View 1 RepliesI am currently creating a new rotating home page banner, on the second banner rotation it displays a youtube video, I've managed to load the video, position etc with out much drama, the issue comes with the actual rotation it self, i need the banner to stop once the user clicks play on the youtube video:Below is the code I'm currently using, is there an easy line of code I can use, to call the stop(); on press of the youtube video?[code]

I've managed to get the services link to do what I'm after but that is because it is positioned straight after the opening animation in the timeline - that is to have the banner fade out and the bottom line drop down to allow room for the content. From the home page I want each of the links, when clicked, to fade out the banner and drop the banner line down......THEN.......if home is clicked from any of the other pages I want the banner line to move back up and the banner to resume (in my case this is frame 279)

View 1 RepliesSo I am doing a flash intro page, but the intro becomes the home page, as in all the pieces come together to create the Flash home page, so that there is just one file for the home page that includes the intro from Flash..how do I make it so that all the parts on the page stay there indefinitely, because right now after a certain amount of time, they disappear due to using the timeline in Flash.

Basically I have a login form. and if credentials are wrong I want it to show an alert in HTML which another Javascript manages. Anyway I have setup a test page here As you can see when you input the wrong credentials it will display an alert. But I want it to perform an action in HTML? (This is so hard to describe)

It works great when I am on the home page, but stops working once I navigate to any of the other pages. I have an Actions layer and that layer extends the full length of all pages/frames of the timeline.
I have the frames labeled as such: home, services, about, and contact. (All are "Type:Name")
each button is named as such: home/ instance of "home", services/instance of "services", etc.
i always see some fancy/complex/elements got random motion: flash home page navigation, such as [URL] I just wondering is it very complex/hard to make one? & How can a newbi, like me get started to make one? does it involve complex/advanced actionscript?

getURL("[URL]" , "_blank"); at the end of movie, but i keep getting errors.. this is the website that i'm working on LINK It's a very simple. i'm not even going to dare to make it fancier. View 1 RepliesI have a project for a site that sells fishing lures.I want to have an animated index page before moving on to the home page. My idea is to have a boat sitting on a pond fishing lines in the water, when a fish jumps out of the water, the water ripples, the next time you see the fish it's got a hook in it mouth and jumping out of the water.how do I go about it? How to I create the water rippling? I think with the fish I can do easily enough with it jumping on and off stage. Would I do the water with shape tweens?

For example, I run and am wanting to make the direct links from the websites of the seven artists involved (mostly flash sites) to their specific page on thesite... does that make sense?

I used HTTPService POST method to call a php file that returns me an xml type of result like

This result is obtained after the php files queries a database. The database contain other information too like (height, gender, education and address)Now i have a DataGrid (having two columns: NAME and AGE) and a Form below the DataGrid. I have displayed the above mentioned xml data in the DataGrid using the dataprovider="{userRequest.lastResult.User}" attribute.
I now want to use the itemclick=itemClickEvent(event) so that when a user click on a row of the DataGrid other information related to the clicked row like (height, gender, education etc) may appear in the form which is placed below the DataGrid in the GUI. For now my itemClickEvent, look like:

I am having an interface in flash which contains 3 text fields for ID_Num, Name, Age. and i am having the excel data which contains many rows relevant to the above text fields. what i need is to display those details in the relevant fields if i enter the ID_Num. and also to add, modify or delete data into the excel data.
View 1 RepliesI have an animated logo swf file that loads and runs once on the home page every time the page loads. The logo has been updated to appear in three different colour schemes. I want one scheme to load and when the page is refreshed or revisited, one of the other colour schemes to load in its place. They can appear in any random order, just a different one to the one that played before reloading.Can someone point me to an answer or tell me how to do it? I have found a way in JavaScript but this only works on plain images, not swf files.
View 6 RepliesOur sales people accepted flash banners without a click tag and then scream in anger when our ads server (openx) didn't count correctly the clicks. I'm looking if exists some way of "simulate" a click tag, I don't know exactly how, maybe with some JavaScript.
