I've got a Zend Framework project with an admin area. In the admin area is a Adobe Flex (Flash) application to create, save and open pdf files. The pdfs are stored in http://localhost/public/pdf/.Is it possible that only the flex application (logged admin) has the permission to open the generated pdf files?How can i protected the files from a direct external browser call eg. through http://localhost/public/pdf/mysecret.pdf

I'm working on making a pretty chunky game engine for games I plan on making, but I was wondering if you make external AS files unopenable such as .lib files, so that if I give it to a friend that wants to use it, he/she cannot change my code. Is there anyway to make external AS files unopenable? Also, obfuscation isn't an option for this problem as it only stops the people who hack the finished product, not stopping people who have access to the actual files.

How is something like this achieved ? How does image scrambling work ? I've noticed the image is stored a bitmap. Not sure how information is stored.I imagine it would be possible to use something like AS3SWF to access the content of a swf, but what would I need to change for the image swf tags ? View 3 RepliesOn our own website, it's easy to protect against direct links to our video content by grabbing a token through AJAX and verifying the token through PHP before the file download is started.
However I'm also researching how I could provide an embed feature, like YouTube or vimeo etc., without compromising this security feature.
The problem is that the embed code I want to provide should look something like <object>...<embed>...</embed></object> -- but I don't know how to grab and append the token to the filename. I mean, I guess I could attach a script that did some gnarly JNOP business, but that's too dirty.I'm using JW Player for the actual video container.
I am using in AS3 "External Interface ". When I call the JS function that is on the same page as swf everything works fine.
I added a link in the html page to an external JS file, when I move the JS function to the external JS file the website crushes.
I would prefer to have all my JS functions on an external file so I can use them in the future in other project and it also makes it easier for me to update the site.

Structure: There is 1 main file that loads external SWF files depending on what is clicked on.One of the external SWF files loads its text from external text files. This works fine when viewing the SWF applet on its own. But when viewing as a whole site, the text doesnt appear. Very annoying.I made that particular SWF on my mums computer running Flash MX 2004The flash file itself uses the Scrollbar component from MX.Could someone tell me why the text doesnt load in this scenario? In my main.fla, I have a code which loads the other two files. If i will click the "unload" button in the file1.swf, I would like the main.fla to unload the file1.swf and load the other file, file2.swf. Here is the code to load the file1.swf:

i try to call the library from outside my main.fla but i found errors.
Lets say I have subgallery.swf file that loads jpeg images. And I have gallery.swf file that loads subgallery.swf.The jpeg images and both swf files are in the same folder.When I test gallery.swf it loads subgallery.swf but subgallery.swf doesn't load images. When testing subgallery.swf alone, it loads jpeg files.Is there any limitation or setting preventing external swfs loading other content?

In the process of writing the code, whenever I make a change and then test the movie, the flash movie is obviously still looking at the OLD information. I tried using the "Delete ASO Files" on the menu, to no avail.I can' find these ASO files anywhere on mycomputer.Aha! I tried something else. I have my main file that has the normal menu that he would be principal.swf, I is using this to call the other .swf that he would be noticias.swf, that would have a project of the news in xml.[code]my problem is following, when I compels my file noticias.swf it appears normal with the news, but when I am in the file principal.swf and click in button 2 menu it brings me the file noticias.swf but without xml, xml does not appear no way, somebody knows as I can fixed this?

It's working perfectly in Firefox and Explorer but it only works SOME of the time in Safari (on my mac).It's hit and miss. Sometimes it styles the text sometimes it doesn't.

I have an ActionScript program that I want to access some external JavaScript functions. By external, I mean that the ActionScript/swf aren't going to be loaded via the HTML/JavaScript. Everything I see recommends ExternalInterface, but that seems to imply that your JS loads your swf. Is there a way to call a JavaScript function by URL?
