We're trying to create an app for OpenPeak. The Flash app will act as a client to a Java server on another computer on another domain.The Flash app client connects via XMLSocket. The Java Server uses ServerSocket to receive a request and send back a message.In order to trust the server, the Flash client needs a socket master policy file to tell it that the server comes from a trustworthy domain. According to an article on Adobe, when a connection has succeeded, the Flash client automatically requests the cross-domain policy or socket master policy file on port 843.Still, even when we implement it according to the tutorials and recommendations we have read, the Flash client continues to throw the following security error:[code]We've tried logging the policy file request during testing to see if there was any call made to port 843. There was not.Interestingly, even without a policy file, the Flash client still manages to send the first data message to the server successfully. It's just when the server tries to send back a reply that the entire thing hangs for about 10 seconds before the security error above is displayed.
I am using the same java server given there. and I am creating the XmlSocket in a flex air application. When I run my air application I get a java.net.SocketException connection reset at the java server.
I'm extending XMLSocket to work with a daemon, written in Java, that a peer is using to interface with his PLC controller.What I should be seeing from the daemon is simple digital io info in the form:
Code: d0i,d0o,
Which represents a 'button' dowm/up. The strings are terminated with commas to make it easier for me to parse them. I've got my XMLSocket working just fine, but I'm receiving the data more like this:
Code: socketDataHandler: socketDataHandler: D socketDataHandler: 4
[code]....
So, there's a null character, followed by individual chars that make up the message I'm expecting, only last "," is truncated. It does come through on the next dataEvent:
When dumped to hex. It is my understanding (mostly from a sdocs) that Each XML message is a complete XML document, terminated by a zero (0) byte.I can see that he's sending each CHAR separated by a 00 byte, but they are prepended, not appended like:
I'm attempting to create an XMLSocket that connects to a PHP-written socket server.I think my code is pretty sound. I used to receive an IOError, but now that is solved and I keep receiving "Error #2048: Security sandbox violation". My .swf, socket server, and crossdomain files are all in the same directory.
I tried asking this on the Spring forums ([URL]) but did not get a response. I'm working on a web application that has an (end user) user interface built in Flex and a management user interface built using Spring MVC. I'm trying to secure both interfaces and can get each one working separately, but not together. I'm using a snapshot build of spring-flex-core 1.5.0 with Spring Security 3.1RC1 and Spring 3.1M1
[Code]...
I'm obviously missing something but while the Spring Flex documentation describes how to configure a hybrid MVC+Flex application at the servlet level it appears to only consider security from the perspective of a flex-only application.
My SWF resides on domain A, is loaded by a web site on domain B and is trying to ping URL (URLLoader.load) on domain C. But I am getting "#2048: Security sandbox violation" .. why? Of course I have read the manual, I saw the security white paper but I do not understand it. Don't you know any blog or such where it is explained for dummies? With lots of examples and maybe a table showing what is allowed and what is not?
I have a client-server multigame suite for PC ("kind of" cross-platform using cygwin), which is developed in Java(game menus and database management), C++ (server side), and adobe Flash (game graphics & interaction).
I have never tried to develop for android, so i have no experience.I am thinking of migrating this suite to google TV. So i would like someone with android experience to give a clue on the following :
1) Is it going to be easy to migrate the Java application to an Android application?
2) What kind of Flash support does Android have? Can it load directly swf applications? Does it have to load swf's through browser?
3) Can i find any kind of performance indexes for google TV hardware?
I need to load somehow the html code of a webpage A into a javascript string of another webpage B, on a different host. I know this is impossible to do with javascript alone because of the same origin policy, and I know I could do it loading the page via php on my server and then send results back to the user's client but I wouldn't be able to handle so many requests, so I need it to be done directly by the user's browser. I can use nearly whatever browser scripting language/applet framework common enough to be installed on the majority of my users' computers, like flash and java.On example, what if I use flash or java to load the external html code and then call a javascript callback function providing the source? Could this work?
If one doesn't have the source code, the only to test is to send keystroke and mouse move so I found this product but it's not free and opensource price is not even known :([URL] Squish supports automating interactions and testing non-HTML/DOM elements, that is, native objects, which are embedded in a web page. This is done at a fairly abstract level, which means that mouse and text input can be recorded and replayed.
In addition it is possible to inspect embedded native objects with the Spy tool and to insert verifications for these native objects. All of a native object's public properties can be accessed in test scripts.
I have a server that I have written in Python and I'm trying to connect to it via Flash's XMLSocket. I know for sure that this server is working properly as I have used it successfully with multiple non-Flash client applications. For right now, I just want to connect to the remote server with an SWF residing on my local disk. From what I understand, this means that I do not need a security policy file since the SWF is not in another domain. I have also confirmed that the security sandbox property of the file is set to local-trusted, so the SWF should be able to connect to servers and retrieve data from them. Here's the important code from the AS file:
I get following error: Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: [URL] cannot load data from 192.168.3.5:4854. at TicTacToe_fla::MainTimeline/TicTacToe_fla::frame1() ". I tryed to solve this problem about 3 hours, but I failed I have the file crossdomain.xml in the same folder like my .swf file on the server with this content:
I have a Flash client that I want to connect to a server. Both are using localhost and port 50000 so there shouldn't be any cross-domain problems. I also set Access Network Only in the publishing settings. When I call the XMLSocket connect, the server seems to get a new connection. But, the XMLSocket.onConnect callback is not called with success=true.[code]...
I believe my flash client is losing some packets the server sends, because some packets get joined together hence I believe it drops them.Here is my packetHandler in flash
private var xmlsock:XMLSocket; this.xmlsock = new XMLSocket(); xmlsock.connect("127.0.0.1", 1234);[code].......
A possible packet I sniffed sent by the server was.
I have two software to create with AIR: a server and a client. Both with AS3 and AIR.I want to avoid having a big architecture with Remote Shared Object, or using BlazeDS, or having to set a Java / Python / ... server in the middle.In order to avoid having to parse socket data in the server and in the client side, I thought about using XMLSocket on the client side: the data arrives in a way which is already parsed by the Flash framework.However, when I use this XMLSocket with the AIR ServerSocket, the "connect" event returns me a raw Socket on the server side. So I have to manually manage the XML data on the server side.
Is there a way to also use an XMLSocket on the server side to communicate with the client? A kind of trick to convert the returned Socket into an XMLSocket?If there is an AS3 library which manages that, I did not find it.
I am attempting to connect to a python twisted socket server with Flash using XMLSocket. The connect works fine, and so does the receive. However I can't send data to the server. Is there a specific format I should be using? The reason I ask is because I couldn't read any data with the XMLSocket until the data was in the form "something", that is, the data string had to be valid xml followed by the null character. Is there a trick to sending data?
I don't think this a cross site security problem, because if it was, I believe I wouldn't be able to connect or receive. I am able to connect to the server using telnet and a java client without issues. EDIT: I figured it out, the problem was my server needed to have the data sent to it end with"
I've been searching a long time to find a way to do multiplayer in flash. I came across xmlSocket. I'm trying it out really simple at first:
[Code].....
I've gotten all the policy stuff working. And this works perfectly while testing on my computer. If you're wondering, I have a python script listening on port 2950. Here's the python code:
[Code]....
Finally to the problem. No matter what I try, I can't seem to get these two applications to communicate when on different machines. When I try it, no messages even get through to python, it doesn't see anything trying to establish a connection. So I suspect it is having a problem on the flash side of things. Also, is there any way to have multiple flash apps communicating directly, rather than going through the server?
I'm working on a Flash project and someone recommended Red5 as a media streaming server. Do I need to know java to use build applications that use Red5 as their server?
I am getting a strange problem while I am making my release build swf.The swf is supposed to make some internal server calls and then display the data and also play it.When I make a release build swf and excute it, while making server calls it throws exceptions likeSecurityErrorHandler: [SecurityErrorEvent type="securityError" bubbles=falsecancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2170: Security sandbox violation:file:///Path to the swf/WebPlayer.swf cannot send HTTP headers to **Method Name to bring data from the server***]And after this nothing can be done as everything depends on the data from the server..I have updated my cross-domain.xml on the server to support the master-only policy file but that also didnt ..My cross-domain.xml is
I haven't fully grasped how the flash security model works, and now I've ran into a problem. I have a base SWF that loads a game loader swf, which in turn loads the actual game.What I'm trying to do is taking a current bitmap snapshot of the running game. This works fine before the loader swf has loaded the game. When the game is loaded, I get a security violation because the game has images pulled from facebook. Is this something that can be solved on my end, or restricted by security in the game swf?
I am having newbie problems with sockets. Flash sends data to my php server script fine, and my telnet client(s) all get updated. When I make an entry into a telnet client, all of the other clients update immediately as expected. In Flash however, the only time I receive data is when I press a key within flash.
Example: Press 'a' within Flash, flash traces a, telnet outputs a Press b in telnet, telnet outputs b, nothing within flash Press c in Flash, flash traces b, c, telnet traces c
[Code]....
I guess this is more of an issue of how to set up Flash to listen for events on the socket
I have a server written in C# (Visual C# .NET Framework), that I know for a fact works. When I run my Flash application, I am able to connect to the server (the server shows the message that a connection has been made), but I can't for the life of me get data to be received by the Flash application.
What I try to do is make a RSS reader in flash that plays a sound when the RSS feed is changed. In an older version I reloaded the xml via a little timer, but what I understand about this socketthingy is that it keeps an open connection with the server/feed? Am I correct that this socket parses data (or smth) as soon as the xml changes ? If yes, why dont this work ? (it does after loading, but not if the swf is running and the xml is changed)
I'm having trouble with an AS3 AMF RemoteObject request that is hosted on App Engine. I have a crossdomain.xml file in the root of the domain, and also one at the remoting endpoint.Here are the contents of the root crossdomain.xml:
Loading the swf file and testing it on my machine works just fine... I think that may have something to do with me having the debugger version of Flash Player. When I push it up to App Engine to make it public, other clients access it and get a Client.Error.MessageSend Channel.Security.Error error Error #2048 url: http:[url].......I am using Flex 4 beta, and the App Engine Python runtime. I have tried full wildcard in the crossdomain, and even accessing the data endpoint at a relative URL so as to avoid this error.
I am a .NET Developer, but the question I am having is not related to .NETPlease keep this in mind even if my question sounds very trivial.This is my question:We have an swf in the browser, which communicates with a java extensionIts done using Smartfox Server(Used for MMO apllications)From the swf we are grabbing a portion of the screen as "Byte Array" in action script(3).And in Java, we are calling a function that converts the ByteArray to Image and then saves it.ur Java developer is encountering the errorSo basically, what I would like to know is this:How to accept the object type Byte Array from ActionScript in Java?Whats Java object type that is mapped to Byte Array in ActionScript?The conversion part is easy, I dare say. code in the ActionScript Section
public function savePhoto(uName:String, ba:ByteArray, descr:String):void{ var obj:Object = {}; obj.arr = ba;
I tried with flex and java in the backend. In this, I am able to upload files till 100 MB using remote object (blazeDs) where we will read the file as byte array and send it to the java method. If the file size exceeds after that, then I get the run time error in IE.
I could play MIDI file where "filename" is a String type with "asd.mid" value. However, I tried to sent AIR's nativeprocess command to Java, it shown "could not read" error.
I am using Flex 3 and make a call through a RemoteObject to a Java 1.6 method and exposed with BlazeDS and Spring 2.5.5 Integration over a SecureAMFChannel. The ActionScript is as follows (this code is an example of the real thing which is on a separate dev network);
I'm building a Facebook multiplayer game where the client side is in FLEX and the server side is in Java and I wanted to know if there is a guide on how to build the server clients managing system. When I say server clients managing system, I mean a server which many clients will connect to and will be able to choose between tables to join and play or to create their own table, same way as in texas holdem poker.
