with its id "mytab" and update it's style.
this.mytab.setStyle("bordercolor","red"); A TabNavigator has multiple tabs and I have to change style of few tabs based on some logic. StyleDeclaration is applicable for all the tabs under tab navigoter but how can use CSSStyleDeclaration based on componentid? The only shortfall with this approach is that Style can not be changed for individual tab.
I did a search, but couldn't find my issue, which was rather surprising. I have an actionscript 3.0 component (flvplayback) and I want to simply change the highlight color from the default green color. You used to be able to do this by a style manger "halo" color or something I don't remember exactly (AS 2.0), but this doesn't work w/ 3.0 components. I thought I could double click on the component in the library, but I can't seem to change the style that way either. I have also tried to place individual items on the stage, like the play button and change the styles there, but it doesn't inherit the changes to the flvplayback component.
