Ideally I'm looking for a library I can use to translate these many attributes into "proper" html and css. The current technology stack is PHP at the back end and javascript at the front end, but there would be little problem in using any other language to do the translation.
Failing that I guess I'll try and write my own, using the api reference as a guide.

View 5 Repliesi'am developing a flex media player that will be include in a simple html file. my project plane is:

View 1 RepliesI have an integration problem between an HTML and a Flex application. I have a Flex application that exists on a domain, let's say [URL]. The application requires the user to login from a user, password input built in Flex - The user information is stored in a database that the Flex application query through php. Now I want to build an external login from a html form. This form is a part of a site on let's say the domain [URL]. I want to be able to fill in the user information on the 'otherdomain', send him/her to 'onedomain' with POST variables and make the Flex application use the credentials and login the user in the application.
How can I implement this in a secure way? I don't want to e.g. store the username and password plainly in flashvars. I can login the user before the Flex application. So it would be possible to e.g. login the user, get perhaps some token from the server that could be passed to the flex application, and then check that the token is right according to the server from a Flex call.
have no experience in Adobe Air/Flex and wanna know, Are there some principles(design patterns) for develop Adobe Air/Flex applicati

Are there any other swf to HTML converters, I know there is Wallaby and Swiffy from Google, but does anyone know any others, that support ActionScript. I want to convert a swf file to HTML, but the swf has some ActionScript (AS3) code inside it that is used to populate the swf. I want to be able to convert this into HTML and use JavaScript to populate the HTML version.
View 1 Replies However I've spent hours trying to find out how to do something very simple in HTML.
Say I have a very simple HTML Form like this...
<form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action="http://website.com/form">
<input type="text" name="your-name" id="your-name" />
<input type="text" name="email" id="email" />
<input type="submit" name="submit" id="submit" value="Submit" />
</form>
How do I convert it to flash?
what AS3 code I should write, what should I call my form text fields and my button instance. Also where if anywhere should I put the equivalent of the <form></form> tags.
I am converting an html form to a flash form. I am not so good with AS3 and it's the first time I have to create forms so it was quite difficult for me. I am almost done, I did the text fields and the comboboxes, so everything except the checkboxes works.
Here's the html code for the 5 checkboxes;
...<input type="checkbox" name="txtMessage" value="Find Your Pace">...
...<input type="checkbox" name="txtMessage" value="Stress Escape">...
...<input type="checkbox" name="txtMessage" value="Time Revolution">...
...<input type="checkbox" name="txtMessage" value="Ultimate Connections">...
...<input type="checkbox" name="txtMessage" value="Contact Me About Life Coaching">...
Here's an example of how my flash form works;
var variables:URLVariables = new URLVariables();
var varSend:URLRequest = new URLRequest("website");
var varLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader;
varSend.method = URLRequestMethod.POST;
varSend.data = variables;

We're currently building a Flex application using the PureMVC framework with a shell.swf which loads/unloads modules dynamically. We're experiencing issues with memory and we're looking to replace the shell.swf with a JavaScript-based loader.Two questions:What would be a good framework to dynamically load the Flex components and allow the modules to communicate between each other?Would dynamically loading/unloading the modules via JavaScript take care of the typical memory problems associated with Flex/Flash applications?
View 1 RepliesI was reading about Flex- JavaScript communication via ExternalInterface.But I had a doubt, it said that the javascript code should be written in the HTML file of the application ? Now which is this HTML file ? Is it the index.template.html file per project or the HTML file created per MXML application ?

I'm trying to develop a simple mxml Flex application to start Skype from the AIR/Flashplayer runtime. Is it possible to get back events from a native Windows application? In the simple example of Skype, the OS returns control to the Flex app when Skype exits. But what about native applications which have their own event model and wants to communicate with the Flex event model. For example, a Face detection system which shows "Hello" on a Flex app when the camera detects a face. Can this be done in the current Flex framework?
View 1 RepliesI am working on an Adobe AIR Application. The size on Application window is 800X600 and is contains border container and border container contains many controls. View 1 RepliesI have a native (Obj-C, standard Xcode project) application and I'd like to integrate a partners iOS application (or specifically, it's functionality) into it as just another view in my application. The problem is that their application is a Flex/Air app. I really don't understand the Adobe compilation process on how it gets from a bunch of flex code down to an IPA. I don't see intermediate projects, shared objects, etc on the disk to produce that IPA. It looks like it doesn't rely on the Apple tool chain... as I understand it, you can produce the IPA on Windows as well. Is there any way to build that Flex app in such a way that I can import it into Xcode so I can link against it and use it as a library from within my application? While I specifically used iOS as an example since that is the most important platform, we'll want to apply this solution to our respective Android and Blackberry 6 apps as well.
