I wanted to ask how I can put links into a datagrid. My dataProvider is the folling xml

sure with some more items in it. Now I want to have a datagrid that displays the name as a label and when clicking on the row the url is opened.
I know some stuff about item renderes but I don't know how I can give the url to the item renderer. Maybe with a classfactory? But how can I control which url is given to the specific item renderer?

I am working on a problem since a week soon, but I still couldn't make it work as expected. I have a DataGrid which has HBox with a CheckBox an a Label as itemRenderer (see Code below). When I tap in to the Cell the standard itemEditor pops up and lets you enter the content of the label. Thats the standard behavior. I works fine except for 2 problems:
If I enter to much text, the horizontal srollbar pops up, and the cell is filled with that scrollbar. As you see I tried to set the horizontalScrollPolicy to off, but that doesnt work at all... I tried to do that for all the different elements, but the failure is still existent. When I have filled more than one row, there is an other mistake happening. If I tap on a row, the datagrid selects the one below that row. That's only if one line is already selected. If I tap outside the datagrid and then, tap at any row the itemEditor of the right row will show up... Is there anything now wright in the setup of my set data method?
Both have single columns. Selecting one item from Divsions datagrid should display members of that Division in the Members datagrid. But following code has some problem and Members of a particular division do not show up when respective Divsion is clicked.

For poor performance reasons, the DataGrid will cache checkboxes and reuse them for different rows. If you have 50 rows, it won't create 50 checkboxes. It will create as many checkboxes at are visible, plus a few more for padding, and then reuse them as you scroll. This is why you need to explicitly manage their state. How can improve it ? I am using DataGrid in one of my flex application. But, I don't want the DataGrid vertical and horizontal lines to appear within that DataGrid.I used style of verticalGridLines and horizontalGridLines.
But, the problem is, I want some specific vertical and horizontal lines to be removed. By using above styles, all vertical and horizontal lines were getting removed.
I'm creating a table that displays information from a MySQL database, I'm using foreignkeys all over the place to cross-reference data.
Basically I have a datagrid with a column named 'system.' The system is an int that represents the id of an object in another table. I've used lableFunction to cross-reference the two and rename the column. But now sorting doesn't work, I understand that you have to create a custom sorting function. I have tried cross-referencing the two tables again, but that takes ~30sec to sort 1200 rows. Now I'm just clueless as to what I should try next.
Is there any way to access the columns field label inside the sort function?

All i have a flex editable datagrid. By default if i press the left navigation arrow key , it moves to the left but not to the next cell. I would like to override the keydown event such that if the left navigation arrow key is pressed down i set the focus to the next cell on the left.
In short the user needs to be able to navigate using the keyboard through the cells using just like in excel(currently the arrow keys move between characters within a cell).

The datasource is an XMLListCollection. tracing the expression myDataGid.selectedItem I can see the studentID node and it has a value.
I see that starting with Flex 4.5, Adobe recommends that we use the spark.components.DataGrid class as an alternative to the mx:dataGrid which I am not at all familiar with or where to start to learn. I have this mx:dataGrid all setup and otherwise working and would prefer not to have to learn something new.

In my Flex app I am using a repeater to show a report on my database data. On this report the user can "drill-down" on the data to show more detail. How to populate a flex datagrid from an Arraycollection without specifying DataGridColumn's individually. Is there any custom datagrid available where I can pass the datasource arraycollection and see the data populated in the output. Without knowing the structure / bluprint of an object is there anyway to find how many member variable that class have?
i created a flash slideshow with pictures of events and link each picture with its own event (ie. each pictures has its own links to the website). I created the fade in and fade out effect using the class motion tween. With the link, I created a layer with a button that has alpha= 0 (so the user don't see it) and then I used code snippet to make another layer with the action script "click to go to url."
When the slideshow goes to the last picture I made it fade out and the first picture of the slideshow would show up and then the slideshow would replay itself (by default?). My goal is to make a continuous slideshow.
When I tested the swf file, the first time it runs, everything is right. The urls and the pictures are in correct order. However when the slideshow replays itself automatically, I notice that the links are incorrect. In the first play, when I click the picture of the event it would open the url of that event.However when the sldieshow replays, clicking the pictures would only open the url of the first event picture. When I click on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.pictures the browser opens only the link of the first picture of the slideshow.
I've got a PHP script that searches for links in a block of text and converts them to HTML values. The $message variable is then entered into my database using a simple INSERT. So far, so good. Then I have Flash parse the message using XML:

The problem, however, is that my links don't work. The rollover works from the CSS styling, but the links don't actually go anywhere. When I rollover the links, the hand cursor doesn't appear, and clicking only serves to change the color back to the non-hover value.
I'm writing some code in Flash MX 2004 and everything works fine except for the last button (4DSystemsProducts).According to the coding if none of the drop down buttons work it should go to products.php, but for some reason it goes to 4DSystemsProducts.php. All of the other menus are coded the same way and work fine, if I take out that button it works fine,or if I take out button 7 and switch 4DSystems to button 7 everything works.Here is the code to clear up this explanation. I have a TabNavigator, and each tab is a Module. One of the modules is labelled Units and the full code of the module is posted in this post. There are several problems:
1) Forms are not populated with data from the datagrid selection. 2) Selecting a row and clicking delete gives the very-common error: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
A trace on the valueObject unit within the selectionChangeHandler function gives NULL. Why? Note: In other modules (other tabs of the TabNavigator), I have DropDownLists populated with units. This means that the valueObject Unit is defined in the other modules. However, valueObjects should be private to modules, and not shared.
I had display in link as follows. Three Links on left hand side ,two links on right hand Side and in between Some space has to be there. Please suggest how to do this. i have a problem using the itemRenderer functionality. When using an ArrayCollection the visible Data in the DataGrid using the itemRenderer will be rendered just fine. But if i start scrolling the entries are repeating in the cells using the renderer. The cells are not filled with date according to the id. What mistake i'm doing here.
